FDA Stuns Scientists, Declares Mercury in Fish to be Safe for Infants, Children, Expectant Mothers!

In a truly astonishing betrayal of public safety (even for the FDA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration today revoked its warning about mercury in fish, saying that eating mercury-contaminated fish no longer poses any health threat to children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants.
Last week, the FDA declared trace levels of melamine to be safe in infant formula. A few weeks earlier, it said the plastics chemical Bisphenol-A was safe for infants to drink. Now it says children can eat mercury, too. Is there any toxic substance in the food that the FDA thinks might be dangerous? (Aspartame, MSG, sodium nitrite and now mercury…)
This FDA decision on mercury in fish has alarmed EPA scientists who called it “scientifically flawed and inadequate,” reports the Washington Post. Even better, the Environmental Working Group (www.EWG.org) issued a letter to the EPA, saying “It’s a commentary on how low FDA has sunk as an agency. It was once a fierce protector of America’s health, and now it’s nothing more than a patsy for polluters.”

Is anyone really surprised? The FDA is a drug-pushing, people-betraying, scientifically illiterate criminal organization that, time and time again, seeks only to protect the profits of powerful corporations whose products poison the people. This statement is no longer a mere opinion. It is an observable fact based on the FDA’s own pattern of behavior and its outlandish decisions that predictably betray the American public.
The real reason this is happening
You want to know the REAL reason the FDA is easing up on its warning about mercury in fish? It’s because the agency is being relentlessly pounded over two related issues: Mercury in dental fillings and mercury preservatives in vaccines. And the FDA can’t keep up its lie about the “safety” of vaccines and mercury fillings if it has already declared mercury to be dangerous in fish, right?
To the criminal minds running the FDA, the clever solution is to revoke the warning about mercury in fish. Thus, the FDA takes the position that all mercury is safe, and suddenly they’re off the hook on mercury fillings and thimerosal in vaccines.
In other words, the FDA has just aligned itself as a defender of one of the most neurotoxic substances that’s ever been found. Only a truly corrupt regulator could even attempt to defend such a position, and only a truly insane individual could argue that mercury exposure is safe for infants, children and expectant mothers. Not coincidentally, mercury exposure causes insanity (look up the historical term “mad as a hatter”).
Given that most of the FDA decision makers probably have mercury fillings in their mouths and mercury molecules lodged in their brains from getting their vaccine shots, it’s no stretch to consider the possibility that the FDA decision have, in a very strict medical sense, lost their minds due to mercury exposure. There’s hardly any other way to explain the mad behavior of FDA officials.
I think it’s time we called for an FDA MUTINY and declared the leaders of that agency to be too incompetent to run it anymore. These people need to be relieved of command before their hazardous pronouncements lead to yet more consumers being poisoned or killed. The FDA scientists, in my opinion, should revolt (in a non-violent way, of course) against the politically-motivated decision makers spewing all this “eat more poison” advice.

Reason, logic and rationale have fallen by the wayside. Bankers who could shown us the money trail of 9-11 are getting trillions. What is the big market today? Making people sick and treatment which makes them sicker – the healthcare industry = job security. Young creative minds that should be imagining and inventing are squelched to numbed, unfocused autistic minds.

Incidentally, I came upon this article a while ago. I wouldn’t hold my breath, however,
for the FDA to revise their guidelines to reflect such research. What’s next, a report on
CNN that thimerosal should be given to prepubescent males along with methylphenidate?

Striking New Study — Thimerosal Threatens Males More

Here is a case in point, brought to our attention by Dr. Mark Geier and David Geier. Three Canadian researchers were experimenting with Thimerosal on mice for reasons having nothing to do with the vaccine mercury-autism debate. But they stumbled across the fact that Thimerosal was three times more toxic to male rats than female rats — “the first report of gender-selective toxicity of thimerosal.” Given the way it mirrors the gender differences in autism, this is a huge deal, even if preliminary. In this new study, “Gender-Selective Toxicity of Thimerosal” published in the peer-reviewed journal of Experimental and Toxicologic Pathology by Dr. Donald R. Branch of the Departments of Medicine and Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, University of Toronto, the investigator examined the sex-specific toxicity of Thimerosal in a mice model system.
This investigator described, “Thimerosal is an organic compound that contains mercury and has been used historically as a preservative in vaccines and pharmaceutical products. The breakdown product, ethylmercury, in thimerosal-preserved childhood vaccines has been suggested to be neurotoxic and to contribute to the etiology of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism; however, this supposition is highly controversial.”
The researchers were “doing an unrelated study that was testing only for the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) levels for thimerosal in a mouse model to be subsequently used in a study of reversal of immune-mediated platelet destruction (Rampersad et al., 2005). However, during our MTD studies, we serendipitously discovered that thimerosal shows a differential toxicity that depends upon whether the test animals are male or female.”
This investigator then went on to describe, “An important consideration when trying to evaluate the possible role of thimerosal toxicity is that autism occurs approximately four times more frequently in males compared to females (MMWR, 2007). Thus, if males have an increased sensitivity to thimerosal, this would have to be taken into account with analyses of any outcomes. Our results that demonstrate a significant difference in the MTD of thimerosal depending upon whether the test animal is male or female is, thus, an important finding. Indeed, in mice, we found when using 10% DMSO to completely dissolve the thimerosal prior to injection that the MTD of thimerosal in males was only 25.6 mg/kg; whereas, in females, the MTD was 76.8 mg/kg. Thus, thimerosal has a 3-fold increased toxicity in males compared to females.”
Further, he postulated, “Although the in vivo levels of thimerosal used in our studies are far higher than what would be expected in humans, this may not preclude the impact of our findings as we were using mortality as our outcome. Although our study is not extensive as the group sizes are small, nevertheless, we clearly found that male mice were more susceptible to the toxic effects of thimerosal than were female mice.”
In addition, he stated, “recently, it has been argued that prenatal and neonatal testosterone exposures may be risk factors for autism (Knickmeyer and Baron-Cohen, 2006). Furthermore, it has been reported that estrogens are protective against neurotoxic effects (Wang et al., 2006) and may protect against certain neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease (Benedetti et al., 2001; Dean and McCarthy, 2007). Thus, our findings that thimerosal has increased toxicity in males compared to female mice suggest that estrogens produced in female mice may have some protective effect on the toxicity of thimerosal, while testosterone may have no effect or, perhaps, accelerate these toxic effects.”
In conclusion, the investigator stated, “In summary, this is the first report of gender-selective toxicity of thimerosal. As autism occurs much more frequently in males than in females (MMWR, 2007), our findings may relate to a potential selectivity of thimerosal for toxic effects in some male children…”

Mercury in fish, mercury in fish…how come the fact that selenium in fish mitigates the effect fo mercury is hardly presented in the popular media?
Canned tuna has been widely mentioned as a source of toxic mercury. It’s true that tuna has mercury in it. But, it has even greater amounts of selenium. In cases or mercury intoxication, selenium is used to actually remove the mercury from the victims body.
As far as vaccinations go…what’s worse, the disease or the cure? Millions of living and healthy people in the world today provide the answer that question.

No this is correct, mercury is good for you,so is lead[in small doses]fluoride ,makes ya bones a little brittle but they tell me it’s great for your teeth, Bisphenol-A is alright too,mix a little msg and GMO crops in there with a touch of round up of course[gotta keep Monsanto in business] and top that off with a dose of bird flu vaccine[freely given of course,forced onto you if you want to keep going to work]and Walla there you have it …..tonights dinner.

FDA go away. The FDA has messed up 2 things that I have been involved in. They banned a colloidal silver supplement that I was selling. It was so good even tiger woods was taking it. They also held up a shipment of natural L-Dopa (Ground Velvet Beans) I ordered for my mother who has parkinsons disease and doesnt want to take the synthetic L-Dopa pills which also contain Yellow #5.
The FDA does nothing to protect or help the citizens it only helps the highest bidder.

How about insisting that every person in the FDA who stands behind this bogus science sit down at the dinner table each night and eat a unhealthy portion of mercury laced fish products from now until the cows come home, or at least until the mercury displays the outside temperature on their foreheads.

How about creating another regulation for the concerned customers? I mean, one standard is too loose, then we can use another one like JIS for Japanese Industrial Standard and CEN for European one.
It sounds better to be said as safe than being secretly added for everyday meals for human experiments by the covert researchers.

The FDA has been accepting bribes from the beginning. That’s why the father of the American Pure Food Laws, Dr. Harvey Washington Wiley resigned from his post after working 20 years to create it. Library of Congress used to card catalog one of his books with this description
” …fraud and deception against the American people and the Pure Food Laws…”
That book has been reprinted in the late 70’s or 80’s.

Because the scientists and physicans who work for the FDA were unable to get Congress’ attention with the fact that their overseers (FDA bosses) were deliberately working at harming the People of the United States, it is time to redirect. Damn! I’ve written abt this before abt FDA having a hand in running of corporate-run animal farms. But after reading your article, I strongly feel they are beyond hope of any salvation.
