tsk tsk, now I KNOW Ron Paul is a straw man. nothing but disinfo regarding Canadian Health Care. Disgusting. If this is how you want us to view Prison Planet, I dunno. Up until this article I have been an ardent fan. Was getting ready to sacrifice my pension dollars towards this program Alex. HS1207 ? Where is it going? Is this just more distractions? Wasn’t sure, and don’t want to mix apples with oranges, but how can I take this Ron Paul seriously about anything after watching his blatent lies about Canada’s Health Care?

Hey balderdash it appears by you’re post that you are Canadian although you don’t directly say it. But it is well known in my area of the US that Canadians have come here not because of the quality of the health care in Canada but the wait required for some treatments. I remember a 20/20 show a few years ago that told about some people that came to the US because they would have died before they would have gotten the treatment/surgery they needed. I believe that was what Dr. Paul was talking about.

i would nt trade my american health care for any canadian style plan
if the fools were really serious about lowering costs they would put a limit
on medical lawsuits. but the democrat party is financed and beholden to the trial

Now look at the woman interviewing him on cnn, getting all her cues off a teleprompter, being told what to say every step of the way. The same goes for obama , not his own ideas or beliefs. Bottom line is we are paying twice as much per capita as most other nation’s with so called socialized medicine, We have 50 million people who don’t even have health insurance.
What we need is is to cut out this extortion ring insurance companies out of the equasion. Sorry, Ron Paul is wrong on this one.

The pharmacutical industry controls the FDA and that has alot to do with the high cost/death rate in the US. Something we WON”T get rid of with socialized medicine. We will end up with the WORST of both worlds! Breaking the stranglehold of big pharma and competition in medical services would bring down the cost, just like any other service. Government controlled enterprises always result in higher cost and the only reason Europe has been able to afford socialized medicine is because we subsidise their military.

Nonsense.Administration costs of state health care are about 2%, while corporates keep up to 30% for bureaucracy.Private healthcare companies has only one purpose: minimise costs, maximize profits.Nothing else.
As for Europe.Scandinavia has the best health care because they tax properly the high-incomes, specially the rich, so they can fund a high quality health care for all their citizens.Nothing to do with military, lol!

I think the bigger reason is that when Americans pay 10 times as much for pharmaceuticals as other countries, they subsidize all these other countries that pay less. It’s going to be a rude awakening to the rest of the world when they have to pay their share of the extortion money to the drug companies.
Bottom line, though: Most pharmaceuticals and procedures are unnecessary. Stay healthy, let diet, attitude and exercise be your medicine and go to the hospital when you break a bone or are losing an organ. Keep your gallbladder, give birth at home with a midwife, don’t give yourself diabetes. Starve the junk dealers and enrich the life savers and health educators. Priorities!

finally someone who makes some sense! Would the founding fathers approve of government health care systems?? The answer is no, they clearly spelled out the role of governments with the declaration of independence, and the US constitution. Government’s role is to serve the people and maintain rule of law, not mandate health care for the masses.

The crazy thing about the video is the failure to make a connection with what is being discussed in some circles now. European style-VAT’s (value added taxes) being implemented to cover costs of this one-payor system of health care.
So now taxes will be added to every single piece assembled in addition to the income taxes and sales taxes, etc. Prepare to PAY MORE! Taxes on products during each phase of production (VAT), Carbon Taxing (increase cost of everything that “energy” is used to make and ship), increase sales taxes already in California, and of course the dreaded redistribution system called the graduated-income tax system (straight out of Marxian thought).
Not to say that Communism is not, in its sincere respects, a noble attempt to create an utopian society. But these elites who rule us now do not care for noble attempts of blissful utopia, NO they desire “CONTROL” and the “power” associated with it! This is all!
They are as the “watcher” Lucifer was and is, so full of Pride and covetous vanity! Always wanting more!
What I feel more of us should be doing on these sights is not attacking our differences but determing how much we have in common when it comes down to the basic dignity each individual rightfully is entitled to!
Common Ground is our greatest weapon against tyranny!

This is one of the points in where I am desagree with Ron Paul.
There’s got to be a social health system in the U.S that’s one of the good things that the democracy partie got in his side. Maybe the only one good thing.
But be cool it aint going to work. The congress will stop any idea like this one.
If the U.S. were able to have a health sistem with acces to everybody that would be the moment in wich it turns to be a real country and not a business.

National healthcare is a good thing, so long as it is cost-efficient and cost-transparent.
I would support the NHS if they published all their expenses in a massive audit. But they don’t, so I’m convinced that half the money goes to corruption. It’s a big laugh for Big Pharma. They LOVE corrupt national healthcare.
No need for lobbying anymore. The government is your DIRECT customer!
