The chairman of the senate banking committee – Christopher Dodd – quoted a critic of the plan to expand the Federal Reserve’s powers as being:
like awarding a son a “bigger, faster car right after he crashed the family station wagon.” He added that he hadn’t made a conclusion on the issue.
The critic is correct.
The Fed caused the Great Depression, according to Bernanke himself. The Fed largely caused the current financial crisis. The Fed creates new “money” out of thin air, and then charges massive amounts in interest to the federal government, impoverishing the nation and stealing its natural wealth. And the Fed has refused to tell Congress or the American people where the trillions of dollars in bailout money are going (see this, this, this, and this).

And the Fed is not even really a governmental institution. The Fed itself states that its 12 member banks are private institutions, owned by private banks.
However, Dodd’s statement that he hasn’t yet made up his mind about expanding the Fed’s powers is just for show. In fact, Dodd and House banking committee chair Barney Frank were involved with Summers and Geithner every step of the way in drafting the plan to give the Fed more power.
According to an article by AP, Democratic leaders have committed to enacting the plan before the end of the year and Republicans in both the House and Senate have indicated that they won’t stand in the way of the overhaul.
Paul Joseph Watson and Steve Watson have some strong words and straightforward advice about the issue:
It can be no more apparent than at this time that legislation to audit, repeal and eventually end the Federal Reserve, must be supported by Americans if they want to see their children and their grandchildren grow up without indentured debt and entrenched servitude to a fascistic marriage of private banks and hugely inflated government.
And as Kurt Nimmo notes:
Our only hope at this point is the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, HR 1207, now up to 232 co-sponsors. It needs a two-thirds vote with 290 members on board so … Obama will not veto it.

I think it’s time to call for the impeachment of our incredibly stupid and inept president. Or will it just get ignored? How much more must we take before we lose everything? It is a time for more action from our judicial and legislative Branch’s of government. I wonder how the members of congress and both houses of the senate/republicans,along with the supreme court will handle this. I think it’s shameful if they don’t stop this from happening.

How are they going to handle it? there going to handle it the same way that they have been handling the bail outs. Give out trillions of dollars to the bankers and wall street schemers through the federal reserve bank, then play stupid and ask where did the money go to. There should have been a structured plan before the bailout not after the thieves made off with the money. In a nut shell there going to do exactly what they have been doing all along, NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING. Oh yeah you will see a lot of play acting phony speeches and all the rest that goes with a phony script. You see phonies like Dodd rant and rave for public consumption purposes, but will sellout the public just as they been doing all along. good morning guys, the Fed bank is now having an effect on saving our economy and creating equal loans for all. Kool pres Obma is saving our country. He has apologized for our mistakes and is righting all the wrongs of our oppressive mistakes on our global mistakes. i have been watching news lately and i see that Chrrysler has reopened most of their plants and unemployment is slowing. we are on our way to a healthier and wealthier nation forr all. Even the disinfranchised gusest workers and those who were denied equal opportunity for a good education. obama is funding new educational programs and rrebuilding roads an bridges. Hurray for our disinfranchised gay community/ The will be allowed to marry legally soon in all fifty states. Now this is real progressive hope change and promise. At this writing the Federal Gov’t seems to be in charge of the Auto Industry and has their sights on the Healthcare Industry and the Tobacco Industry. All the while letting the Financial Industry run amuck.

They both are systems which enslave the individual, thus enslaving a whole population. Except capitalism is worse as it allows a country to be owned by private entities who do not have to answer to the people. In reality communism has never been imlemented correctly as it has only been attempted in a monetary system where equality is unachievable so i shouldn’t really call it communism, but for the sake of discussion i’ll call it communism.
