Dollar drops on reserve currency doubts

The dollar fell against the euro and yen on Wednesday after major emerging economies cast doubt on its long-term future as the world’s main reserve currency, dealers said.
In late morning trading in London, the European single currency climbed to 1.3867 dollars from 1.3838 dollars in New York late on Tuesday.
Against the Japanese currency, the dollar slipped to 96.30 yen from 96.42 yen on Tuesday.

Leaders of the so-called BRIC nations — Brazil, Russia, India and China — had on Monday called for a “more diversified” currency system.
“The BRIC leaders are divided between supporting the US dollar — as it is the only choice for now — and advancing the march for an alternative,” said Phil McHugh, who heads the corporate foreign exchange desk at currenciesdirect.com.
“The (BRIC) meeting… will affect future sentiment on the dollar,” he added.

Was just reading about this meeting yesterday. The title of the article? The Bankruptcy of the American Empire, or something like that. Sorry, read a lot of articles every day. Called the most important meeting of the 21st century and is thought to be about replacing our dollar with another currency as the world reserve. At least on a geo-political scale. China, Russia, Brazil, and others in it. US wanted to go, but got the door slammed in her face. Who can blame them? Her government is a whore, and this meeting is apparantly too high-class to allow simple crack whores in it. I hope they use the Yuan. It would speed up the process and swell our ranks to a tipping point within months. That would be fucking awesome! War lies beyond this tipping point, but war is better than just waiting for war.

He was calling the US government a crack whore, I believe. And with US fiscal irresponsibility, I am only shocked not to hear more anger. Yes Americans can use what ever currency it likes. So should other nations. And Obama is doing nothing but giving more power and money to the people who created the whole economic mess in the first place. You’d know that if you would read who these people are and their history. The Obama Administration isn’t a new team, but the same people from the Clinton and Bush administrations. There isn’t Change and you can’t believe a politician when his or her mouth moves.

Yeah, Lucy, that is exactly the garbage-logic the brainwashed would spew. Personally, I do not give a flying funk what is on our printed money. Nonetheless, it should be OUR money, not an international note, not a Federal Reserve note, but our OWN. Look what happens when the printing press is given to foreign or corporate entities, they historically have enlaved the people who use their notes.

The dollar is falling? This should all balance out my friend told me because the Pres obama stimulus plan is working to put more dollars into our country, and this will float it back up. It it were not for pres obama’s stimulus plans we might be all broke and unemployed. I believe we need to give more help to those unemployed and more jobs for our guest workers. In CA all my friends know this plan will work. Please do not be hating on this comment. it is my free speech and opinion. I know thousands read it and agree. Only the haters post negative comments against me because i want to help all poor people in america. that is why i am an obama youth camp instructor. i need to teach the children about sharing and caring which is our theme this week. we also have a spanish translator for our spanish speaking students. We received memos from our team leader that in the future all american children will learn to speak spanish as a second language and participate in our youth camps. Their is strength in diversity and we are a mulitcultural nation therefore we must adapt. I read this in our istructors guide today. i am also reading about socilism which is very popular and sucessful in China. It is the way of the future for america. This post makes me sad if it isn’t sarcasm. USA must adapt to multi cultures?? So when the Germans came, everyone should have spoken German? And when the Italians? And when Chinese came? So how many languages does USA need to speak? I mean one should change to meet the challenges of a multi ethnic nation, right? Or maybe if one is immigrating to another nation and they understand that the national language is English, they have a responsibility to adapt to the nation(and its language) in return for acceptance and a new opportunity in life??? China has their own culture and history and cuisine… Their diets are different in each region and usually takes advantage of their locality and traditions. To say Americans need to eat less steak is rediculous. However, they need to stop eating MacDonald’s, GMO foods, and other FrankenFoods that are complete nightmare for the health. That’s because there are real poisons, not because it is fattening. China’s government isn’t the foundation of American values and I don’t think imposing China on USA will go well just as it wouldn’t be vice versa.

Is there anyone teaching the importance of mothers??? or just their empowerment of womanhood to be great business women? The most important job in the world is being a Mother as it is your legacy in the world and the future of the family. Family values? How well are the taught? Is sex education taught about how to please your sexual partner which is an importance in a future relationship or do they just show a scientific cross section of the genitalia and the children snicker at words like penis and vagina? Do they teach responsibilities of parenthood or just show a baby come out of a woman for shock value? So you want to create a new scouts with boys and girls that participate together, removing an institution that has lasted in time and worked? Okay. If you show me any true progress that was brought about by social engineering, I will gladly read up and learn its results. Last nobel idea of prohibition turned into a disaster. So I’d think real good before you open your mouth about turning the United States Communist Red. There are a lot of good ol’ boys with shotguns who still think the Cold War is going on and would love to dish out McCarthiest Justice. That isn’t a threat, but a reality of the country.
Obama is printing money killing the dollar which means the US is losing its value as everything in US is valued in the dollar. So maybe one day China will buy all the assets and your dreams will come true. Only haters post against you? So everyone who has a differing opinion hates? So is that to mean it is unAmerican? There isn’t one thing you supported that a Tyrannical Government doesn’t dream of. Soviet Union had Pioneers, we went to school wearing Red scarfs. These ideas are old. If you want to find comfort in numbers, play a team sport!!! It is good for the health and group spirit.
Get used to people not agreeing with you. People likely won’t agree with me on all points. However, this is the best way for real freedoms. You are free to believe what you post. Well, truth is an end goal, but unless it is hard documented evidence like JFK was shot and killed, it is just circumstantial. JFK’s assassination is truth, but who did it?That is just opinion and discussion in hopes to find the truth. Who is a man who backs his claim from text of another man’s opinion yet another with an opinion? There are real sciences and knowledge, but how often it ends up here, I don’t know. The truths in news stories are always elusive which is a shame. However, a wise man asks questions, right?

That’s so funny how you phrased it. I only have solutions for my family and my life here. Seriously people need to learn a trade and grow their own food. We have our own farm and have loads of meat, vegetables, and potatoes. This really helps to save money. I think that is empowering and those who are foturnate enough to have plots of land should think about turning some of it over for a garden.
