Glenn Beck Highlights Threat Of Martial Law Following Economic Crisis

Like him or loathe him, last night CNN’s Glenn Beck became the only mainstream media source thus far to address on national TV the reality of the situation Americans are facing with the manufactured financial implosion – the direct threat of domestic martial law and a global financial dictatorship.
Beck’s guest, Peter Schiff, respected author of “Crash Proof” and president of the brokerage firm Euro Pacific Capital, joined him in outlining that martial law, the use of armed troops on the streets to quell dissent, is a real possibility should the economic crisis not improve or worsen to the point where civil unrest is fomented.
The following exchange between Beck and Schiff, who was also economic adviser to Ron Paul during his presidential campaign, is from the CNN transcript of last night’s show:
SCHIFF: You know, what`s going to happen, of course, is as inflation starts running out of control and prices start going through the roof, the government again is going to focus on the symptoms and not the disease.
And they`re going to impose price controls on energy, on food, on a lot of other things that are vital, which means shortages, which means long lines, black markets, civil unrest. All this stuff is coming if we don`t stop. [...]
BECK: Peter, let`s talk a little bit about martial law. Why would that even be a consideration?
SCHIFF: Well, I don`t think it was a threat if they had rejected the bailout Bill, but I think it is a possibility a few years down the line. We just spoke a little bit about price controls and the effect that they`re going to have.
If we have shortages of food, if we have rolling blackouts. And people are upset, and they`re hungry, and they`re cold, there could be civil unrest. There could be looting, rioting, and that might be the impetus for the government to declare martial law.
BECK: You know, I don`t think you`re a couple of years away from something like that. I mean, honestly, Peter, I mean, look at what`s happening. In a half hour, I`ve got a congressman on about — about the racism cries. I mean, there are people that are right now so disenfranchised, and I think being encouraged to be disenfranchised on both sides, that at any time this damn thing could break apart.
SCHIFF: Yes. And we`re giving the government so much power. And you know, you give up a lot more civil liberties. When you have martial law and you`ve got the military policing our streets, when you`ve got suspension of habeas corpus, you`ve got curfews, you can`t be out of your house after dark, and they can just pick you up and put you in prison and keep you there indefinitely without charges, and there`s nothing you can do about it?
I mean, we`re giving up one liberty after another, all to protect ourselves from this economic crisis, which needs to happen anyway, but it doesn`t need to be nearly this bad.
BECK: Peter, this is — I mean, we`re in Crazytown, USA. But my gut tells me that, two years down the road — let`s just use that number — this country is not going to look anything like it does today. Our world has changed; it just hasn`t caught up.
During the ten minute segment, Beck and Schiff also pointed out that America is headed for Weimar Republic style hyperinflation at the hands of global bankers, stated that the financial implosion has been manufactured by design, warned that the Treasury has been given dictatorial powers and raised the question of whether the end game is a one world currency and one world financial governance.
Beck also played the now infamous clip of Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman from October 2nd stating that several members of Congress were threatened before the bailout vote that martial law would be instigated in America if the legislation was not passed.

Though Beck was unable to bring Rep. Sherman on to his show, the Congressman did appear exclusively on the Alex Jones show on October 3rd to discuss the threat of martial law. Peter Schiff also appeared on the Alex Jones show recently to discuss this important issue.

And what’s with Schiff first stating martial law in a few years potentially, then when Beck primes Schiff by saying it can break any minute, Schiff, seemingly like a lap dog, laps it’s up and agrees with him.

Well, the NWO will not work but they might declare martial law to throw things in CHAOS. Most cops will just sit in their home to protect the property with their government issued AR-15.Like I said, only COPS can legally own them even if retired as long as they do certain civil service. My ? is what do we do if martial law is implemented? How will we organize an effective counter to all this? Is it even possible given the weapons of the U.S. Military? If this goes through we will need to have a plan, we can not all simply sit around and talk about revolt, action must follow. A do not promote a violent uprising by any means but if it must happen then it must, live free or die, but we must organize.

Although 70% of the American people will vote for O’Bama the NeoCons have the votes rigged. And I’m positive the final numbers will be O’Bama 49% and McCain 51%. I mean, how many places can the US be? It’s already in 100 countries and on 700 odd facilities; surely military resources are stretched. My guess is, without the draft, that it will be limited martial law, picking off the vulnerable and herding them into camps.

It will happen on a school day. This I can assure you, and had talked to someone who had seen their plans. I recently retired from the military and this is no joke. There will be many fake scenarios played out across the country, and the schools will be ordered to have the children bused out of the area for so called safety. The county/city that you live in may end up with children from another part of county/state. This is what those secret emergency plans have in them to include the plans to have clergy quell disturbances and to turn in people to the authorities. The Nations’ children will be taken hostage for obedience. This also was used with slaves, to break families apart, break down the resistance. Tell people you know, tell your children that if this type of scenario happens, hide, get away, plan a scheduled meeting place with them. Get AWAY!

However, I honestly don’t think control by the military will work in this country. The whole bailout to me is the developed worlds biggest double standard. The G8 was asked to abolish the third world debt, which is remarkably less than the bailout, but refused even when the world made it perfectly clear that this is what we wanted, (protests, marches etc).
One of the reason for not abolishing the 3WD was that it would send the wrong moral message to the worlds economies allowing them to default on their loans.
So let me get this straight world leaders…its not alright to save human life from the degrading slow death of poverty managed by corupt leaders in the third world, but you all stand together when your shares start to loose points and bail out a financial system which benefit only the elite, managed by corrupt leaders.
No wonder there are military exercises going on around the world to prepare for internal unrest. You all must be very nervous spending our money in such a way.

I agree that martial law will probably be imposed soon, however, it is rather likely that it will be imposed after election day, since we suckers have to show that we still have enough confidence in the “system” to vote. That will legitimize further government action.
All the troops, regulations, and roundups in the world cannot create one loaf of bread. Martial law, whatever else it is, will show the world–and the American people–that the government,its paper money and Federal reserve, and its concentration camps, are a failure.
Where will the money come from to pay the troops and bureaucrats?
It is quite possible that martial law, horrible as it is, will show up the government as the hopeless failure that it is and even the army will refuse to carry out their orders, least of all for the obvious benefit of the same criminal kleptocrats who caused the perpetual war for perpetual peace that bled them dry in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The usurpers and criminals in charge of Washington and Wall street will vanish–much like their counterparts in the old “evil empire” and there will be a new opportunity for freedom, peace and prosperity to come to America, perhaps even under the guise of the Constitution and Bill of Rights so shamefully ignored under the old regime change.

I would tend to agree with you on that. Although urban areas are ganglands, the country is a far more threatening place. Where else in this country will you find a hoarde of ‘rednecks’ (as we have been termed) who ALL own hi powered rifles, and, usually do most of our HUNTING from 100 yards or better on a CASUAL basis. They have snipers? That’s an insult. We The People probably have a few HUNDRED THOUSAND snipers (many of which can still pop an egg at 300 yards)! All having a killer instinct, and no, a headshot wouldn’t interrupt our sleep for a minute. And if rifles weren’t enough, they would have to consider OUR tanks (modified farm equipment), and OUR silent killers (the bow hunters). LOL they completely overlooked the number of Bow users in this country also (add another 300,000-500,000 weapons to our side). We’re all about camoflage and stealth just like ‘them’. We sit and wait for HOURS to shoot something. And kevlar won’t stop a bear arrow. They may be able to subdue the city folk, but god help them when they start wandering too far from the city lights.
Imagine if you will, a scenario of a few trucks pulling into a small mountain city and demanding their weapons. They’ll get a few hundred pointed right back at them. I find it laughable they would consider a cooperative disarming of these people. Try it for yourself. Run in to a country town full of hillbillies and demand their guns. Remember, we hunt animals for sport and food, and we are still the Hatfields and McCoys. I wish you militards luck taking our weapons. We’ll cut you down in a heartbeat and leave you for the bears and coyotes, after we loot your corpse, of course. Then we’ll have TWICE the weapons and ammo we started with….. and possibly one of YOUR radios

It seems at the end of every presidential term administration there is a general paranoia about the president in power wanting to do an end run around the constitution and declare marshall law. Clinton was going to do it 20 days before W’s inauguration with the Y2K meltdown. And Bush Sr. before that, and Ronni Raygun before that.
Personally I don’t think it will happen. Congress just promised the banksters on wall street a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, and marshall law would be rather counter-productive to that.
