For the 12th time this meteorological summer (since June 1), daytime highs failed to reach 70 degrees Wednesday. Only one other year in the past half century has hosted so many sub-70-degree days up to this point in a summer season — 1969, when 14 such days occurred.
Wednesday’s paltry 65-degree high at O’Hare International Airport (an early-May-level temperature and a reading 18 degrees below normal) was also the city’s coolest July 8 high in 118 years — since a 61-degree high on the date in 1891.

Rains on Wednesday were bothersome but generally light in the city, where 0.20 inches fell at Midway Airport. Heavier rains were recorded well west and southwest of Chicago, including an unofficial report of 0.93 inches at DeKalb and 0.60 inches in Pontiac.
Sunshine re-emerges Thursday and should boost temperatures back into the 80s. Southeast winds off Lake Michigan will limit shoreline highs to the mid-and-upper 70s. An isolated thunderstorm may bubble to life in far western sections of the area late in the day

Just breath normaly, eat some beans so you fart all the time, drive an SUV, leave the lights on in the day time & don’t pay a carbon tax. If you do this it you will notice the weather getting warmer & the poor polar bears will all drownd thanks to you.
I have a better solution for global warming. Lets invest billions of $$$ into swimming lesons for all polar bears. That should do the trick.

Well, if you have the money, you could buy about 180 antenna units and shoot massive amounts of HF signal into a concentrated area in the ionoshpere. This will act as a heater upon the ionosphere.
Make sure you check with the patent office on any designs, though. I think DARPA has already cornered the market with their HAARP machine.

INCREASE global warming? Increase the temperature our greatest heatsink the oceans … this is typically done by increasing the amount of solar radiation.
Perhaps we could damage our atmosphere to allow an increase.

Global Warming? Good God, This has been happening since the earth as we learned to understand, Been doing since beginning of time. You talk to your ancestors who are up in years and they’ll tell you of the hot summers and cold winters with snow up to their roofs. It’s a happening thats been going on since beginning of time. They push Global warming, start asking them how Much concrete covers the earth from buildings and parking lots in the country or the world if you wanna go that far. Don’t you think that alone traps Heat inside the earth? We can think of many reasons the earths heating up, but its been happening for years, and its just Nature. Man has Put the TAX on it to do what? Make the rich, Even richer. Corporate America has swindled the American Public far too long. Now they start asking questions for them to justify the troubles and they shun us for it. they make Laws so we cannot access records to show there Underhandedness. All they do is take what little we have away and call it some form of a Tax. Well, I say lets Jamb there Carbon Tax down Gores throat tell him to cough up what he’s already stole from us in forms of Taxes when he was Vice President! That alone should warn you whatever they conquer up is to take away from you and me to put it into their own pockets. We forget, they are suppose to be servants for the public, That’s you and me. They work for US. Yet, they order or tell US what were going to do. That’s Bogus. Then one corporate businessman asked the rest of the Business world about Bonuses like the AIG, and they cough it up someway and from somewhere, and that’s usually you and me Paying for it on the little we all make. Something should be telling you, something is wrong. DEAD WRONG!

Most of time all i HEAR when Alex or Burmas speak about global warming they retaliate the situation with…”when we breath we exhale co2,tress use co2 to make oxygen, how can it be harming the envirnment” Now let me say that I am on neither side at this point. What I think about when I hear them say these things is yes this is true about co2 but just like if there is a glass of water filled to the top and if you pour more water into the glass it spills over. Obvioulsy the co2 we as humans exhale will not throw the Harmomy Of Nature out of balance. In the past the planet was free of humans burning fossile fuels..what if now because of the EXTENSIVE use of fussile fuels we are tipping the glass? The argument of “we exhale co2 and tress breath co2″ means nothing. It’s about all the extra c02 that is being poured in the glass. Yes it seems that the envirnmental movement started out as a legit peoples movement and now it has ended up being used as a political workhourse. We are intimately connected to Nature, the harmony of Nature is imperative to our survivial. If you do not understand that you need to seriusly look at what you are. Regardless if this whole global warming shit is real or not we should be making huge leaps towards living in a more harmonic relationship with our Mother Nature

Since 2000, atmospheric carbon dioxide has increased 18.4% of the increase from 1800 to 2000. According to the average of the five reporting agencies, the trend of average global temperatures since 1998 shows no increase and from 2002 through 2008 the trend shows a DECREASE of 1.8°C/century. This separation (there have been many others) corroborates the lack of connection between atmospheric carbon dioxide increase and average global temperature. I wonder how wide the separation will need to get before the IPCC and a lot of others are forced to realize that maybe they missed something.
As the atmospheric carbon dioxide level continues to increase and the average global temperature doesn’t it is becoming more and more apparent that many Climate Scientists have made an egregious mistake and a whole lot of people have been misled.
I am now CERTAIN that added atmospheric carbon dioxide has no significant influence on average global temperature. For some time I was a skeptic regarding the human contribution to Global Warming. After thousands of hours of research I am no longer a mere skeptic.
Many Climate Scientists appear to understand some relevant science poorly (it’s not in their curriculum). With understanding of the missing science and knowledge of accepted paleo temperature data it is trivial to show that added atmospheric carbon dioxide has no significant influence on average global temperature. There is still the certainty of peek oil given the finite resource. Research money would be far better spent to modify the dna of some algae that are high oil producers to make them more robust and/or other algae that are robust to make them higher oil producers. (There was Government sponsored research to identify high oil-producing algae in the 90s that was not exploited because of cheap oil at that time) Calculations based on that work show that an open facility (which could be located in the desert) 120 miles on a side using only sunlight, sea water and genetically engineered algae could produce enough oil to meet all liquid fuel needs in the U.S.A. Alternatively, known technology using fast breeder reactors could meet all of humanities needs for energy for millions of years.

Any scientists out there? Please explain to these idiots that that Global warming does not necessarily equate to warm temps and instead= drastic climate flucuations (including extreme cold,) which is why the title has been changed to Climate change as of late. It causes everything to go haywire so warm places can be unseasonably cold and vice versa/ Someone pleas explain this in a scientific manner here to these children. Thank you.

Ohh climate change now? But thats not what they have been saying for the past decade +, they just said it would be getting hotter; but i guess when the scientists you want to teach us children, dont even understand why this is really all happening, that they have to change the lie to fit their agenda, so it is now called climate change.
Im not saying i know it all either, and to be honest i dont think any one in the world can truly say why this is all happening. Not everything in life can be answered as much as you may like it to be. So to dive into the whole climate change issue, legislation and laws full forced like the USA is doing, is just plain silly and stupid. Because NO ONE KNOWS.

I’m with you and Al Gore Ive started trading carbon and bought oil shares (cant buy a whole oil company like Al ) and I’m looking into land in Africa as it will be cheap after we have carbon taxed all the ignorant blacks to death ,happy days!!!

Bastet, there are several thousand experienced climatologists and other scientists currently fighting to destroy the corporate myth of man-made CO2’s influence on climate change/global warming/call it what you will. Those guys are not in the pay of the oil companies, the only agenda they have is to tell the truth.
On the contrary, it is the oil companies that are responsible for propagating the CO2 myth to further their agenda of a one world government, which they will control. They really don’t give a damn about pollution, or polar bears, or you and me for that matter.

For those who can recognize it, the proof is there that added atmospheric carbon dioxide has no significant effect on average global temperature. Without effect on temperature there is no effect on climate change. The climate change that is going on now is the same climate change that has always gone on as influenced by factors external to the planet. The gullible are being misled by the media hype whose MO is that if it isn’t a disaster, it isn’t news.
