Fear of stricter gun-control laws causing sales to rise

BILOXI — The Saturday after Barack Obama was elected president, people jammed Cook’s Gun Shop in Biloxi, eager to purchase the guns they believe might be off limits beginning next year.
Manager Michael Creel said sales began to increase last year, but they really ramped up after the election. “It started about a year ago when the election started to heat up,” he said. “People were afraid that if the Democrats won, they would institute more control on guns. It kept building, and the Saturday after the election it was pandemonium in here.”
Gun shop owners and managers throughout south Mississippi are reporting similar trends, which also are reflected across the country.

The FBI reported earlier this month that in November it completed more than 1.5 million background checks, a 41.6 percent increase over November 2007. When Bill Clinton was president, he signed a 10-year ban on assault weapons in 1994, but when it expired, President Bush did not reactivate it. Many gun owners are afraid that ban will be put into effect again once Obama takes office next month.
Kevin Riley, owner of Dad’s Super Pawn in Gulfport, said gun sales began picking up about a month before the election. He said ammunition sales also have increased. “We’re selling ammunition by the case where we used to sell it by the box.”

There is always the subtle spin from the MSM. Notice how they say that Clinton instituted a ban, then Bush didn’t renew it, and now Obama will issue more bans. That isn’t how our system of government works. The legislature makes the laws, the executive just enforces them. This is a constant and ever present effort to prepare the people to be ruled by a dictator, trying to give people the idea that the president makes the laws.

Ammo could be long time stored the same as food in
vapor sealed buckets and moisture absorbing desiccant.

Every gun registration is an infringement. It is also a target for retrieval at the proper time. Ammo is arms. Any control on ammo is an infringement. But who cares? ask around in your area and I think you will be shocked and terrified at how many sheep you live with. Our own history that makes us Americans is lost in the majority of “educated” people in this country who are rapidly becoming a minority. Their plans are moving along quite well. The they I refer to is the very very very small group of families who rule this planet. For them money is no object. they use money and wealth of other kinds to entice obedience and have no problem with killing people of any quantity or quality to keep their plans on target.

The fact that sales of hardware and ammunition are up is excellent. Many I’m sure are buying in anticipation of the coming bans, and increased ammunition cost through taxation. That is a prudent economic choice. Some are buying to be prepared for the event that all the rhetoric in the press would indicate is coming. That is prudent personal choice. Regardless of what many in government positions today want, the US constitution allows for us to make those prudent choices. Given what is going on today, the more metal that is in the hands of the populous – the better.

~I recently went to my local firearm store just to see if the hype was as much as stated by many..All the rifles and shotguns were already gone. That kinda maid me start worrying, TV acts like nothings going on but that’s not what the signs of society are showing.

Well, at least that shows quite a lot of American people have their guns ready. Let’s hope they will only be used for good purposes the day hell breaks loose over there. I have a lot of friends in the USA, and I truly wish them to come to no harm.
Be prepared indeed, but be careful, and responsible. Only use your weapons when you really need to and preferrably try not to attack people that only ‘do their job’. You’ll need the police and army by your side, most likely.
I hope for the best for you all.
Until then, early happy new years, hopefully 2009 will be better than we fear!

I actually stocked up on ammo right before Obamanation (won’t prove he’s a citizen of U.S.) got elected. Gunbroker.com is the best place to buy guns and ammo IF you don’t live near a decent dealer. Ammo can be shipped right to you and guns need to be sent to a FFL holder near you. Not all FFL holders want to work with gunbroker.com but you can type in your zip code and get a list of those who will.
I would also recomend buying some gold and silver in small denominations (1/10, 1/4, 1/2 ounce gold and 1 and 10 ounce silver coins and bars) so you can trade it for things you may need like food, services, fuel, etc. when the FRNs (federal reserve notes) become good only for lighting cigs and wiping butts. Also stock up on food, water filtration devices (efoodsdirect.com) cigs and booze (to consume or trade) and grow a garden. Also get to know your neighbors and especially local food producers like farmers who sell chickens, eggs, beef, pork, etc. Buy local NOW so if bad things happen you already have a relationship with producers. The food is better too, even if a bit more expensive.
I think it is AWESOME that people are buying guns now because it will make it harder for the NWO assholes to take over. I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. I won’t go to a camp without one heck of a fight.

A PERSON CAN SURVIVE QUITE A WHILE WITHOUT FOOD, WITHOUT WATER YOU WILL BE DEAD WITHIN A WEEK.

Helooo goofballs! Your gun purchase and background info is now all compiled in the governments database. They know where you live, your ammo purchase’s and all the registered firearms you have bought legally. So when they come with force to TAKE all your weapons and demand physical proof one holiday early, when it’s known you will be home sleeping where are the firearms are that you bought 30 years ago, you better have specific locations verifyable while you waite in custody. If they are not all cofiscated you will be taking a ride on the patriot act express to the nearest camp to be assisted with your memory recall, probably with abu grabe style help.

For the first couple of years under martial law we may experience some unexpected things, such as….
less police since many will quit due to not getting paid, tired of beating up innocent people etc…so the weapons will be for protection. Do you have any idea how much money and support would be required to do house to house searches for weapons.
Most people will be moving out of the cities, mass confusion and panic, believe me the cops and military will have their hands full just fighting for their own limited security.
the price of an average rifle or hand gun will probably be worth as much as a single family home or a sack of rice (which will be harder to find)
Stock up on seeds, honey (never expires) ammo will be more valuable than the weapons themselves.
Get out of the city now and find a good community to live in
even though things will be difficult we will be happier and better off
Fema camps will be on a voluntary basis only, it will take alot of work, effort, luck, goodwill, help to survive off the grid, for those who make the sift it will work but most people won’t be able to change as quickly as needed and will voluntarily surrender to FEMA
Most Americans are old and out of shape and in horrible health, only the healthy (both mentally and physically) will even make the effort
Good luck, positive forces are at work, get yourself in shape and learn to meditate, the key has and always is within, understand this and you are wealthy

My recommendation to those in the US that are currently buying guns is:
Conveniently ‘lose’ the weapons and find a nice safe remote area to bury them for the gun ban – but don’t make it so remote that you can’t get access to it in a hurry!

It’s logistically impossible for the police to do house to house searches nationwide or even city wide. They don’t have the manpower or resources. Plus you never know who might shoot back and cops are basically cowards anyway it will take a team of no less than 4 cops to accost each homeowner, all festooned with body armor and 2-3 more hiding behind the car.
In my town if they increased the number of cops by 10 times it would take 3 years to cover all homes in a house to house search.
Just buy your guns and ammo. A little advice, emphasize military calibers, 9mm, 5.56 Nato, 7.62×39 (AK-47)
When the balloon goes up they will try to restrict commercial ammo supplies. But we know who will always be able to get ammo, we can take it from them.
Recommended minimums
9mm – 1000 rounds to use and another 1000 to trade
5.56mm – 500 minimum and extra to trade
7.62×39 same as 5.56
if you have a .38 .44, .45 or .357 or 30.06, this ammo will be hard to get later so stock as much as you practically can.
Military surplus .50 can ammo cans have gaskets and close air and water tight. Throw in a silicone desiccant pack to dry out what’s in there when you close it and it should last forever
I personally think it is unnecessary to hide your guns, but if you do the PVC pipe thing, go to Sams, BJ’s or Costco and get a part balloon pack. It comes with a can of dry helium. Helium is effectively inert. Blow the helium into the pipe before you seal it. This will displace the O2 if you hold it up and blow in the gas from the bottom. This should keep your guns fresh pretty much forever. If you have a source for a can of dry nitrogen this works as well but the helium party packs are easy to get and cheap.

When you have the prospect of having a Narcissist becoming the president of the once free world, you have to make a decision to protect yourself from the self serving nature of the Narcissist or risk becoming a statistic like what happened with the Narcissist dictator Adolph Hitler before and during WWII.
It seems that a large majority of Americans have made the proper decision to arm themselves from this potential dictatorial Narcissist that only means to protect his own selfish interests and will only glorify himself as the only possible cure to the already staggering issues that face this nation in 2009.

Look around yourself, tasering citizens to death, street crime, guilty till proven innocent, shredding of the Constitution, the Patriot Act, distrust of the Government(State and Federal) economic fraud in and outside of US, false flagging, illegal foreign invasions, conspiring, aiding and abetting criminal countries(Israel, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, UK, Columbia, Mexico), immigration policy, the narrowing gap between religion and state, the selling of our infrastructure to foreign interests, NAFTA, all crooked politicians, anti-gun movement, anti-drinking movement, anti-smoking movement, etc. Like the old song lyrics, Sign, sign, everywhere a sign, do this don’t do that, can’t you read the sign? Gun sales have been steady climbing for a while, and the anti-gun movement is trying to spread their dissease with the medias help. The loss of rights and freedom in this country have brought this country to a boiling point!

The way that I see it is that we have irresponsible taxation with inept representation . These people that end up getting elected to represent us have no idea what we truly care about . What I see happening is that all of us who are responsible AMERICANS and try to do the right thing . To uphold the law and the Constitution . We are about to get the shaft . They will try to enforce heavy personal property taxes on all fire arms and when that doesn’t work they will make it illegal to own them to make it a safe society . I am all for a completely armed society, for an armed society is a polite society.
All Americans should be armed as long as they know how to utilize the arms they have, I don’t want to get shot by someone that has a firearm but has no clue what to do with it. If you are going to get armed, get schooled at the same time!
If this country is going to go the way of so many other nations throughout history and wants to implode in on itself, every person should have the right to self protection from the very cause of the implosion………YOUR GOVERNMENT!
there are reports from around the country where they are trying to instigate racial conflict to create a state of fear, anger and tension between the people that they are possibly wanting to use to justify a state of Martial Law. Please don’t fall for this deceptive tyranny, think beyond the superficial race card and think about the underlying causes of what is happening and why.
We are living in the most unique times in history and the amount of disinformation that is available is absolutely staggering to the human mind. THINK! All of the things that you read about on the net and see on TV are utterly insane to any person with any semblance of the thing that used to be called “Common Sense”. This information is meant to confuse the masses and I would say it’s working rather brilliantly. The people of America don’t know which way to turn, some of you want to go on a rampage, some of you are resorting to religion and the Bible, some are just wanting all this chaos to stop, some don’t really care one way or the other and some are totally enraged. WHAT DO WE DO?
I think the most logical approach is to just wait until whatever happens actually happens and at that time you will know exactly where you stand in the whole scheme of things. At that point it becomes a scenario of chaos and at some point you will encounter others of the same mindset who will want to replace the “Order out of Chaos” crowd with the ” Order out of reality” crowd and you can all work together at that point to restore a system of Government that is un-corruptable and establish a system that requires only a people that do not take bribes and money as payment for the establishment of laws in this country and if they do, they will pay the ultimate price for their crime against the people, kind of like the original thirteenth amendment to the Constitution of America.
Just relax and start to work towards a common goal of reality and never tolerate corruption in this country once we re-establish “common sense” in America.
