Fewer than a third in US would get swine flu jab

WASHINGTON, May 13 (Reuters) – Fewer than a third of U.S. adults would get a shot especially made to protect against the new H1N1 swine flu virus, according to a poll released on Thursday.

Most are simply not that worried about the new flu, which has spread around the globe, killed more than 60 people and brought the world to the brink of a pandemic, the poll of 1,442 adults found.

Only 36 percent said they got a vaccine against seasonal influenza this year, although virtually the whole population, especially everyone over 50, children, pregnant women and people with chronic conditions, are advised to get the immunization every year.

The World Health Organization estimates that seasonal flu is a factor in up to 500,000 deaths every year — 36,000 in the United States alone.

The poll by Zogby International and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston found that 38 percent not only were not vaccinated, but did not follow recommendations to wash or clean their hands frequently to prevent infection and were not restricting travel to Mexico.

Only 18 percent said the flu, which emerged in March, is a severe threat.

   Those 1,442 adults will be the first to die, just like back in the ’70s when the last time this happened, the ones that got the vaccine were the sickest ones.

   Reporter Fox makes it sound as if the entire third of the country is up in arms about this flu shot, but the poll was only 1442 people; they are counting on the sheeple out there to freak out and get this vaccine which is full of God know’s what poisons. Fox isn’t qualified to cover cat fights if this is the best she can do.

   We still on a level 5? I’m not hearing much from mainstream media about the flu now nor the story on the coffins in the desert for a major epidemic. If this was a weaponized virus was it to attack all latin Americans be it Mexicans, Cubans, Peurto Ricans, Spanish, Portugese etc. or was this for everyone? Why my analogy for the latin Americans? Cortez bloodlines seem to be the only ones actually dying from this.
   I’m in Ma. My whole neighborhood, mostly Peurto Ricans and Mexicans would be gone. You think that the Section 8s and Poor Mexicans would be wiped out befor setting up the North American Union so the government wont have to pay Wellfare and Social Security Disability for all those poor people we’d have to take care of? If you think 30% of your taxes going to health care is tough now, wait til 10 million less people, those out of work aren’t paying taxes or health care and we have all the poor from Mexico to try to offer a good living to. I don’t have anything against the people of Mexico or any other Southern Nation but I can barely afford to pay attention now. I know there are good people in all races but I’m making 30k a year and 1200.00 plus goes to manditory health insurance now. Not to mention what goes to medicare, state and federal taxes plus taxes on property and everything I buy. ….. cya at the work camps.

   This whole pandemic stuff is BS. They should publish the figures for deaths caused by ordinary flu or the road toll or suicides etc etc blah blah. If people keep healthy they don’t need vaccines, health care or any other cons.
   The vaccines are more likely to cause bigger problems as they don’t allow the immune system to strengthen naturally thus making people more susceptible to mutations or new viral infections. Anyone taking the shot is daft. Eating MacMakkers or Kant Fukkin Cook junk Macshit is more likely to kill you or ,at least lead to serious health issues.
