In Michigan, temperatures Wednesday morning ranged from minus 17 at Ironwood in the western Upper Peninsula to 10 degrees in the southwestern Lower Peninsula and 12 on Beaver Island. Ironwood earlier recorded a temperature of minus 23.
Thermometers read single digits early in the day as far south as Kansas and Missouri, where some areas warmed only into the teens by midday.

It’s been very cold in central Europe as well. In the north it’s been normal. From what I understand it doesn’t change the general trend. We’ll have to wait and see. I’m open for facts but so far facts for global warming has convinced me more that the opposite.

Obviously then you are either a disinfo troll or you have refused to take 15 minutes out of your day to research the fact that the majority of the scientists Al Gore claimed credit for on the IPCC in An Inconvenient (un)Truth refuse to tow the line on the official anthropogenic global warming swiss cheese theory. Most of them feel that their names were inappropriately used in that report. Also, most of the people left on the IPCC report are not even scientists. They’re lobbyists, politicians, & people that aren’t even qualified to have an opinion. Let me tell you something. I’ve been alive 31 years, & this is the coldest damned winter I’ve ever witnessed in the Chicago area. Anyone who thinks that global warming is real can kiss my fucking ass & that includes our President Elect.

You guys are truly idiots. Global warming is not even and yes it does causes spikes in both hot and cold depending on the season. anyone with knowledge in meteorology and the cycles of temperature knows that global warming is causing more precipitation in winter and colder temperatures and warmer temperatures during the summer. These extreme differences in turn cause high winds and bigger storms. Global warming is a misnomer, it should be called global weirding.
Once again alex jones and his mindless zombies lie and spin and spew right wing oil shill propaganda. No one says co2 is a pollutant in the normal sense. Scientists say it keeps the heat in the atmosphere. ALL and I really mean ALL of the talking points denying global warming have easily and completely been debunked. Only idiot right wingers and paid shills do not believe in global warming. The consensus is 98% that global warming is happening. Go to quicksilverscreenDOTcom. Then do to the documentary section and watch climate wars 1-3. I find it truly mind boggling at the amount of brain dead idiots found on alex jones sites. The man is the poster boy for right wing religious conservative talking points. Sure he is correct on many subjects but he is still propaganda. Wake up people…alex jones has family in the oil business and GCN is controlled by clearchannel, another extreme right wing mouthpiece. Alex Jones lead to religious corporatism and small government, the perfect recipe for fascism.
Once again this sites promotes deregulation and small government in order to give power to the corps. Anyone wanting more deregulation and blaming the meltdown on government intervention is simply insane and a complete idiot. The problem was caused because the free market was allowed to do whatever it wanted. Just like with the problems with pollution. Just like most problems found around the world. The corps want to destroy government so that laws and regulations will not hinder them. Even innovation is stifled when the corps are allowed to do whatever they want. Improvement in efficiency in all our products is due to government regulations which forced the corps to evolve. The good idea of marxism eventually devolved into evil communism and the good idea of capitalism eventually devolved into evil corporatism. Listening to alex jones and his mindless army of idiots is just like listening to die hard communists still wanting to bring communism back. Both systems are evil and discredited and they were never pure. So once again alex jones and his cronies want you to hate government and love the free market. This is double speak and a deception because the reason the government does not work is because it is controlled by the corps. It works perfectly, only for them. Anyone wanting to fix this problem by making government smaller must have the intelligence of a chimp. By making government smaller, you give the corps exactly what they want. They want you to hate government to make it smaller so they can swoop in and fill the power vacuum. Alex jones zombies seem to be patriotic and if this is so, why do they want to give their freedom away to the corps? Everyone that has died defending the US in the past 300 years did not die to give power to the corps, they died defending the country and its democratic government of the people and for the people. By siding with small governments and the corps, you are spitting on the flag and spitting in the face of every soldier who has ever died defending freedom. They did not die for the freedom of the corps to do as they wish. Government needs to be bigger and free of corp[orate and religious control. alex jones leads to religious corporatism.

WOW. What a rant. No substance nor any real argument to support your position on the question at hand, just a rant about Alex Jones.
It is only natural that the planet is warming after all it is coming out of an ice age which ended only about 50 years ago not that anyone within the mainstream media seems to understand that point. The global climate is and always has been in constant change. Over the past century the general trend has been towards a warmer global situation. What has been the cause of this is really the question that has to be answered. Climate is a very complex system with millions of events influencing outcomes. So much so that the weather cannot be accurately forecast even over the next couple of hours with any certainty. How is it possible to forecast what will happen over the next century or two even with the most sophisticated super computers available? Especially, when all of the interactions are not fully understood.
As for saying that human activity has been the major (even the only) factor altering the Global climate is egotistical in the very least. Man’s actions have been estimated to account for about 1% or less but this has not stopped the near religious zeal that the proponents have pushed their views.
The push for the reduction of Carbon Dioxide emission will be detrimental to the planet. All plants need CO2 to survive and grow. Currently Co2 is at about 400ppm but optimum plant growth requires 1000ppm to 1300ppm. By the way mining safety limit is 10,000ppm. Reduce the level and standby to starve.
For the record I have and never had any connect with any political party. I have been connected with any oil company in that I once worked in a petrochemical plant for a few months doing cleanup work after a fire. Other than that only as a user of their products. I am not a right wing xenophobic uneducated ignorant religious zealot,

Your global warming science relies on a 1000 year model. The climate goes in 12,000 year warming periods & 100,000 cooling periods according to recent & well established ocean floor fossil studies. In order to get a clear picture of how Earth’s climate works you must look at millions of years of statistics, which the Anthropogenic GW crowd refuses to do. It’s easy to rig science with computers & unscientific research methods like the government funded global warming advocate scientists use. Get your head out of your ass.

I made an observation about local climate and made a statement that the governments are using the fear of man made global warming as an excuse to introduce further controls on society, globally!

youguysareidiots, it is you who is the complete fool my friend.I am extremely pro enviroment, but climate change has more to do with politics than science. If you knew anything about meteorology or enviromental science, you would realize it is the sun that regulates temperature and climate change, not co2. The earths climate constantly shifts, it is never the same. from 1900 to 1940 we had global warming, yet there was barely any man made green house gases, and then from 1940-70 we had the greastest industrial boom pumping out more co2 than any man could imagine, yet during this period we had intense global cooling, what scientest called the ‘little ice age’. This period was the greastest ever increase in greenhouses gases in our atmosphere, yet we witness global cooling? cmon man, research it and learn instead of making outlandish claims like ‘climate change’ scientest, whos pay checks and funding have increased by 10 fold over the last 10 years, not to mention the ICC ‘bush’ like stance to anyone who opposes their theory, including the removal of critical data and fact from many of their so called ‘climate change reports’ which continually debunks this rediculous theory, forcing many scientest to distance themselves from this cowboy organization who claim to have the ‘inrefutible evidence’ that co2 causes climate change from the ICC’s ‘top 2500 scientest in the world’. HALF OF THE ICC’S 2500 ‘TOP SCIENTESTS’ IS GOVERNMENT REGULATORS AND LOBBYIST, THEY HAVE NO CLUE WITH SCIENCE, JUST THE PROFITS THEY MAKE BY MAKING OUTLANDISH CLAIMS. In fact once agian we are starting to see a new cycle of a cooling period, as seen by which will be one of the coldest northern winters in a long time, and just like the regular cycles that have operated in tandem for the last 10000 years, it will likely last around 30-40 years before we see a another warming trend. Interesting to note that some 8000 years ago we had co2 levels some 5 times what they are now, yet temperature and climate was almost indentical. Think about it moron, do you really think man has the ability to regulate weather? co2 is a gas needed for surivival, throughout history it has been at levels 10 times what we have now, and never any problems, and half of what we have now, and never any problems. Considering the history of our planet, we actually have relatively little co2 in our atmosphere compared to much of our planets time. The next time you think co2 has anything to do with climate regulation, look up into the sky and ask yourself; what is it that everything depends on for life, is the greatest force known to man, and has the ability to regulate weather from what it emits? Yes you fool, it is magnetic fields in the suns solar radiation outputs that regulate weather, aka-sunspots, dont beleive me? Than research it genius and learn something in your life, before you become a lemming like every other mass media that simply believes what they are told, instead of finding out for themselves. Climate change is the most unscientifically based conspiracy to ever hit the field of science, and is being pushed on a large majority of the science community who are continually ignored, and regard climate change in a similar fashion to ‘intelligent design’, and when they oposed climate change, they are chastised by crazys like yourself and mass profiteers who continiously ignore basic scientific facts. Just like every other political tool, climate change is beyond reason, and has now turned into a cult. save our trees, save our animals, save our enviroment. but cliamte change?
