A previously defeated bill that would reduce emissions of that evil, life-giving gas that humans exhale and plants absorb, carbon dioxide, is set to return in January under an Obama administration hell-bent on passing legislation that would inflict the equivalent of a new great depression on America while creating a new infrastructure of “green brigades” and informants to regulate every aspect of our behavior.
“The US Senate will take up two sweeping global warming bills in January, in the latest sign that Barack Obama’s election could quickly reverse years of US footdragging on climate change,” reports AFP.
“The….legislation will direct the US Environmental Protection Agency to set up a cap-and-trade system to stem greenhouse gas emissions.”
Obama reiterated his endorsement for the bill on Tuesday during a speech in which he again called for an 80 per cent reduction in carbon emissions by 2050.

The only way this can be achieved of course is with a giant stealth tax not only on businesses, but on individuals, backed by the giant strong arm of tyrannical enforcement by hoards of “climate cops” sticking their noses into our private lives, as is already embryonically being metered out in Britain.
“The time to start is now,” said Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer, vowing to step up to Obama’s challenge to combat climate change and create millions of “green jobs” in the reeling US economy.”
How many of these “green jobs” will be staffed by “green brigades” tasked with regulating and surveilling every aspect of your behavior to ensure your compliance with the state-mandated religion of phony environmentalism, while the state itself does everything to accelerate or ignore the real environmental problems like GM crop contamination, deforestation, genetic splicing, chemtrail spraying, cancer-causing cellphone pollution, as well as the plethora of crap being put in our water, food and vaccines like sodium fluoride, MSG, aspartame, mercury, pesticides, and rat poison?
All of these real problems are pushed aside by the all-mighty threat of “climate change,” despite the fact that the climate has always changed throughout eons of history, with no contribution by man.
How many of Obama’s promised “national civilian security force,” a cadre we are guaranteed will be as strong or stronger than the U.S. Army, will be assigned to spy on their neighbors for enviro-crimes and report them to the local green commissariat?
The cost to the U.S. economy if the bill is passed, as revealed by an Environmental Protection Agency investigation, would be $2.9 trillion, 6.9 percent shaved off the country’s GDP, a figure comparable to the Great Depression, along with millions of jobs lost.
And all for what? A reduction of carbon emissions by 80 per cent will result in a maximum temperature decrease of about 0.10 to 0.20 degrees Celsius, underscoring the fact that natural climate change has throughout history eclipsed any effect man can have on temperature variations.
And why the hell should we want to lower temperatures anyway? Here in Britain we had our first October snow since the 1930’s as the country again braces itself for Arctic temperatures this weekend while top scientists warn of a new ice age within 10 years.
Arctic sea ice has expanded 30 per cent, an area the size of Germany, since last summer, Alaskan glaciers have grown for the first time in 250 years, while record low temperatures have hit parts of America across the country.
Meanwhile, climate scientists allied with the IPCC were caught citing fake data to make the case that global warming is accelerating. NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), run by Al Gore’s chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, announced that last month was the hottest October on record. They later had to admit their “error” after it was revealed that they had used temperature records from September, a naturally hotter month, and merely passed them off as representing October temperatures.
Global warming fearmongers like the World Wildlife Fund are having to resort to deception as a clear trend of global cooling unfolds. In a recent report, the WWF cited shrinking Arctic ice coverage to suggest climate change is “faster and more extreme” than first thought, while failing to acknowledge that Arctic sea ice expanded over an area bigger than the size of Germany during the year of 2008.
Without question, developing alternative energy methods and encouraging the use of solar and wind power for means of self-sufficiency and reducing dependency on oil and fossil fuels is a fantastic notion and should be widely supported. But this isn’t about helping the environment, it’s about exploiting people’s legitimate concern for the planet by diverting their attention and getting them to enthusiasticallty partake in their own enslavement while mandating their fellow citizens do the same.
Welcome to another dose of the “change you can believe in,” trillions more of taxpayer’s money thrown at a scam that has nothing to do with saving the environment and everything to do with raping the middle class and the poor while erecting a gargantuan police state system of informants and enforcement to carry out the elite’s new feudalist agenda.

Thank you for creating this site Mr. Jones. It has been enlightening seeing the other side of the news. The news that no one wants to hear. No one wants to face the truth. I voted for Obama, and I should have researched Ron Paul more. I wasted my vote on what looks like another President that will not do right by us. I had a little shred of hope that he would do right by us. The people he is surrounding himself with, I would not have questioned if I did not find this site. Now that I know the truth about these people (sigh) it is really disappointing.

I see your point. Don’t get me wrong,I am totally for being green. I try to do what I can afford as some things are too expensive. Before I voted I was not completely confident of EITHER candidate. I know being the president is a difficult job, and I am anxious to see how he will try to deliver on most of his promises. I think this site and others like it out there present a thourough presentation of the other side of the news that rarely is shown on all of the major networks. A lot of these stories you just will not see on there.

We need to move away from fossil fuels for many reasons and this is just one reason. Every proposed regulation is not a conspiracy.

They key phrase is Global Climate Change, not Global Warming. Global Climate Change is more accurate as climate systems are changing at rate that threatens ecosystems collapse, and the climate may experience dramatic shifts in warming and cooling.
It is imperative that we all look further into subjects of concern than poorly reasoned articles full of speculation.

There is still a small chance that Senator Obama will make a good president. Kennedy, Garfield, and Aurther came from corrupt backgrounds and stepped to the forefront as reformers. (Of course, Garfeild and Kennedy were assasinated, and Aurther was denied a nomination to run for a second term, despite his popularity.) However, with each corrupt appointment Senator Obama makes, I lose more hope that he might represent a “Change” in any favorable direction.

Oh please. Every major proposed solution to global warming is the exact same thing that people in power have been pushing for for generations: taxation & reduced population. You don’t need to put a tax on carbon to encourage people to use renewable energy. At a minimum, technology has existed to run a car off of water since the 80’s, now race cars can run off of air, and a lot of people are using bio-diesel. If the government wants to do something that won’t cripple us economically to bring this technology to people easier, then that’s fine; no one has a problem with that. The problem, is the methods by which they are trying to force this mandate upon us; especially when “Climate Change” is being hotly contested.

Please don’t use logical fallacies to make an argument. You’re appealing to the majority. Whether few or most scientists agree on the same thing, doesn’t change the facts any. Firstly, the earth’s history is riddled with climate change from low to high to low to high; climate has always cycled. What we are experiencing with “Climate Change” is absolutely no different.
Secondly. and I’m really not trying to be snarky here, why can’t “you guys” form some sort of consensus? It seems like half of you say that the climate fluctuates (much like what you said) and the other half are still arguing that it’s getting hotter (when clearly this year alone has been frigid)….

I have a hard time believing Watson wrote this. “Green brigades”? Not only is this 100% hearsay…it doesn’t make sense. Whats the point of “policing” the public on carbon use if their is a tax to discourage use of said carbon. If a tax existed to DISCOURAGE use then that would mean people still have the option of legally using said carbon, but just pay an extra tax. Look at it another way. They have high cigarette taxes to discourage cigeratte use but its still legal, while other alternatives like marjuana are discouraged by being made illegal and heavily policed. It doesn’t make sense that something that would be “policed” (essentially illegal) would also be taxed (legal). The only way it could be both legal and policed is if the supply was heavily rationed, which would effectively reduce demand and make taxes necessary. I also highly doubt there will be “behavior monitors” and its also laughable that a larger Americorps some equates to this.
Now, I am 100% AGAINST any kind of carbon taxes on individuals (it should be 100% on the corporate polluters who DO have the option of switching to cleaner tech), but this article is disappointing and kind of embarrassing. It would be much better if there was some serious investigating into how carbon taxes would affect individuals and be inefficient in achieve the supposed stated goal (it would cause a conflict of interest between the gov’t and energy industry as the gov’t would benefit from industries leaving people no option but to use carbon heavy devices and vehicles). This article seems more targeted to whip up hysteria than educate on why CONSUMER carbon taxes are such a bad idea.

Climate change is not bs. It is happening. Anybody who has been alive for several decades will have noticed it. Anybody who has read history will have noticed it.
The real question is what is the cause?
Could it have anything to do with the fact that the planet is coming out of a mini ice age, ergo the temperatures are warmer? Now that things are being coming a bit cooler (no significant warming since about 1995) it hardly rates a mention other than being blamed on some mystical reaction to greenhouse gases.
The planet needs more carbon dioxide not less if we wish to feed the populations of the world. Add to that a return to compost fertilizers instead of the oil based variety used today. Compost will restore the ground to fertile soil while the fertilizers of toady kill it. Approximately 80% of all rubbish currently dumped into landfill is able to be composted.
The dumping of raw sewage into waterways must be banned. I understand that the factory pig farming currently sprays the waste onto the surrounding ground which is so waterlogged it simply runs off into the nearest stream. This practice effectively kills both the land and the streams.
Clear felling as a lumber harvesting system must be banned and replaced with selective felling. This way there is virtually no deforestation and even after several centuries of harvesting it is difficult to see where any timber has been harvested. The biodiversity is retained as a bonus.
The use of the internal combustion engine must be replaced with electric motors, or some other form of propulsion. The internal combustion engine is one of the most inefficient creators of energy ever devised. It is still fundamentally the same as when first developed over a century ago. Most of the energy is lost to heat caused by the movement of all the moving parts. What has technology done to improve its efficiency? Add more and more moving parts which has only had the opposite effect. Any attempt to increase the fuel efficiency has been trampled by the manufacturers or the oil companies.
These are just a few suggestions to ponder. Not draconian regime of laws to limit world development and further reduce to growth of plants which in turn will reduce the amount of available oxygen for us all to live.
To those who criticize Alex and this site for some of the material posted. If you were to look at most of the posting they are reposts from other sites and may not be the opinion of the webmaster. There are links to the original article and further links in support. For myself this saves me the time and the trouble of searching all the other sites for the information they present.
As with the question of Climate Change or Global Warming there is thousands of sites giving opinions from both sides of the debate. It is up to the reader to look at it all and then form your own opinion.
In response to the question about consensus of the scientific world about climate change, I believe the survey was faulty in the questions asked.
Q. Do you believe that the climate is changing?
A. Yes it is dynamic and always changing.
This can be interpreted as agreeing that 100% of scientist agree that the climate is changing. It is only when you ask the question about their views on what is the cause that you don’t get agreement.

That makes a $2.9 trillion estimated cost to be closer to 25% of GDP, not 7%. Where to you get that the US GDP is $42 trillion?

That is a great point, X. I’ve noticed throughout the few years I have been paying attention to global happenings, that since these elites operate out of London, in most cases, they seem to trial run these types of things in the U.K. first, before they bring it over here to the U.S. As for the article, why do people insist on denying what’s in front of them? I mean look at the contaminated vaccines, the GM manipulation, chemtrails, aspartame, sodium flouride in the water, etc. etc. When it comes to those things, it’s either true or it isn’t. Either the gov’t and major corporations are doing these things, or they aren’t. There isn’t any middle ground here. Either Watson is a lier, or he isn’t. If anyone does the research, they will see he’s telling the truth about that. I’m not gonna sit here and say this whole article is 100% correct, or it isn’t, but the fact remains that, if indeed the things I previously mentioned are happening, then there are sure a hellofalot more pressing matters that needed to be attended to, than “global warming.” How can you trust any legislation or system implementation from the same people who are responsible for these other crimes, namely the Federal Gov’t and it’s various institutions, and some major corporations?

Industrialized societies have increased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere beyond the carrying capacity of the planet. Man in his selfishness and greed (especially in the West) have created a serious situation where an 80% minimum reduction CO2 is required to SUSTAIN ALL LIFE on the planet. Yes plants respire and transpire C02 but global PPM are far too high. The climate system has been thrown dangerously out of balance.
Yes climate has changed due to natural causes in the geologic past but this has occured over millennia not a single century.
The horribly profligate lifestlye of US citizens as compared to that of other 1st world nations is harmful and not sustainable. Severe regulation is absolutely required especially given the wanton, laissez faire attitude of so many US citizens.
The recent cooling in the North Atlantic is a direct result of global warming as the warming effects of the Gulf Stream current have been slowed and diminished. There is no “trend of global cooling”. Global average temperatures have been steadily rising along with increased human population and industrialization globally.
As for the paranoia regarding a strong government response to this crisis I say bring it on.
Americans must live up to the extreme damage to the planet their collective lifestyle has caused.
The private sector will benefit from burgeoning green industries as well.
