The rifle was the worst possible gun to use for the job and no sane gunman would have contemplated using it when the were so many far better guns available. I would have used the standard-issue WWII BAR automatic over open sights, it was a short-range shot and several rounds rapid would be a far more reliable way of ensuring a kill-shot.

The infamous Brit SAS fire several hundred rounds a week to keep their eye in, and several THOUSAND when they know a job might be on the go. It takes that to shoot straight. Oswald, even for a marine, was a mediocre shot. There is no evidence he did any target practice before the job.

Who decided to take the dangerous route past the book depository, why, and why haven’t they had to answer for it? It seems that nobody has been held to account for not following the planned route, the security was obviously not planned to cover the new situation.

For, if JFK’s entourage had driven past on the original route, the main road to the underpass, there was no possibility for even a marksman with a good rifle to guarantee a hit, let alone a kill, and surely not even Oswald could have been so stupid as to think he could hit THE CAR let alone JFK, with his el-cheapo Italian popgun. So the man behind the gun(s) KNEW the procession would turn in and drive past the book depository… and the kill-box.

A planned assassination by a group of men is the only conclusion.

The only problem left is to deduce WHO, and WHY.

WHO would gain from JFK’s death.

WHAT would they gain from this.

WHAT was worth the risk.

HOW could they be sure they would get away with it.

For they HAD to be fairly sure of this, no semi-sane person would attempt such a risky undertaking otherwise.

There is no better way to guarantee getting away with such a public assassination than knowing the very authority charged with the security and subsequent investigation is on your side and throwing smoke-grenades in all directions to cover your – and their – little asses.

For the 40th anniversary of the assassination the History Channel came out with the ‘Final Chapter’ episodes of their epic dvd series ‘The Men Who Killed Kennedy’. Those episodes name names about who the conspirators were and one of them was Johnson.

To take the chance that someone would get good footage of an SS officer shooting Kennedy at point blank range, or that one of the occupants of the vehicle would reveal that, or that one of the many medical professionals who saw the body might notice the wound was from a low velocity pistol bullet… It just wouldn’t happen when there is a far easier, far less likely to be exposed, and far more likely to succeed method – just slow the car down and let a sniper with a high powered rifle blow his brains out.
