Democrats Introduce Public National Service Bills
Comprehensive national service plan detailed; Corporation for National Service would be granted Cabinet-level status

A Democratic Senator from Connecticut has introduced four bills aimed at establishing a groundwork for a system of comprehensive national service.
Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., says that the legislation will “create the architecture and the structure that will serve as the invitation for everyone to serve.”
The Senate bills, co-sponsored by Thad Cochran, R-Miss., are companion legislation to bills Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-3rd District, introduced Tuesday in the House, calling for increases in federal spending for public service programs.
The legislation would target everyone from schoolchildren to the elderly and aim to create new bases of volunteers beyond the usual young-adult pool of service-program participants, reports The Day.
Two of the bills, named the Summer of Service Act and the Semester of Service Act, are particularly aimed at middle school and high school students and will offer “credits” in return for participation in community-service programs.
Some residents and education experts are concerned that such public service programs may become part of student graduation requirements.
A third bill, named The Encore Service Act, offers cash awards to people aged 55 and over who complete 250 or 500 hours of public service. In return for their service, participants would also receive an education award which could be transferred to their children or grandchildren.
A fourth bill, The ACTION Act, is aimed at increasing awards for AmeriCorps volunteers and reestablishing the Corporation’s connection with federal agencies. The bill would also grant the Corporation for National Service Cabinet-level status under the Obama administration.
Sen. Dodd is reintroducing the bills which he previously failed to bring to a vote.
Dodd told the media that the legislation is a response to President Obama’s call in his inaugural address for national service.
”People ask me why I joined – I joined because the president asked,” Dodd said. “We’ve got a president who’s asking.”

We have previously highlighted the eagerness that the new president and his staff have displayed in calling for a system of national service.
Back in July 2008, Obama, then the presidential front runner, called for a “civilian national security force” as powerful as the U.S. military.
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,” Obama told a Colorado Springs audience.
The comments that were ignored by the vast majority of the corporate media but were found to be troubling by some independent journalists who compared the idea to the formation of the Nazi Hitler Youth.
Fears of “youth brigades” or civilian stasi style units increased following Obama’s appointment of Rahm Emanuel to chief-of staff.
In his book, “The Plan: Big Ideas for America,” Emanuel writes: “It’s time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, all Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service.”
The book also notes, “Some Republicans will squeal about individual freedom, ruling out any likelihood that they would let people opt out of universal citizen service.”
Emanuel is also an enthusiastic supporter of the United States Public Service Academy Act, a lobbying group founded in 2006 in order to promote the foundation of an American public service academy modeled on the military academies – a youth corps whose students would be trained in “civilian internship in the armed forces”.
Furthermore, in a rediscovered 2006 audio clip of an interview with Ben Smith of the New York Daily News, Emanuel outlined the agenda for compulsory military-style training, essentially a domestic draft, aimed at preparing Americans for a chemical or biological terrorist attack.
When controversy arose over the program last November, the use of the word “required” to describe the program was removed from Obama’s change.gov website and replaced with “community service” type terminology.
Last month we also reported on the introduction by the Department of Defense of a “civilian expeditionary workforce” that will see American civilians trained and equipped to deploy overseas in support of worldwide military missions.
Though the civilian expeditionary workforce program is restricted to DoD employees, similar programs have already been established for public sector workers.
One such program has seen hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers recently trained and dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.

I used feel secure living in the United States until I learned international bankers pretty much run the show. Until these evil people are removed from decision making this system gets little cooperation from my family or me. If the service bill becomes law there will be five more expats of the U.S. in the world. My kids will not use their mind, develop blisters on their hands or shed their blood for a nation who is ran by evil oppressors with exclusive rights to printing presses to lobby anyone they wish to bribe.
This is not Israel and some of us are not proud of the U.S. at this point in time. We need an Andrew Jackson now. Go Ron Paul and Co., give them bassterds hell.

how do you defeat the enemy without becoming the enemy? that seems to be the question and the only answer i see is to become the enemy. we could never subvert the system. it is too big and we would easily be spotted and killed. if we really wanted freedom we would all join up and migrate to some highly isolated place with fertile soil and and a nice water source. trying to change the system from within will eventually change you.

I also have been attempting to tell people about what’s going on and they all think I’m crazy.
NOTE: If you want to get someone’s attention, you cannot throw around words like: “Bilderberg,” or “NWO,” or 9/11 Truth Movement,” among other things.
If you include these words in your conversation, you will automatically be cut off and forgotten before you can say “wtf!” There has to be another way to get people to listen. If anyone has any clues, please let us know.

If a group of well respected and esteemed medical professionals got together and announced their support for the official story and denounced the truth movement, debunkers would be all over it like white on rice.
Your tone of desperation in attempting to smear these professionals is very revealing. We have presented countless people who were there and reported explosions and other things inconsistent with the official story (such as the firefighters who found the black boxes but were told to shut up by the FBI). In almost every case, debunkers have dismissed such eyewitnesses claiming they are laymen and as such unreliable or unscientific. Now a group of respected professionals with scientific style training come out against the official story and you claim they are wrong because they weren’t there and didn’t see it in person. Complete double standard.

Yea, many people on this and other sites should recognize that cleaning up their mouths (or posts) would probably have a better effect at reaching out towards the general public. At the same time, that is completely besides the points of the author. Nobody is perfect. Respond to the arguments and not towards the style of the person making the claim.
Also, here’s something that’s been on my mind. Not sure if you care at all, but I think it’s deep…. and speaks of what is happening now…and has been happening for hundreds of years..

Er no, troll, actually that was reported by the Philadelphia Daily News. The firefighters who found the black boxes were Nicholas DeMasi and Mike Bellone. DeMasi wrote a book about it, so don’t claim it’s an internet conspiracy theory.
“At one point, I was asked to take Federal Agents around the site to search for the black boxes from the planes,” he wrote. “We were getting ready to go out. My ATV was parked at the top of the stairs at the Brooks Brothers entrance area. We loaded up about a million dollars worth of equipment and strapped it into the ATV…”
“There were a total of four black boxes. We found three.”
Yet the FBI and the 9/11 Commission denied any black boxes were found.

The original stated goal was mandatory service. Even if it is paid for, mandatory service is slavery. It was so thinly veiled before people started realizing what was going on, that three months of service by everyone between 18 and 24 was the goal. I will NOT send my children to brainwashing camp for 3 months.

Look, The only important fact of the 9-11 attacks that seems to missed time and time again is that even if the steel collapsed due to extreme heat (total bullshit) the central cores of all three of those buildings would not have budged. There is absolutely no way for those giant concrete structures that are also called the elevator cores to have pancaked because they are one continuos structure from the fourteen foot thick or more footings right to the top. Also the surrounding steel structure doesn’t actually even attach itself to these cores due to the expansion joint that is mandatory because of the natural shifting of the building. We have an all volunteer military. As a free people we have been given the choice as to whether or not we want to be in the military. I bet the elite don’t sign up for Selective Service like the peasants. If every person is part of the military, then no person is a civilian. If no person is a civilian, then nobody has rights! When in the military (even in the US), your body is owned by the government. Most if not all Constitutional rights are taken away. If you want to be in the military go, if not then don’t. I am sick of people who want the country to go to war, want destruction, but even when eligible do not enlist. Take responsibility for your views by experiencing a bullet bouncing off the wall two inches from where you just stood as you try to duck and shoot.

This is ridiculous. By doing this they undermine trust in themselves and behave as if they feel they´re better off with this than without it.
If they don´t want to be free they should rather admit that than to force people to ´serve´ something that´s most probably not gonna be of any benefit to anyone.
It´ll be just another Hegellian system kind of non corporeal entity that´s designed to swallow up the citizen.
The citizen disappears into this non corporeal entity which becomes a vast collective which swallows his identity , according to some of Hegel´s ideas. Hegel wrote about such entities which he felt represented the mind – set or mental state of those who resided in the cities during his time. Because the city was considered the most heavily populated area at the time they had no proper concept to define such entities or governing bodies and if Hegel or Kant or even George Whashington would be around today they´d be sorry to find out how stupid people had been to put that into power.
If Hegel were to be transferred into the current timeline he´d probably write the Phenomenology of Cleverness Without Wisdom and publish it at Amazon.com or David Icke books.
