Five US Soldiers Killed By Huge Truck Bomb

A suicide truck bomber has attacked an Iraqi base in the northern city of Mosul, killing five US soldiers and two Iraqi policemen.
US and Iraqi forces opened heavy fire on the truck after it ignored a request to stop at a checkpoint on the approach to the base.
“The truck exploded 50 metres before reaching its target,” Iraqi Interior Ministry spokesman Major General Abdul Karim Khalaf said.

“There was more than 1,000kg of explosives in the truck, which levelled three buildings.”
The attack was the deadliest against US soldiers in Iraq for months.
Two US soldiers and 20 members of the Iraqi security forces were wounded in the blast, the US military said.

Kind of odd, just when O’Bama says the troop pullout in Iraq is “on track”, and we are now seeing coffins draped with the flag being paraded off cargo planes that violence in Iraq increases. Funny how when progress is made to end this rediculous adventure called Iraq, that bombs go off. There is one explanation. The corporations like Halliburton won’t be making much money if we pack up and come home. Their profit comes from perpetual war. All these war profiteers have to do is sacrifice some Arab and a truck full of explosives and presto, we are in Iraq for another 3 years. This behavior could go on indefinetely.

Please. Every time I hear of bombing of our troops it sickens me. I want someone to tell me where, in a country locked down/sanctioned since 1991, where the explosives and expertice come from. Cracker Jack boxes? It smells rotten. God bless our troops who don’t know they work for Banksters.

how “good” could they have been to take up arms against a phantom enemy and lying government. i feel for their families, but free will and thought should enter the mind.

The US had been giving Sunni militia men monthly checks to stand down. Word is the checks haven’t been coming for a few months now. Things may be about to start heating up again in Iraq.

Yes. You fucking armchair warmongers who love your troops and country so much, that should have been you over there having your arms and legs blown off, if it weren’t for you people then this war would have been over a long time ago, infact it probably never would have started.
