DHS Document Lists “Alternative Media” As Potential Terrorists
“Domestic Extremism Lexicon” memo says “patriot movement” primarily comprises of “violent” groups

A new Homeland Security document that received little attention during last week’s swine flu coverage shockingly lists the “alternative media” with other radical extremist groups and implies that people who disagree with the mass media’s version of events are potential domestic terrorists.
The “official use only” document is entitled “Domestic Extremism Lexicon” and was released on March 26, two weeks before the infamous “right-wing extremists” report that generated so much media attention throughout April.
According to World Net Daily, the DHS document was almost immediately rescinded, but the groups listed alongside Neo-Nazis, Aryan prison gangs and black power extremists again prove that the federal government is targeting American citizens who are merely knowledgeable about their rights and up on current issues as potential domestic terrorists to be treated as a “threat” to law enforcement.

The preamble to the document reads as follows;
“(U//FOUO) Homeland Security Reference Aids—prepared by the DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A)—provide baseline information on a variety of homeland security issues. This product is one in a series of reference aids designed to provide operational and intelligence advice and assistance to other elements of DHS, as well as state, local, and regional fusions centers. DHS/I&A intends this background information to assist federal, state, local, and tribal homeland security and law enforcement officials in conducting analytic activities. This product provides definitions for key terms and phrases that often appear in DHS analysis that addresses the nature and scope of the threat that domestic, non-Islamic extremism poses to the United States. Definitions were derived from a variety of open source materials and unclassified information, then further developed during facilitated workshops with DHS intelligence analysts knowledgeable about domestic, non-Islamic extremism in the United States.”

In the same breath as radical Cuban Communists, the “decentralized terrorist movement,” “lone terrorists,” “racist skinheads” and the Mexican separatist movement, we find an entry for “alternative media,” alongside the blurb, “a term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media products and outlets.”
That’s right folks – the federal government is training its enforcers that people who don’t believe everything they see on Fox News, CNN or read in the New York Times are to be treated as a “threat” and a potential violent domestic terrorist.
Apparently it’s not enough to treat Ron Paul supporters, people who fly U.S. flags or people who are able to accurately recite the Bill of Rights as potential mass killers, now anyone who merely questions what is reported by the corporate media is also a danger, according to the federal government.
The document also lists people who oppose abortion, people who oppose giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants and states that they “can be broadly divided into those who are primarily hate-oriented, and those who are mainly antigovernment and reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority. This term also may refer to rightwing extremist movements that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.”
The document also mentions the “patriot movement” and states that it “primarily comprises (of) violent antigovernment groups.”
As we have documented for years, we haven’t yet come across a violent member of the “patriot movement” who wasn’t also a federal provocateur or at least someone being radicalized by the feds – Timothy McVeigh being a prime example.
The conclusion at the foot of the document encourages recipients in law enforcement to “report information concerning suspicious or criminal activity to DHS and the FBI.” So now according to the feds, running a news website that isn’t owned by General Electric or Rupert Murdoch is suspicious and potentially criminal.
As we reported last month, another recent Department of Homeland Security intelligence assessment equates gun owners with violent terrorists and states that radical extremists are “stockpiling” weapons in fear of an Obama administration gun ban.
The document was just the latest in a long sordid line of training manuals in which the federal government characterizes millions of American citizens as potentially violent terrorists who are a threat to law enforcement.
As we have exhaustively documented with the MIAC report and a whole host of others, the federal government apparently has very little concern for any perceived terrorist threat to America coming from the MIddle East or Al-Qaeda cells within the country, and indeed if any such threat existed we are only in more danger, because the feds have been busy training law enforcement that law-abiding American citizens who exercise their legal right to purchase firearms or who exercise their first amendment right to discuss politics or run websites, are potential terrorists who want to instigate a violent revolution.

It would be laughable if it were in a movie or book. It would make for a pretty cheesey plot. I guess reality is often more ridiculous than fiction.
The degenerates that run America long ago set about enslaving its people. Now it seems they’re declaring war on those same people. Many slaves are getting restless and only the obedient ones are not being branded as terrorists.

It is rue that those who have no complaint are those who are earning big salaries through whatever means as money has subsituted what equates to happiness.
Bling as one US visitor put it too me, that did not want to believe even that 9/11 was an inside job and I had to educate him, by showing him the videos.

There could be, or are, some nutcases in these groups who could do something stupid believing that they are good. It doesn’t say that anyone listening to alternative sources ARE terrorists; it says that being in one of these groups could be an indicator. I read it and it is a glossary. A glossary of “domestic extremism”. Isn’t that the same thing as “domestic terrorism” from an ‘Official” point of view? learn to read BETWEEN the lines: “DHS/I&A intends this background

I believe in only peaceful solutions and peaceful resistance. Ghandi and MLK come to mind. Much more positive change than trying to win this un-winnable war.
As long as people have the basic myths of freedom and steady salaries not much will change as the NWO moves forward with its plans. Hitler proved that people can endure almost anything for a sustained amount of time. Truth, people just need air, shelter, food, and water — freedom is a myth. As far as “those ones” being “plants” I’m sure it could happen, but my common sense tells me otherwise.

this is why the new bill going through congress HR1207 (the right for congress to audit the Federal Reserve) is important. It will allow congressional hearings to see where the fed funds go to. If they have nothing to hide then they should not oppose it.
The current law states that the federal reserve can be audited except A, B C etc (which is everything they do with the money supply.

Yes I have had that problem. Be persistent with your family. Most of my family is now aware of the new world order. It was not easy. Some of my friends have woken up. Most of my friends simply don’t care. If someone doesnt watch the news and is completely disinterested in current events then you shouldn’t bother because they are living in Candyland and they will never care. Be sure to read the fine print at the end where it states that bureaucrats should report any suspicious behavior to DHS (which we could take to mean, for instance, someone with a “save the whales” bumper sticker or a peace sign T-shirt, which can be equated, evidently, with people who think dark-skinned people are not human.)

Easy. People looking for like-minded individuals or seeking to reinforce their beliefs, won’t be satisfied with main stream media – there are too many divergent viewpoints shared or their blogs.
Alternate media sites provide a refuge for unconventional ideas, radical or not, based in reality or not. People who post on blogs composed of people with similar views, get their egos stroked more often than having their viewpoints challenged. Alternative media sites are more often visited by people with unconventional viewpoints. Frustration with the fact that their beliefs, values and causes are ignored by or are repulsive to others, radicals find places where their viewpoints are better tolerated if not deemed acceptable.

It was an attempt at analogy arguing the point that having several divergent terms used in the same document does not mean that each are directly associated with one-another. I’d bet that DHS documents refer to alternative media in a benign way, but indicate that violent radicals are more likely to visit them than mainstream media sites. This would imply that alternative media sites would be more closely monitored than other sites for examples of hate speech or inflammatory language.
In other words, it’s not the media that has the terrorist potential, but the fringe element that rely on the alternative media to provide the kind of fodder that they tend to coalesce around.

Why not start with the ones about which there is no doubt. The Bush Administration telegraphed their lawless intent over and over. We now have evidence of their wrongdoing, with more on the way as their co-conspirators exit office.
The Obama Administration has its hands full just slowing the momentum of the previous administration’s criminal behavior. The Obama administration has yet to replace a number of department heads (many were held up in committee by obstructive GOP Senators) and establish their own policies.
I know a few federal workers who are good people frustrated by the bleak, retrogressive policies of the past administration. They tell me that the few policies have been enacted already are very encouraging. Their attitude is much improved.
I’m not blind, I’m just tempered. Not EVERYONE is out to fuck us over, just an unusually privileged few.

These articles are actually starting to make me laugh because they prove how desparate our tyrannical government is getting.
Today I’m at the hospital and what appears to be this yuppie, sniveling, know-it-all nurse practitioner was in the cafeteria watching the news and they were discussing the H1N1 virus. So I mention to her that the whole situation stinks and that there is something out of order with the whole thing just to see what she would say. And she agrees 100%! She then added that she and her colleagues were all stating this stinks to high heaven and reeks of government involvement, hardly the reaction I expected.
It’s pretty bad (and awesome) when the very group that holds itself in the same esteem as the real elite of the continent are getting vocal about these issues.

It is a GLOSSARY, a definition of terms.
Most of the entries describe the violent nature of the groups or their members. The definition of Alternate media, however, makes no such assertions.
This document provides NO context under which you can make that claim. There is no rationale for association by proximity in a document.
The correlation between Alternate Media and terrorism is an intentional misinterpretation to raise the ire of the dull and gullible. In this, Paul Watson was successful.

There is no rationale for association by proximity in a document.” the simple fact that a term needed to be defined on this document means that a threat analysis was distributed by DHS. just because it doesn’t state that threat in the definition does not mean it is not considered to be a threat. “association by proximity” is not relevant and only shows your limited understanding of the full scope of the document. In other words, I think you are a plant(the vegetable kind).

I honestly do believe Alex and the others should do what I’ve done. As so many are skeptical to the point of ridiculing anyone who knows or understands the real truth, stockpile some food, seeds and water and just let the slavery-loving masses become the slaves they deserve to be. There has been enough information put out there to show people how to research, to pay attention and to think. And – they choose to continue paying Nintendo Wii/Playstations, eating popcorn in front of TV sets and being programmed to do their masters’ bidding. They refuse to act on what they’ve been given. Let them have the dictatorship they desire – half of the U.S. population would turn in their own friends, family and neighbors for a few federal brownie points. No more guns, no more guts, no more glory are to be found within these borders. They have vanished as well as those who had those qualities.

First we have memoes being leaked about all these alleged supposed threats. Then when things aren’t going their way they’re going to say we told you so as they are being sent to Gitmo.
Funny thing, The Bush Administration was leaking memoes about possible military scenerios in Iraq for almost a year prior to the invasion. See where this is going don’t you. They’re probing, seeing what the public reaction will be when they take control of the media and other groups in order for them to seize total control. Memoes are leaked for intelligence purposes or politics-let’s hope this was a political leak to show mentality of this administration.

thats the common theme in this document. those who spin information in order to scare fools, or those who use or advocate violence, are terrorists.
it is fine to believe what you want, you can believe that abortion is wrong, or animals have the same rights as people. but when you use violence, or you misrepresent information (such as what has clearly happened here) in order to scare people to your side. then youve broken the law.
these groups are nothing but fascist terrorists, and they deserve to be treated as such.
