Former White House Lawyer Tells Senate that “Indefinite Detention” Without Trial Is Occurring In Afghanistan and Iraq, As Well As Guantanamo

Richard Klingler, a lawyer in the Office of White House Counsel under former president George W. Bush, told senators today:

The “debate on indefinite detention often wrongly focuses on Guantanamo Bay,” arguing the practice is “considerably more widespread.”

It is a practice Obama “will continue to pursue,” in Afghanistan, Iraq, and at Guantanamo, and he noted they have already followed in the Bush administration’s footsteps by defending it repeatedly in court, added Klingler.

The “wartime framework underlying [these tactics] have settled well within the mainstream of the American tradition,” he said.

Given that Richard Clarke and another top terrorism expert say that indefinite detention without trial will dramatically increase terrorism, and given that there is no conceivable security rationale for holding prisoners indefinitely without trial, it is disturbing that this has become “mainstream”.

God help us.

   The US government, the head of the snake, reserves the right to apprehend and detain indefinately anyone in the entire world who stands in opposition to their international corporatist NWO agenda. The worlds elite, the international bankers and owners of huge corporations whose every interest is agressively protected by their government stooges have taken over all previous forms of legitimate governance. They have purchased and used the media replacing what is real with total fantasy. I would bet that the murder conspiritor, and Cheney bitch George W Bush handed over the remaining 300 billion in bailout money which was left over from the Bush era economical swindle to the American Nazi revivalist Barry Hussein Obama for his instrumental help in forewarding the NWO agenda.

   There is a buffet of issues that few in this country can honestly face and on the carving table of that buffet is all those happy little issues surrounding Iraq. With most people you simply cannot talk at all about any of it. Has it always been like this? I bet it has. I mean imagine how alienating it must have been to be a JFK researcher before the internet.
