Follows thirteen per cent increase in Arctic ice cover as climate change cult increasingly discredited by evidence of big chill

Plans to implement a worldwide carbon tax in the name of saving the planet from global warming have taken another blow after it was revealed that Alaskan glaciers have grown for the first time in 250 years after an abnormally cool summer.
Temperatures 3 degrees below average caused winter snow to remain for longer, prompting the increase in glacial mass, reports the Daily Tech.
“Since 1946, the USGS has maintained a research project measuring the state of Alaskan glaciers. This year saw records broken for most snow buildup. It was also the first time since any records began being that the glaciers did not shrink during the summer months,” according to the report.
The biggest shrinkage witnessed in the region occurred between 1741 and 1900, during which the glaciers lost about 15 per cent of their total mass as the earth began to exit the climatological period coined the Little Ice Age.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but CO2 spewing cars and jumbo jets were not too prevalent in the 18th and 19th centuries.
And now that the planet has naturally exited a warming trend and is heading towards a new “big chill,” as evidenced by the near complete halt in sunspot activity, the glaciers are expanding once again.
Years more growth in the Alaskan glaciers “might mark the beginning of another Little Ice Age,” notes the report.
The expansion of the glaciers follows a similar occurrence in the Arctic, which has undergone an ice cover growth twice the size of Germany in the past year, a gain of about thirteen percent following a colder than usual year.
Man-made global warming adherents have attempted to downplay such instances as aberrations that defy a wider warming trend, but in reality no global warming has been observed since at least 1999 or even 1995, as University of Finland professor Jarl R. Ahlbeck maintains.
Evidence that the planet is tip-toeing towards the onset of a new mini ice age continues to present itself following unprecedented ice storms in Kenya as well as Sydney experiencing its coldest August for 60 years.
The cold snap arrives on the back of the Sun reaching a milestone not observed in nearly 100 years - the entire month of August passed without a single sunspot being noted.
Lack of solar activity in 2008 has coincided with evidence of a cooling trend across the world.
Earlier this year, China experienced its coldest winter in 100 years while northeast America was hit by record snow levels and Britain suffered its coldest Easter in decades as late-blooming daffodils were pounded with hail and snow on an almost daily basis. The British summer also left many yearning for global warming, with temperatures in June and July rarely struggling to get over 16 degrees and on one occasion even dropping as low as 9 degrees in the middle of the afternoon.
Many parts of the U.S. suffered their coldest April on record. Canada had its third coldest April since 1970.
“Summer heat continues in short supply, continuing a trend that has dominated much of the 21st Century’s opening decade,” reports the Chicago Tribune. “There have been only 162 days 90 degrees or warmer at Midway Airport over the period from 2000 to 2008. That’s by far the fewest 90-degree temperatures in the opening nine years of any decade on record here since 1930.”
According to an Associated Press report, The Farmers Almanac is now also predicting “below-average temperatures for most of the U.S.” The publication boasts of an 85 per cent accuracy rate for its forecasts which are given two years in advance.
According to a report from the World Meteorological Organization last month, the first half of 2008 was the coolest for at least five years, adding that it may actually be the coolest since 2000.
Man-made advocates have been losing credibility in recent months on the back of bizarre proposals to fight climate change that include blocking out the sun with spaceships as well as eviscerating pristine old growth forests, despite wider evidence of a cooling trend that is just beginning to manifest itself.

Quite aside from all the other logical fallacies presented in this piece once again we see Mr Watson citing the same discredited and nonsensical evidence to support his claims. It has been pointed out before in response to one of his pieces but apparently it needs pointing out again - the Daily Mail article linked to as ‘coldest April in decades’ was written in March. Not only that but the article does not even speculate on the possibilty of a cold April - it claims merely that this Easter was the coldest on record, hardly surprising since it was the earliest Easter in nearly a century.
If you’re going to link to an article citing it as evidence at least read it first. Of course, maybe it has been read but ignored in the Klondyke Cold Rush to produce propaganda.
There’s only evidence of one climate change cult here.

Funny, ABC News with Peter Jennings last night had a story about the New Zealand glacial ice melting. Damn, can’t we just get what’s actually going on?

I wanted everyone to know this, the fuckers have just let it be known that in New Jersey at least, the flu vaccine is now MANDATORY, plus a new PNEUMONOCOCCAL shot. This is the one they’re trying to sneak under the wire:

and in the info section of the vid is the link to the news story out this morning.

Edited to “coldest Easter in decades”. Oh yeah and April was just as freezing in the UK - the coldest since 2001. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/u.....view.shtml
Canada had its third coldest April since 1970 - http://motls.blogspot.com/2007.....years.html The U.S. had its coldest April on record - http://www.independent.co.uk/n.....44767.html
SUMMARY: APRIL WAS COLD - not propaganda - FACT.
October 17th, 2008 at 5:28 am
@Dr. Weezil: Peter Jennings died August, 2005.
Oh and @mythicshadow: The G in New Jersey has a huge stake in the vaccine manufacturing factory in PA to the tune of 180+ million dollars so they just want their money back. Check out Coast to Coast for the story.

All I know is that the NJ/NY/Ct area had THE WARMEST SUMMER SEASON on record. Go figure!
It busted all the records back to when they started keeping them!
This is not, of course, to stay it will not be by ice that our globe changes forever, but I do not buy into the garbage that we had nothing at all to do with it.
Our weather patterns have warmed CONSIDERABLY since the Industrial Revolution.
It was a mere 80 degrees in NJ yesterday. Some areas were higher than that. This is October 17th people! The leaves are trying desperately to turn and we are running around in shorts and I was just swimming in the ocean at a warm 69 degrees at the Jersey coast this past weekend!!!
Global warming may be a direct result of global cooling, but the fact remains–WE ARE IN A WHOLE BUNCH OF TROUBLE if we don’t take steps to curb pollution and our bad ways.
“Not By Fire, But By Ice” is the seminal book on global cooling. It really is worth a read!
And by the way, the vaccine regulation is only for children entering school. It is a horrible leap forward for the pharmies. Adults are not being forced to get it (yet!). We must take steps now to stop MANDATORY flu vaccinations.

April was close to average and only the coldest since 2001 - meaning it was warmer that the years prior to 2001. This indicates that the last few years have been abnormally high. In any case it’s hardly freezing (unless you take ‘close to average’ - from the site you link to - to mean freezing).
I’d agree it’s not propaganda - probably just sloppy journalism - but it’s certainly not fact no matter how capitalised the letters might be. In any case what does this tell us about Alaskan ice sheets? Unless you’re claiming that temperatures are cooler than at any time in the last 250 years the argument doesn’t make any sense. Even if they are this doesn’t indicate anything about temperatures over a sustained enough period to draw conclusions. If this October is hotter than recent ones will we see an article telling us about how global warming is back on?
October 17th, 2008 at 6:14 am
Why do people think that “global warming” means that every place on earth will get hotter, all at the same time?
Most of us in the western world live in a temperate zone well above the equator; Europe is actually sub-arctic. (For comparison, France, Germany, and England are all further north than Maine.) The gulf stream is the only thing that keeps Europe from freezing over completely. If the arctic ice cap warms past a certain point (and its disappearance this summer is strong evidence for large-scale warming, regardless of what’s happening in NJ or any other single sample spot), then the gulf stream stops and Europe freezes. Yes, you read that right - Europe freezing is one of the consequences of global warming.
Meanwhile, the tropics will get *baked*, and the southwestern US will become almost inhabitable.

Ummmm….. Dr. Weezil is it? Not sure if your comment was sarcastic (hard to tell…. sorry), but Peter Jenning died a few years ago so this report is either quite old or you got the reporter wrong.
Glaciers advance and recede all the time…….. we only get to hear about the ones that are receding.
October 17th, 2008 at 6:34 am
Ofcourse we have to take steps to curb pollution but that is not what this is about. I fucking hate inhaling pollution from cars and I do not appreciate the pollution in the water where I swim nor do I like seeing the crap in the air from the airplanes. What Mr. Watson is pointing out here though is that carbon dioxide is not what the propaganda says it is, some kind of devil gas. And all talk about sucking carbon dioxide out of the air or burying trees is simply insane.
October 17th, 2008 at 6:39 am
I personally visited Alaska in April of this year. We went on many glacier tour and even got to touch them. Everyone we talked to, all the guides said the same thing. This was the coldest summer Alaska has had in 50 years and they said all of the glaciers have done nothing but grow, more so this year.

There was a special on PBS recently about the earth being dimmer than before. Meaning not as much sun is getting thru to the earth as before. They say it is because of smog and other pollutants in the air that are blocking the suns rays thus causing the earth to be cooler offsetting the effects of global warming.
They Do Both Exist!!!! This was first noticed by farmers about 10 years ago but was dismissed again it was noticed after 9/11 when all fights were grounded and so no jet trails. Fortunately for us there was a scientist that noticed this as an opportunity and took some tests and discovered this to be true. I’m sure the special is still on PBS website it was a really good show and worth watching and will hopefully answer any questions.
We still need to look at all this and do something about the warming as well as the cooling and get control of it before it’s too late in the special they say that now because of the cooling there past reports about the amount of time we have to change this around is now less because of the cooling it means that temps are actually going up faster than predicted and instead of 20 to 30 years before we reach the point of no return for the temp climb it is now 10 - 15 and really we need drastic change in the next 8 if we want to keep most of the plant life on this planet from burning off from temps getting too high.
October 17th, 2008 at 7:18 am
ha ha, all i have to say is,I hope those ppl who mongered me about being wrong with global cooling put a foot in it.

Dear Cluster (#14) I am going to snap your neck for being such an idiot. “We need to do something…boohoo” Fuck you! This is a planet of nature, we are not gods, we cannot control the temperature, if it gets hot then it is hot, if it gets cold then hell yeah but please stfu about it! I can’t stand people…have you seen “the mist”? remember that crazy lady and how all the morons listened to her…yeah she got shot because she was stupid like you.

lol the carbon tax is an insult to intelligence… the amount of carbon produced by a car is directly proportional to the amount of gas consumed…. soooooo……. just tax more on gas if you want another fucking tax GOD DAMN SCHEMING DEVILWORSHIPPERS!!
October 17th, 2008 at 7:59 am
Cluster needs a reality check….please understand…NO WARMING…your warming mates have screwed up as predicted.
You have been duped.
For the record the computer models only put in the positives to their argument…not the negatives.
I could go on but cant be bothered.

Arguments of those that believe carbon emissions cause climate change:
1. Carbon emissions also cause global cooling.
2. The temperature may also be increasing on other planets, but carbon emissions speed up the rate of climate change here on earth.
How do we argue with that? Please help me out infowarriors.

The SUN at 93 million miles away; is a Nuclear Bomb, waiting to explode [super nova]!
The Sun is Earths’ only source of external Heat [the molten inner core is internal heat]!
The human race, US, comprise only a small percentage of the planet; as most of the land mass is unpopulated [and the rest of Earth is Water: as 75% of the planet is wet]!
I DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THE MEDIA SAYS’ = do your own homework..i did!

This is science. Proven facts, I’m not preaching. I’m just giving the facts. You can act like your 3 and ignorant, but me I do research and study history and being from a family that has been farmers for more than 400 years that we have record of then I go by that and the facts from the experts and scientist. sorry if you can’t handle this or if I offended you with knowledge, science, and research.
October 17th, 2008 at 9:10 am
When a ice chunk breaks off, either it floats away and eventually melts OR it sinks. When it sinks, it causes the water above to freeze and appear that the glacier is actually growing. Around 50% of the break away ice sinks.
October 17th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Well is it getting colder into getting warmer? When I woke up this morning my house was too warm and two cold so I turn on my air conditioner and my furnace because I want it sure if I was too warm are too cold. Then I put on my overcoat and took off my pants because I was still too warm and too cold. But told myself, if only I weren’t so cold and so hot life would be good.
This is how much sense the people are making when they talk about global warming and global cooling. Let’s create pollution to block out the sun and cool the earth. Let’s clean up pollution up so the earth can be warm or is it the other way around? I’m confused?
I hear all of the talk and about the global warming, I mean global cooling and every time I can’t help think that most of the people selling this junk science are not scientist but in reality are propagandist following the status quo of that junk science. The scary part is the solutions that they offer.
Can you really believe that they can measure ½ of a degree world average in a medium as complex and dynamic as earth’s atmospheric weather? If you can you need to do some research of your own.
Global temperature change is a normal occurrence. People are exploiting this natural occurrence for their own gain. The people that have an education in climate change, Order To Keep Getting Funding, would be unemployed if they could not find something troubling with our climate. Their favorite one liners, ” We need to do more research.” Keep giving us money. “The earth will melt if we do not keep researching this problem.”
I will start believing this propaganda when Al Gore quits flying his jet around selling his book all the while living in a very large house driving a very large car. Somehow I have a hard time believing some one that does not walk the talk.
My advice (everyone has one) to the people that believe this lie. Next time you go somewhere, walk. If it takes more than a hour to walk, ride a bike. If it takes more than an hour to ride a bike, take a bus or train and only when time is of the most importance, fly. If you’re not taking these steps you’re nothing more than a hypocrite. So get over yourself and shut up.
For myself, I do these things not for the planet but for my pocket, it’s cheaper. I don’t believe the propaganda. I know the earth’s temperature varies. It has been doing this for many, many, years. The earth’s temperature will never remain constant. If the earth’s temperatures remain constant weather would stop. It is fluctuating temperature, controlled by the sun, they gives this wondrous planet its breath of life. Besides, if global warming or cooling is an environmental problem, created by man, once man has destroyed the environment to a point, man will not survive. So in reality, environmentalist are short sighted. Long term the planet will survive. As did after the ice age.

If Paul Joseph Watson stuck to something he knew something about, it would be a great boon to us all.
But since he won’t, and since he won’t debate people of sense on the global warming issue, or respond to reasoned arguments posted in this forum, I’ll use his idiotic nonsense above as a platform to try to get translators for my new political poem “The Revolution Will Not Be Organized.”
I’m looking for native speakers of French, German, Russian, Czech, Polish, Arabic, Japanese — any language other than English (Italian’s taken care of :). . . who might be inspired to translate the poem.
Thanks, Jock

watch the videos they explain it pretty well all that you are questioning. John you want scientists well if you watched the videos then you would have about a dozen of them all well credited and know and I think 3 are mentioned in the first 5 minutes.I’m sorry you don’t know about your families history and yes the records that we have only go back to around 1620. I’ve come to find that when you study history you don’t tend to make the same mistakes. oh and please stop with the name calling because your ignorance hurts. ouch, no please!! ha!! turn 6 already would you.

I think some of you need to go further back. From 1250-1600’s Northern Europe and North America(most documented areas) experienced something called “The Little Ice Age”. During this period, warm summer climates were takin over by cold weather and at one point years of rain. Increases in glaciers and average snowfall. Areas in ethiopia had snow were now there is none. This brought famine, disease and a global change that lasted hundreds of years. Also brought a change in what could be grown considering the very short season if any there was to grow crops. During this period wine was the drink of choice, but because of the enviroment, grapes could not be successfully grown, thus bringing on the growing of grain for beer. Which is in most brewers minds the beer renaissance. Not to go off track, but I don’t believe people had huge factories with cfc’s, pcp,s and people didnt have suvs! It’s important to understand our environment, which most of you don’t. I suggest before you get you head clogged up with conspiracy and unproven documentaries that you look a little deeper for yourselves.. Most people today have an agenda. Whats yours? To cry, to complain? What are any of you doing? Ask yourself what have you brought to the table besides talk and one sided banter?

Ike India and china are putting more pollution in the air than ever before even if the US and Europe stop completely it wouldn’t make a mark in what they are doing. sorry nice try but this needs to be globally. That is why it still goes down. when 9/11 happened the global temp went up 1 degree in 3 days just from no jet trails in the air. And as far as I know jets still fly over Europe. lets see here oil companies are desperate right now if we all stop they lose money they put the pollutants in the air to lower the temp then you stop caring about it buy more oil and then they make more money and stop caring till its too late and we all die how about that one. Screw the oil companies that make the jet trails, CO2 and every thing else they do LIE, KILL, CORRUPT!!! Why be their PAWNS??? Why defend them

Oppps maybe next time I’ll not skim through the article…
October 17th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
But according to the global dimming program the cleaner pollution in Europe does/should show higher temeperatures in Europe so I have no idea what you are talking about not making a mark because of China.
Yet now we have a cooler climate in Europe, what gives?
I’m only talking about what they say in the program and what I see in temperatures.
October 17th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
umm is there a dome over Europe that keeps it from being effected by the rest of the world? Climate is controlled by everywhere. Just cause europe is doing good doesn’t mean what happens else where won’t effect it.

Global Dimming? A good name for the World Literacy and Critical Thinking statistics.
October 17th, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Cluster: So you don’t agree with the global dimming program then? And what you’re saying is that no matter if all pollution stops in Europe that won’t matter because China and India are blowing all their pollution our way?
October 17th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
First it was “global WARMING” because that fit the agenda UNTIL the FACTS showed the earth to be cooling. Then it was switched to “Climate Change” which facts show the climate is ALWAYS changing. Why would that be? Well…. for the brain-children, the earth is a “DYNAMIC” planet and not a “STATIC” one. (Meaning things “change” constantly). Put down the xbox controller and twinkie, and do some “learning”. I know it’s a hard and new concept, but it will ultimately reward you with “knowledge” and “wisdom”.
But here’s the ultimate proof that “Global Climate Change” is nothing more than a tool used to herd people into a one world government.
Have you noticed all the “Global” themes for everything going on within the past few years?
“Global Warming/Climate Change”
“Global food crisis”
“Global financial Crisis”
“Global fuel shortage”
“Global Terrorism”
“Global Economy”
See the pattern? Can you guess why they use the word “Global” all the time? It’s called “Indoctrination”. Get people to think everything is a “Global” problem in which we will need a “Global Solution”. Enter a N.W.O. (W = World a.k.a. “GLOBAL”)
For fuck sakes people… use the brain that is molding away in your heads. It’s there for a reason.
Also, the so called “experts” in the field of “Global Warming” are as someone previously mentioned PAID to do their research and produce results… if they produce results… they don’t get paid… so in order to keep their jobs… THE PRODUCE RESULTS.
I also find it funny that people are quick to believe a GOVERNMENT group of scientists OR scientists that receive grants from governments. Uhhh… hey stupid…. just cause he’s a “scientist” DOESN’T mean he doesn’t have ties to a “GOVERNMENT”.

No, there weren’t cars in the 18th and 19th centuries, but wood, charcoal and coal were the main sources of fuel for energy. At one time, in the middle ages, something like 1/3 of the population was engaged in charcoal production — chopping down trees and partially burning them. It was essential to obtain the higher temperatures needed to smelt ore and shape metals. One of the most significant sources of CO2 emissions today is from the fires lit by families in underdeveloped countries to cook their daily meals. Stop burning down the Amazonian rainforest and help these countries to deliver electricity to their people (always polluting, but less so when done with care), and you can deal a large blow to CO2 emissions.

Talk about massive government cover ups. After the discovery of Planet x, with the IRAS satalite back in 1983, and reconfirmed in 1999-2003 the US gov and EU has gone to extreem mesures to surpress its very existance, the recent release of even newer evidence from the University Of Kobe, suggests that the sunspot activity reduction is tied to the rapidly approaching Planet x , due to make its visual arrival by everybody by 2010, and by 2012 be causing all kinds of nasty plantetary events. I have done extensive research on the subject and found allot of crap, and missinformation….but this to be a very credible source of information you really need to know about. http://churchofcriticalthinking.org/planetx.html

maybe you are wrong PJ Watson, back in the 18th - 19th centuries they had a lot of horses for transport and horses fart a lot y’know and air travel? well, santa’s reindeers have left us in a fine mess.

Can’t you guys see the joke in the article?

@Jeff:
Water can expand to almost twice its volume when it freezes to ice. This explains why rocks that have cracks in them that can hold water ( as from a rain storm, etc. ) eventually break apart from the “wedge action” of freezing. This would also explain why a glass bottle often will break if it is filled with water and then placed in a freezer.
A little observation would show you that the ice cubes that you put in your summertime drinks ALWAYS FLOAT!! ( This being true in fresh water and, especially in SALTY water. ) The sea, being very-salty, is of GREATER DENSITY than fresh water, therefore ice floats more so in the salty sea-water.
Most of your icebergs are going to be composed of freshwater, frozen, by way of precipitation ( rain, snow, sleet, etc… ) that has very little salt in it. This is because our air temperatures do not ever reach the levels needed to vaporize any of the recognizable salts present in our seas. Therefore, nature affects a “distillation effect” whereby only the water vaporizes and becomes part of our atmosphere ( water vapor “dissolves” into a “solution” with other gases that make up our atmosphere ). When the air temperature, in a given area of the atmosphere, cools - the vapor condenses as the cooler air can not hold onto as much water vapor as warmer air can; the net result is the precipitation that we call rain, snow, hail, sleet, and whatever have you. This precipitation, minus the sea salts, comprises most of the snow masses and ice that form on our poles and hold a large portion of the Earth’s freshwater supplies.
When chunks of ice, near the water’s edge, break off in large chunks, icebergs, they FLOAT with about four-fifths ( 4/5’s ) being underwater due to the amount of mass present. These icebergs may melt considerably as the seawater approaches higher temperatures than the 32F that water freezes. Because the seawater is so salty, it is LESS likely to freeze even @ several degrees below the 32F freezing point of water. Also, the freshwater-derived ice will not sink in salty seawater because the ice ( due to water’s expansion of volume upon freezing ) is LESS dense than the saturated salty water.
You can easily test this @ home by doing some simple physics experiments with ice, freshwater, tapwater, and even saltwater of varying concentrations of salt content.
If your icebergs are sinking, that means there is more than just ice in them!
DO YOURSELF AND EVERYONE ELSE A FAVOR: GO AND RELEARN REAL SCIENCE!!!
@jokadownunda:
Maybe so. However, you forget that there were also far fewer people in those days, and there were still a multitude of wildlife species that also “fart” and exhale CO2, not everyone then could afford or even had any horses or cattle! I have read your posts for a quite a while and see no common sense expressed in any of them! To also answer your statement(s), go check on the results of years of geological studies and close examinations of the arctic and antarctic ice core samples ( you just got to love technology!!! ) and see just how well this Earth keeps weather and climate records, without the aid of computers, spreadsheets, graphs, and such!
@cluster:
You haven’t explained how almost 37,000 climatologists, scientists, physicists, and the like have been repudiated by the IPCC in favor of supporting the views of about 600 scientists who maintain the ‘man-made’ climate change assertion. Maybe you missed the point that the MAJORITY of those scientists present were suing the IPCC to have their names removed from the final report as it did not reflect a true scientific basis of the supported ‘outcome’ that the IPCC wanted to publicly report. You also failed to mention anything about the fact that the staff of the Farmer’s Almanac ( published for hundreds of years as the trusted source for climate and weather-related information for the following year(s) ) came out against the climate-change cult and dismissed the propaganda as lacking any scientific credibility. ( Not to mention that the Farmer’s Almanac has consistently maintained an accuracy rate of about 95 to 98% year to year! ) Nor do you mention that the founder of the Weather Channel has a lawsuit against Albert Arnold Gore, Jr. ( former Vice-President of the United States ) over the published book, “Earth in the Balance”, as perpetrating a fraud through material misrepresentation under the guise of science! The higher courts of Britain have ruled on virtually all of the main points made in “Earth in the Balance” that support the flawed view of ‘global warming’ lack any credible standing and lack any scientific basis for any of those points, and the book in general, to have any accuracy!!!
If I need to extrapolate any further examples of the “political” crisis of this climate-change philosophy, I am more than willing to debate and PROVE that man-made climate change through ‘excessive CO2′ emissions is complete malarky!!!

Hello, global dimming, as some of you know, the British government brought in a ‘clean air act’, its working, as this summer, 2008, has been colder tha usual, the thing is, what lets heat it, also lets heat out, hence hot when we have sun here, cold when its cloudy, as for the %1.00 of CO2 in the atmosphere, I really cannot see that making any diferance to global tempreature, Methane, on the other hand, which is increasing, due to outgassing in the Russian permafrost, is, as far as I can tell from varius science sites, making a diferance, plus the sun, good old Sol, where would we be without it? Did you know termites make more methane than bovines??

@JSSmith
Weather prediction has always been a major feature of the Farmers’ Almanac. The Almanac Publishing Company claims readers of the Farmers’ Almanac have attributed an 80 to 85 percent accuracy rate to the publication’s annual forecasts. Scientific studies of these claims have shown them to be false. ( not even on their site do they claim On average of 95 to 98 % accuracy ) no meteorologist in this world would say that they can predict what will happen with the weather with that Kind accuracy. They would be laughed at in their community of fellow meteorologists. Almanac’s predictions are no better than chance.
Predictions for each edition are made as far as two years in advance. The Farmers’ Almanac publishers are highly secretive about the method used to make its predictions, only stating publicly that it is a “top secret mathematical and astronomical formula, that relies on sunspot activity, tidal action, planetary position and many other factors.” The identity of the Farmers’ Almanac weather forecaster is also a secret. The Almanac’s forecaster is referred to by the pseudonym “Caleb Weatherbee.”
Next time get the right facts about something you want to support your arguments with. Sorry but the facts are facts i care less about the political side of this. These studies were discovered by more than one scientist in different parts of the world that had no connection to each other until David Travis a climate scientist released his findings of how the lack of no Jet trails after 9/11 caused a global average temp. climb of 1 degree. This is not only related to CO2 emissions. There are many other factors to this.
This may not seem like a lot it is but it is tremendous. After this was released is when other scientist that have been studying this effect over the last 20 years or so came out and released their findings. The climate when altered just the slightest bit can be disastrous. up or down this is a very delicate world we live in and the more stuff we put into the air the more it changes some we can predict some we can’t because it’s never happened so have no way to judge this with no prior knowledge. I don’t know how much more real science I can show you. The Farmers Almanac is defiantly not that sorry.
I did go to school and studied meteorology, particle physics, and fluid dynamic. Now I may use this for other reasons than predicting climate change and more for doing effects and creating simulations for Film and media. But I can tell you that the findings and tests that they have done are all sound and done correctly. It’s not just guess work there is a process that they go thru before they come out and say it’s fact or come out and announce it or else they would be laughed out of there profession.
I would like to know where you got your info on the IPCC so I could read up on it and research it.
I don’t mind debating this with you but it’s hard for me to do this, or take you seriously, when the facts you give me are incorrect. This is in response to the farmers almanac facts you provided not the rest because I haven’t been able to find this info on the IPCC to debate this with you.
IF you can tell me one reason why changing things to live in a clean world would be bad or not benefit from it then tell me but. developing clean energy sources will create more jobs help our economy and stop giving money to the people that are trying to control us.
As for al gore i haven’t brought him up because didn’t think it was needed but when he gives the speeches at TED a convention that brings together the Top minds in the world every year. The Top to speak every year and these people don’t boo him off stage they give him standing ovations. Why if his idea’s are so crazy would the top minds in the world agree with him. Not one gets up and argues his points not one hummm.

what does al gore have to say about that

Two weather stations in Brazil,
Quixeramobim RURAL flat temp trend from 1900 to 2008.
Sao Paulo large city, urban, steep rising temp trend from 1960 to 2008, can`t see any co2 warming here.
Sao Paulo has population of over 10 million, see any link, might there be a little UHI there somewhere.
