WTC 7 vs. the Mandarin Hotel and Madrid scyscraper is like an apple vs. 2 oranges. Neither the Chinese nor Spanish buildings had tons of debris fall on their heads like WTC 7 did from its taller twin tower cousins across the street. It’s the debris that killed it, not the fires and it took most of the day to collapse, not 7 seconds.

ENR states:

“… on the damage to the primarily concrete-framed building as a result of a dramatic Feb. 9 blaze that engulfed all 31 stories and killed one firefighter …” and “… Though mostly concrete, TVCC has steel “stability” trusses that link tower halves and a steel space frame at the top.”

WTC 7 was a completely steel framed building not concrete framed. Unless you speak with the designers from Arup, please do not pretend you can definitively prove science incorrect. Thermal expansion and shearing off of headed studs is a phenomenon with the floor beams in steel framed buildings. Nothing I have read so far indicates there are steel beams with antique fire proofing methods, as this building is brand new. Please re-read NIST’s report and not misinterpret their findings. Lastly, every building is different. WTC 7 had New York construction practices (i.e., transfer systems, walking columns, etc.) and the Chinese may not allow the same engineering practices.

You missed the point, Chris. One cannot have an intelligent conversation with you 9/11 Deniers any more than one can have an intelligent conversation with Creationists, flat-earth believers, moon-landing deniers, or Holocaust Deniers.

You chose out of your own free to be a denier, never questioning the sources or irrationality of what you want to believe. You chose to marginalize yourself.
