Only hours after North Korea launched a rocket, Newt Gingrich was on television saying the United States should have preemptively attacked the nuclear-armed country – with an electromagnetic pulse.
“We do not appreciate the scale of threat that is evolving on the planet,” the former House Speaker said on Fox News Sunday. “And North Korea is a totally irresponsible dictatorship run by a person who is clearly out of touch with reality.”
The North Korean government says it launched an experimental communications satellite that is now orbiting in space; U.S. officials claim it was a missile that quickly fell into the Pacific ocean.
President Barack Obama, in Prague on his first tour of Europe, blasted the rocket launch as “provocative,” saying it violated a U.N. resolution, and pledged to take action at a U.N. Security Council meeting. Obama had joined other world leaders in urging the hard-line communist state to drop plans to test a missile.
But to Gingrich, who said on Fox that all United Nations dealings with both North Korea and Iran have been ineffective, talk is cheap. “One morning, just like 9/11, there’s gonna be a disaster,” the former Georgia congressman said. “And people are going to look around and say ‘Gosh, why didn’t anyone think of that?’ Well I’m telling you, the time to think about it is before the disaster, and not after.”
Pressed by Fox host Chris Wallace, Gingrich mentioned a few preemptive possibilities for stopping North Korean: “There are three or four techniques that could have been used, from unconventional forces to standoff capabilities… I’d recommend look[ing] at electromagnetic pulse…which changes every equation about how risky these weapons are.”
An electromagnetic pulse is a short, high-intensity burst of electromagnetic energy which can damage electronic and electrical equipment.
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) agreed with Gingrich’s preemptive policy, saying that “in the countryside of South Carolina, at some point you’ve got to back up words with action.”
Obama, who on Sunday called for a nuclear-free world, said North Korea should be punished and that “rules must be binding, violations must be punished, words must mean something.”
Congressman Howard Berman, who heads the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said that the U.N. Security Council should take further action. Berman called on China and Russia – which have diplomatic ties with Pyongyang – to join ranks with the United States and its allies Japan and South Korea in condemning the test.

The U S does not want anyone else to have a nuclear bomb because they want to be the only ones with them. FREAKS !! What a joke to hear Mr. Bilderberg himself, talk about Electromagnetic weapons? Like the corrupt piece of excrement wrote a book and now he is qualified to give offensive military strategies and advice to our government.
Explanation…. he is part of the Country Club of the NWO. They can attack and mass murder any country they choose.
These men or Wraiths are The Axis of Evil. And in the end they will get there just reward.
Godspeed to everyone, Shalom

Most EMP weapons are low yield nuclear… so, America should attack a country doing a missile test, with nuclear weapons? Seems a tad over kill, besides, an EMP would effectively fry every electronic device over there, thus throwing them back to the dark ages, for the most part. I am sure that NK is probably smart enough to have their infrastructure shielded with Faraday Cages and such though… still drastic measures for a country testing a missile. Is America turning into Israel? Pretty soon we’ll just start killing people because their country LOOKED like a threat.

LOL, yeah… Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc… no need to cough… we can all admit our Government attacked them, because they looked like likely suspects…
Now, as far as being non nuclear… HAARP… that could be true… but the majority of EMP type weapons are indeed nuclear… and Obama did say we needed to get rid of some of our stockpile… so why not shoot them off over North Korea, and cause a massive EMP.

The Newt said that the EMP could be potentially used by North Korea. Not by the U.S. And, the Newt said that the U.S. could have used 3 or 4 unconventional weapons to thwart the launch. Edwards and Grantz got it wrong.

BS—I don’t believe anything that comes out of those dirty mouths in the DISTRICT OF CRIMINALS…Gingrich is another warmonger too..

EMP? This could be a near admittance that Such Weapons might be readily used on demand, ie to bring down a ‘Bombardier’ Dash 8 TurboProp Colgan 3407 flying on behalf of Continental Airlines, on Friday 13th.
(It was Friday 13th here in the UK, ~ 0300z local time, and not the 12th of February, 2200 EST)!
These guys don’t know when to keep their mouths shut to continue the vital protection of the Elite Militarists.
This kind of person should be shut up, permanently I’d foresee, sooner rather than later?

Catherine Austin Fitts interviewed on Global Research’s radio show with Steve Lindman Catherine Austin Fitts (she worked under George Bush SNR and I find her work very credible; especially on narco trafficking in the banking system) She was contacted by an friend who wanted to get a world bond fund. He found one that had 15% of is paper in Indonesian Sovereign debt. She said that within one week it fell by 15% and she looked at the patterns and could only see insider trading. One week later the Tsunami happened. Fitts said the only thing she could conclude was that they knew the Tsunami was going to happen. She also said that she saw similar things happen prior to the earthquake in China where there were those strange cloud formations in the sky. I also remember reading that geologists were puzzled because they didn’t find the sort of things that normally happen before an earthquake.

First the FBI reference to terrorists using an EMP and now this. It will be interesting if EMP becomes a new buzzword to set the stage for a false flag.

If there wa another country developing military capabilities and nukes Like the US is, Americans would freak out. The sates has insane distructive capabilites and they go around destroying everywhere. But somehow convice everyone that it is a good thing and a nessisary thing. Propoganda is a powerfull weapon.

“And North Korea is a totally irresponsible dictatorship run by a person who is clearly out of touch with reality.”
There are those coutries with “responsible” dictatorship. I guess the US Government falls in that category. As far as the remark on being out of touch with reality… I think all politiciens are totally out of touch with reality. They shape the world to their own reality.

Along time ago, an electromagnetic pulse was fired at Newt Gingrich’s cerebral cortex, and today, as you can see for yourself, we have Newt Gingrich in his current state

Why do we have to control every country on the planet? Leave them and Iran alone and bring home the troops, to expensive.
April 6th, 2009 at 12:35 pm
I am reminded of a time when New York experienced a blackout and reports of problems with electronic equipment. This reminds me of that time and now I am wondering if this electromagnetic pulse was tested on New York.. Does anyone else remember this and maybe more details on it?

Do you all really think this is such a bad idea???
America is swimming in cash, you know. Washington has $Trillions just going to waste, so why not EMP or Nuke or do whatever to N Korea, and then we can spend a few of our excess $Billions rebuilding the country.
Thanks Newt! Another fine idea from an upstanding and moral man.

“We do not appreciate the scale of threat that is evolving on the planet” says he… well, the US spends over 700 billion a year on military – roughly 50% of the world’s total… but hey, war is peace(keeping)…
April 8th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
Hmmmm, “And North Korea is a totally irresponsible dictatorship run by a person who is clearly out of touch with reality.” Perhaps Mr. Gingrich should take a step back and assess what America is becoming. Certainly some of America’s own politicians could be classified in the same manner: “…out of touch with reality.” It sounds like the egomaniacs are really itching to use the new Weapons of Mass Destruction. Sad state of affairs.

Hmm it seems to me that mutually assured destruction still holds…..why didn’t the soviet union attack america? they have plenty of nukes for the job….what do you think would happen if they did hmm? well I’m pretty sure the same thing would happen in this case…..even if America was totally destroyed in such an attack any remaining nukes would auto lanuch against the attacking country LOL and it would all be over. So this is all a bunch of foolish games being played on all sides.
If korea launches first they will be destroyed and Kim will rule over a dead radioactive pit of a landscape like fallout 3 from his vault bunker LMAO what a victory.
