Note: Yes, you read that right. The headline is not mine, but from  the original masters of newspaper propaganda, Pravda. See the URL. Gotta love the classic photo they chose. But then, look at some of the other news stories they have. See the end of the article for some other views that have been published here based on factual data. - Anthony

At least 2.5 million people have been killed in natural disasters over the recent 48 years. The number of casualties over the recent 20 years made up 1.6 million people, the UN said.

Rob Vos, the director of the Development Policy and Analysis Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), said that the number of natural disasters taking place in the world nowadays has quadrupled in comparison with the 1970s. The disaster-related economic damage has increased at least seven times.

The authors of the report delivered at the UN headquarters in New York at the session of the UN Economic and Social Council did not specify the reason why natural disasters started happening more frequently in the world today. They said, however, that the frequency of catastrophes could be linked with the global climate change. It was also said that the death toll in developing states exceeds the number of casualties in developed states 20-30 times.

“The consequences of disasters become more and more destructive, whereas the countries are unable to overcome them effectively without the assistance from the international community. We believe it is necessary to set up a foundation to help the victims of natural disasters with the budget of 4 or 5 billion dollars,” Vos said.

The official added that all existent humanitarian projects including those conducted under the UN aegis are mostly aimed at overcoming consequences rather than preventing them.

4 to 5 billion? Is that all? I guess it’s a good start. F****** globalists!

Disband the UN and think of all the money we could save. The whole organization is nothing more than a bunch of international control freaks. And they’re willing to spend as much of your money as necessary to solve all the problems of the world - real or manufactured. What a den of thieves!

I have said it before and I will say it again, capitalisam is the biggest disastor of them all.Poverty,is a creation of market economics.Of course natural disastors hit developing countries the hardest, however do some research and you will find out that this is a fairly recent phenom. Before the so called developing countries were forced into a global market economy, they had for the most part subsistance economies, and lifestyles. In countless areas of the world this changed with conquest and colinization.Cultures formaly dependent on hunting -gathering,subsistance farming, and small local markets, tended to be organized in small villages and towns in such a way that the effects of many natural disastors were absorbed by distance and lack of development .Also ,pre colinization villages tended to be located in generaly safer areas ie areas away from flood planes, high earthquake prone mountains ect. These cultures generaly did not know poverty,as what was needed for survival came directly from nature without the use of money. With colinization, came market economies,or economies in which money was just as nessacary as food,no money,no food. The coloinists forced the new economic system on the subsistance cultures by the use of enclosure laws, and even the outright destruction of forest land and wildlife which those cultures depended upon.As time went on indeginous people were forced to live in ever smaller areas, for the conveinance of the coloinists, who had become their masters and employers by force.Villages turned into cities, and small farms turned into plantations.Often, these cities and plantations expanded,’and new ones developed’into areas vunruable to disastor. The western invaders,in their quest for conveient trade and rapid profit saw no drawback in developing port cities on immediate coastlines,’coastlines vunruable to flooding from hurricanes or sunamies’.River flood plains became host to large cities and plantations for the same purpose. In regions where natural resources were eventualy depleted, even soil,or areas where natives gained independence the invaders then moved on,leaving the native people with little more than a shell of an economy, and huge portions of their populations exposed to a myrad of dangers as well as poverty. With the development of the modern global elite, many of the developing countries have been dealt still more harsh blows, thanks again to global capitalisam. In areas where forests and wildlife either was not destroyed,or partialy recovered, natives are forbidden to hunt and fish for food thanks to the establishment of nature reserves by the elite.Inclosure, again! Thus to survive these hapless people must work for starvation wages, often in deplorable conditions. Many developing countries are forced to remain inpoverished while repaying loans to the western nations, loans which foster still more poverty because of the fact that cash crops such as coffie is grown instead of food crops.I could continue on,but I am not trying to write a book!If you are honest, and know a little world history you know that what I am saying is true, simplified but true.

Global Warming is a hoax presented by ruthless opportunists like Al Gore who seek to make a lot of money from carbon credit brokerage and promoting nuclear energy as an ‘alternative’ energy source. World CO2 levels naturally rise and fall with global temperatures as part of the Ice Age cycle. In fact, world CO2 levels actually follow behind world temperatures, and therefore rising CO2 DOES NOT cause rising temperatures. 325 thousand years ago, CO2 levels were higher than they are today, and polar bears DID NOT go extinct then because of CO2 or temperature; why should they now? This planet has never had to support 6 billion people before, I’m sure that there is something that we are doing to affect the planet. The planet is merely reacting as any living breathing entity. Neither I, Gore or anyone else truly knows why we are having so many storms, the storms are stronger and deadlier.

  5. dan Says:

man-made global warming is a hoax!It just another way to control and tax the people out of their money.Obama already has a bill he wants to pass which would tax Americans 864 billion dollars a year and give it the UN for our carbon footprints. What a crock!!!The earth will never be destroyed, also it seems many people now worship the creation[earth]instead of the Creator!See the documentaries Global Warming or Global Governance and The Great Global Warming Hoax to see and understand what scientist really say about this lie….

    Lori:
Human activity is NOT what is altering the earth’s climate. It is simply a natural cycle. Look at the link that I provided. What is shows is that the earth is on the brink of an approaching Ice Age. 2008 was globally the COLDEST winter on record, and here in the Pacific Northwest, we have just experienced the COLDEST spring on record. I have lived in the PNW for nearly fifty years, and this spring and summer, for the first time ever, our prevailing winds have shifted from the Southwest to the Northwest. I believe that this signals the beginning of the next Ice Age.

We hear it again and again that “we have an ever expanding population and it results in these storms that continue to evolve into stronger and deadlier events.”

While the former is true, we do not know that the latter is true, and what, if any, relationship the former has to the latter.

For a microcosmic example, while more people may be dying from tornadoes and floods in the Great Plains–as has been exemplified again this spring and summer–these events would not have caused such scenes of destruction to man-made structures and such a loss of human life during the period when the land was inhabited by the Plains Indians. The same can be said for New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina, as a similar event prior to the early eighteen century founding of the city would have had very different ramifications.

Additionally, we simply do not know to what degree storm strength differed prior to the invention of the anemometer (wind gauge) in 1846, and more accurately until its refinement in the 1920s. We have such a small sampling of data pertaining to these events, and when coupled with the inevitable population increase and settlement expansion, that is is only natural for these weather events to appear worse today when in reality all we have is data for a small portion of the timeline of history.

i dont know about you, but where i live in NY, about 45 miles from NYC, the past 3 winters it has been 75 degrees in january. now i dont how or why, but to say global warming doesn’t exsist is a rediculous statement.

  9. Sheriff Says:

Well guys if you don’t know about the H.A.A.R.P. Weapon yet, then it’s time to inform yourselfes, it’s really shocking!!! Google it, look it up on youtube!!! This damn thing is the reason the good old bastards are in charge of changing the weather, the atmosphere, a.s.o….

Keep on informing yourself and others!!!
We’re going to destroy the NWO, at all cost.

  10. KIdding Says:

You’re right Kevin, global warming MUST be happening. Why, in my town I’ve noticed the temperature rise SO MUCH in the middle of the year. Wait, that’s called summer. Watch the Enron documentary, it’s a good parallel … lack of supply is a joke.

  11. lavallee Says:

Listen to Sheriff people, check out HAARP!
Globel warming isn’t half of it.
