Here’s how Chloe Angyal, an editor at Feministing.com [2], is responding on Twitter to the lifting of the ban [3] on women in combat:
I want to celebrate the lifting of combat exclusions as a victory for equality. Until the stats on military sexual violence change, I can’t.

Now I’d like to see sexual violence in the military diminish, too, but set that issue aside for now and read that tweet again. Angyal actually wants to celebrate the opening of combat positions to women.
Thus her view is this: hooray for equality! Now we can all slaughter foreigners together, as equals! Ah, sweet equality. Now I, too, may be suckered by lies and propaganda into joining the front lines against impoverished people who are no threat to me. Long live equality!
