Time and again we’ve heard about the lost jobs and economic impact of failing to bail out the beleaguered American auto manufacturers. But little mention has been made of the consequences of going through with the bailout, and how such an action would be viewed by other Americans.
In an interview following a Dec. 10 press conference where he and four other senators aired their opposition to the proposed bailout deal struck by congressional leaders and the White House (and approved by the U.S. House of Representatives 237-170 that evening), Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., warned that the perception that some industries are being bailed out and some aren’t could lead to violence.
“We’re going to have riots. There are already people rioting because they’re losing their jobs when everybody else is being bailed out. The fairness of it becomes more and more evident as we go along. The auto companies may be hurting,” he said, but “there are very few companies that aren’t hurting and they’re going to hurt. We don’t have enough money to bail everyone out.”
DeMint went as far as to say that General Motors (NYSE:GM), one of the big three auto manufacturers lobbying for bailout money, was better off than the nation that’s debating whether to rescue it..
“If you look at where we’re going, we’re not on a sustainable course as a country,” DeMint said. “Frankly, GM is in a better financial situation than we are as a country. The only difference is we can print money. But as other countries around the world lose confidence in the value of a dollar – that’s going to come home very shortly.”

I myself will never rest until every god-damn politician is hung with the entrails of every priest in this country and when I see Prick Cheney and Whore He Boosh bent over in a maximum prison facility. Only then will I rest because my family has sacrificed more than any of these limp-wrist parasites will ever know or understand. Too much blood, sweat and tears have been spilled because of the decisions made by these treasonous bastards. And God help them if they think they will not have to answer for their demented, perverted behaviors and plans.

The United States economy is not viable.
The nation itself is bankrupt. How do these political half-wits expect to bail-out bankrupt industries when they are bankrupt, themselves?
Your economy is being looted by bankers, politicians and corrupt corporate lords. It will never be viable as long as you let them steal from you.
You are being taken from a ride. Your hard-earned money is being stolen from you and most American’s don’t even comprehend how it is happening. Worst of all, our children and grandchildren are facing terrible times if we let this continue.
All we need to do to unseat our rulers is stop using their money. When we switch to an alternative currency their system will fall. The central banks will dissolve and their political actors will be out of a job.
Click the link below to explore a new inflation-proof currency, new economic format and new social structure that leaves the criminal bankers and corrupt politicians out of the picture altogether.

@3 Rich
I agree, they seem to want riots and civil unrest to develop. Once that occurs, they can bring in the veterans from Iraq and other thugs like Blackwater to begin cracking some heads. That’s when the fun will begin if the people then decide to resist en masse. One thing that would greatly improve our chances would be if television as a whole was being turned off. When the corporate swine and their whores in the media can no longer peddle their lies and brainwash the masses, it will crumble.
December 11th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
they weren’t worried about riots when they decided to bail out the rich bankers…I thing the bankers are just too greedy to LOAN the money to the Auto industry…becuase they want it all and they want it all now. They do want the auto industry to fail…that is the plan of eliminating the middle class Riots?…yes that too plays right into their hands.

This is more of the same short term thinking that got the Big3 in trouble to begin with.
They tried to buff up the bottom line by deferring salary towards retirement and health care, now it’s time to pay the piper. The genius MBA’s that got them in this state are all gone enjying their seven figure retirements.
But now, they will get bailed out. In return the government will appoint a “car czar” that will micromanage the companies into the ground. The Democrats will likely be in for the next 8 years maybe more. By the time the dems get done with the big 3 they will be the laughing stock of the world. Imagine a car designed by Joan Claybrook and Ralph Nader!
By the time they figure out whats happening the Big 3 will be making pedal powered politically correct Trabants made of recycled cardboard. the the Government will force everyone to buy one.
The said part is the group in charge now actually knows something about making cars but the damage done by years of Harvard MBA’s may never be able to be repairs, and it certainly will not if the government gets involved. just thing, once they get a taste, they will set their sights on local the factories of Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, BMW and VW, who will just pick up and move out if the Feds start meddling i their business or even take steps to disadvantage them so they won’t lose on their “investment”
They need to take the hit now by chapter 11 or some other way so they will come out of it in a stronger position.
The bailout is NOT good for the Big 3. It will destroy the automobile manufacturing sector of the country.
There is just no good end to the bailout.
See you in the camps….
December 11th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Yes there will be riots for 2 reasons. One being the economic bail out but the other will be due to Mr. Obama failing to become president due to his birth having been in Kenya.
Mr. Bush will declare Marshall Law, the election void and will “have to stay in charge” putting all dissidents into the concentration camps already built by Haliburpton.
They can be guarded by Blackwetwater or the Natural Guard.

China must be frothing at the mouth with the notion that they will be the new owners of the American auto industry.
December 11th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
The big 2.5 still make cars people want, their called trucks. People want trucks, plan and simple. Demint is a moron along with the other southern transplant senators. Demint will have worse riots of 3 million people lost jobs. That is just stupid.
Why are we in this position. Inflation. Gas prices went up until summer even though the US started recession last December of 2007. The speculators run it up and made billions while Bushie was still in office and they knew they could. How can commodities go up with demand going down from December of last year? It go’s against basic economics.
Why are people defaulting on mortgages? The cost of living cut to much disposable income while wages are stagnant. Then people can’t pay mortgages. Thats the big secret we never hear. We always hear its fannie or freddie, the community reinvestment act, people who don’t deserve a mortgage. NO, NO, NO. Its commodity inflation that drove the housing market into the gutter and Hedge Funds speculating on oil that drove the economy into the ground. Then what do wee do? Bail out the guilty parties.
If anyone can remember, we had the same situation as now in the 1970s from Vietnam War hangover only not the massive market manipulation because Glass-Stegall was still in place and 401ks hadn’t falsely inflated the stock market yet.. Remember Nixon’s frozen dollar? Wage and price freezes? Fords WIN buttons?
War does this to an economy, especially when you try to have prosperity at the same time as fighting a war.
First time poster here, may be the last who knows. Have a good one. I like Alex Jones stuff.

No matter what is done there will be no riots. The American people will not let down the RICH they worship. The American people truly believe that if they lick the RICH enough they will be allowed to join the club. They will never rise above this belief because their entire reason to be is based on this. The RICH must be saved and nourished so that their crumbs can fall on the average American or TRICKLE DOWN on their little souls. No one in this country will ever revolt against them on the scale deserved because the average person is afraid of them and this is the TRUTH.

ROFLMAO there will be no riots for a auto bailout. If there were to be riots it would’ve happened with the 700 billion not 15 billion! Unbelievable.

“ROFLMAO there will be no riots for a auto bailout. If there were to be riots it would’ve happened with the 700 billion not 15 billion! Unbelievable.”
It would’ve also happened when they raised the 700 billion to 8 Trillion after it passed!
December 11th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
What he means by there will be riots. He said that because they will bailout the big 3 and the workers will still lose their jobs, because the big 3 will still fail and everyone will lose their jobs, then you will really see riots in the streets. Also other people in other industries are losing their jobs and the feds are not bailing them out, you forget that there is around 500,000 a month worth of workers who have and still are loosing their jobs as we speak and the dumbass feds cant and wont bail them out. So you are going to get a bunch of pissed off people who may riot, if they have enough in them they just may stand up to them this time.
December 11th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
Last time, I heard it was a loan that the automakers were being given; not a bailout. I see the Republicans stance on the automakers as a kick-in the teeth to the american worker and taxpayer just to debunk the auto workers union. Toyota and the foreign car companies have been countless state and local tax incentives and bailouts too. I am not championing unions because they have their cronies and corruption too. But for Gods sake, this is 3 million plus jobs — I am in Florida and we have a large car parts distributor that has sales reps – laid off and countless auto dealership businesses that do training meetings and sales recap dinners and annual conventions business all gone for the hotel industry because they cannot sell cars because nobody can get a loan- even folks with great credit scores. Yet, the 700 billion bailout – we have no clue-where that went and AIG will be back for more because they are connected and CITI is going to blow again. I don’t see any of our millionaire elected officials standing up and saying — I’ll give my salary back to help some of my constituents that are on the verge of being out in the street and in bread lines – Democrat or Republican. TERM LIMITS are necessary.
December 11th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
They always talk about how there isn’t enough money to bail them all out. But then they’ll turn around and give something like 3 billion to Mexico so they can supposedly fight drug dealers…or give Iraq’s gov like 3 trillion for upkeep. Sounds pretty dumb when you have our own industries on the fritz that keep us employed
December 11th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
how is the bailout going to help the BROKE 3 if no one else is buying
their vehicles? If they can’t sell their product, how many years are going to pay these
people full wages to stay at home?? it would be cheaper to put them on unemployment
like the rest of the people are on that have lost their jobs. No one bailed out the Manufacturing workers in NC as the textiles went to foreign countries. Hell we didn’t even
cry for help, we stuck to our roots, thanked God for the years we were blessed and learned other trades or other type of work. You expect us hard working people to finance your
lazy butts for the rest of your life. Grow up, you can’t live on fantasy island forever.
(by the way, i own a Volvo, Honda and a Toyota, my 4 Runner came from JAPAN, i special
ordered it back in 2001, the Honda is the only one that was Made in the USA and guess
what… it is a 2000 Accord, and it currently has its 3rd Transmission in it, every two years
the transmission has died) My 4 runner and Volvo have never had any problems, and they
were not made here.
They should bankrupt and hire employees that will work for $15 an hour and pay half of their health insurance like most normal have to deal with. Or just open up factories in NC, our folks here would gladly work for $15 an hour and we don’t have unions down here.
And we don’t make JUNK down here.
December 11th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Oh my, this will effefect Mexico and Canada drasticly! rember the majority of the auto work has been moved out of our united states. OUR auto workers would better off if the big 3 went tit’s up. T he flood gates would be wide open for real, efficient auto companies to swoop in and grab a trained work force to make reliable-affordable auto’s. Clean house and open the front door let new autos roll.
December 11th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Riot my ass. Clearly this retard over estimates the spirit of this country. Or maybe he just wishing and wants the tanks to roll. Or maybe he does want us to rise up. How many times now have we heard words like this come from the mouths of the talkingheads in Washington? Americans dont have the F**king guts to take it to the streets. What? Because the big three get some LOANS. Why, they, the SHEEP DIP SHEEPLE have sat on their hands while the whole damn country has been looted by the Greenspans, Paulsons, Bernanke, JP Morgans, ect. ect. ect. of the world with the blessing of a coward Congress and Senate, and done nothing. What a bunch of chicken shits. The bailed banks now buy the mortgage notes on the homes to the nations people so now the banks own the country but thats OK?? Is he insane? The people in Iceland and Greece had the guts to at least make some kind of disturbance. Not here. What.?? Now, the people are magically going to be angered by the idea that the industrial base of the nation which was sold out by the Legislators and the President through GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA, and there will be riots in the streets. Nope. They’ll be at home shivering in their shorts, worried about the manipulated stock market and their 401K, but not worried enough to go withdraw their money all on the same day (run the banks). What a bunch of gutless wonders. You deserve what you get. Mark my words it will be a swift kick in the ass. But probably still wont be enough to wake you stupid coward f**ks up. By a rifle or stay out of the way. I hope there are riots in the streets. Seems that Mr DeMint (or is that Dim Witt) thinks it’s perfectly fine to bail the banks, his campaign contributors but not the auto industry (with which who’s help we won WWII) and his lame ass does not now speak German. Hey, Dim Witt, you a piece of goat shit, DUCK. Gonna riot.
Show me.
Show me.
Show me.
Show me.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
People will not riot until they are starving. The great famine of 2009 is coming. ARE YOU READY FOR IT? You better have enough food to eat until harvest season 2009. And you better have heirloom seeds to plant this Spring so that you will HAVE a harvest. Big John has the best deal going.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
You would think that if Americans were going to stand up for themselves they would have done it by now, a revolution should have started long ago. The fact of the matter is that the American people are so far gone, so heavily brainwashed and controlled by the media that the idea of such actions are not considered to be a possibility. In my opinion, there will only be one action that will force Americans to stand up for their rights…. When their guns are taken away, That will be the moment of change!
December 11th, 2008 at 9:43 pm
what world do these traitors live in.
fk the banks, bail out the auto industry.
they give us jobs and are the back bone to america.
the banks are crooks and should all fail and be tossed into the sea.
December 11th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
We’ve spent trillions on helping rich bankers. Perhaps all of the debate about a relatively small event is meant to distract us from the carnage happening by printing trillions of new dollars. I don’t believe anyone is going to riot over helping the auto industry. We are on the threshold of oblivion. Unless something changes, we are entering into a period of severe judgment. “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” (Psalms 9:17) The root cause of our problem is not financial, but spiritual. We have many elected officials that are corrupt and appear incapable of taking action to insure our nation survives. The boat is sinking, and most of those in power don’t want to rock it. It’s time to speak the truth. We are staring at a growing national disaster.
December 11th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Don’t bail the Bastards out , let them go broke or start produceing cars that people will buy
December 11th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
These banksters don’t have to answer to Washington. The question then is who is in charge here. Looks like the bankers are doing as they wish so are they going to own the big 3 now. They own the govenrment now. What is going on here? I think they are seriously trying to piss us off in a bad way. They are provoking this . just a matter of time. Where I live in Ohio there are people getting laid off every other day. They are shuting this whole area down and everyone is talking bout it. Alot of auto type manufacturing here and other things to but I’m in shock cause I’ve been hearing bout it for 2 years and here it is. The average uninformed person is stocking up now . What the H
December 11th, 2008 at 10:22 pm
Banker bailout, automaker bailout, where the hell is the people’s bailout? I can barely afford to feed myself now, much less feed them greedy basterds
REVOLUTION CALLING!
December 11th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
I am reserving any judgement on the bridge loan, I’m not sure whether is would have any long term affect on these companies. What makes me wonder, though, is the reaction of working people saying that union workers should be paid a lot less – “like us”. I think the real story is the downward push on wages here in the u.s. Unions, after all, are a collection of workers banding together to bargain for wages and benefits. It’s the only power workers have here. If the auto workers go to $15.00 an hours, your job will be worth less. Perhaps you do not like unions, what, then is your alternative way to make wages reflect the reality of your work, your worth?
December 11th, 2008 at 11:24 pm
If he is correct we should have NEVER bailed the bankers out in the first place. We have privatized the profits and socialized the losses of exploitation and greed. Every single American could have been very comfortable for the rest of their lives if that money had been divided up and given to the PEOPLE instead of to the bankers, and we’d still have an economy. As it is they have sucked off all the wealth and let us deal with the catastrophe, and STILL withhold credit. Yes, there will probably be riots and revolution, and that will still occur even though they aren’t going to help the auto industry. When people have to watch their children go hungry, their mood will get very, very ugly.
December 11th, 2008 at 11:33 pm
It may take more than canceling the Superbowl. More like, canceling “Dancing with the Stars” or Dunkin’ Donuts going under. I don’t what else it could take to get the majority of fat Americans off their apathetic over-sized arses and take action.
December 11th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
Enough is enough, it seems as though there will never be an end to bailing out all of these weathly companies. We as American’s need to wake up and start spreading the word to everyone, even if they chose not to hear our voices. Come time for elections I hope that the American people remember what our Congress, Senate and especially what our old and new President did for us. I hope that people wake up before it is too late..NO MORE BAIL OUTS!!!!

The bailout for the car companies is a no win situation and I can sympathize with both sides. What I can not get along with is the way our elected officials are handling this. They are completely biased when it comes to the bailout funds. They made the car companies jump through hoops to get help and after they did it still wasn’t good enough, but when the banks needed help they just handed the money over without asking for proof that these banks were really in trouble or even why these banks are in trouble. We now know though, that the banker bailouts were a scam, because at the same time they were asking for money they were donating millions to presidential campains and giving big bonuses to company presidents and managers. In my world company managers do not get bonuses if the company doesn’t make money. So, we are only left to conclude that the bailout was for only one reason to ripoff the American people. The question is what do we do about it? I know all of you including myself are extremely angered by all the evil that is being heaped upon us, but violence is not the answer. Being violent would give them the reason they have been looking for to declare marshall law. The only way to win this fight is with knowledge and resistance. We have to stop going along to get along. No matter how hard things get we can not give in. If a law is unconstitutional, it must not be followed. Do not let them divide us, we must all stand together and resist them together. This is the only way we will win and get our country back.
December 12th, 2008 at 1:45 am
Its time…
December 12th, 2008 at 2:32 am
I’d like to know whats going to happen once the auto bailout goes through and they produce a years worth of vehicles. If we’re still in recession, who’s going to buy them all? We already have literally hundreds of acres of unsold domestic vehicles not counting those on public dealership lots. Who’s going to buy all the aftermarket seat covers and brake pads?
Is everyone in America going to get a free car out of the deal, will they be crushed and recycled to make another years worth, or will they all be sold to some magical kingdom not suffering the effects of our global recession?
I was in manufacturing, I lost my job, and I would like to hear less bailout talk and more investment strategy for long term stability and industry growth. It pisses me off because I’ve seen this coming for a long time. Too much dead weight, too much complacency, too comfortable with incompetence, and when the free ride starts coming to an end corporate looks to government for a welfare check.
If your business is so unprofitable it cannot float for a couple months without government assistance, or qualify for a bank loan, then piss off and let it go under. It wouldn’t have happened if they focused on margins, innovation and quality improvement. One may also consider that the big 3 may actually want the North American plants to close because the plants in South America and Europe are cheaper and more efficient. Who knows, who cares, fuck it.
December 12th, 2008 at 3:22 am
Here’s an idea for you, Detroit: Since you have been in bed with and colluded with Big Oil every since you have been in existence to keep any viable option of an energy saving vehicle OFF of the road – oh you know – all those 100 MPG carbuerators and alternative energy sources –
THEN GET BIG F^CKING OIL TO BAIL YOUR SORRY ASSES OUT OF THIS JAM YOU PUT YOURSELF IN. They’ve got PLENTY of money because they have been raping the rest of us with you as a co-conspirator for the last 100 years. I personally don’t give a shit WHAT happens to you, Detroit. You’ve had it coming for a LONG tiime.
December 12th, 2008 at 4:36 am
One may also consider that the big 3 may actually want the North American plants to close because the plants in South America and Europe are cheaper and more efficient.
by jove i think you nailed it.
why anyone would actually want to buy a current american made car is beyond me.
if on the other hand, they were still making cars as cool as back in the 60’s and 70’s, then america might still be a half functioning economy.
December 12th, 2008 at 6:44 am
rewarding failure….it’s the Neo-American way!
December 12th, 2008 at 7:16 am
Riots if we bail out the auto makers? Yeah, just like we rioted when they bailed out the banks. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
December 12th, 2008 at 7:40 am
Most of you on here are dumb asses and do not understand that if the big three goes under it will affect your job..no super power can stay a super power without a strong industrial base.
so keep buying garbage products from communist china you un-American traders and have our domestic auto companies be replace by a country who attacked pearl harbor…i understand now why the term….American idiot was coined..
December 12th, 2008 at 7:58 am
THIS WONT AFFECT MY JOB.. as I was layed off shortly after they bailed out wall street and Obama became the pres elect (and was the day before thanksgiving)! Dont any of you people understand that it doesn’t matter who they bail out.. it isn’t going to change shit. You’re still going to have lay-offs and the economy is still going down the tubes and food prices will still be on the rise and who gives a shit about gas anymore? There aren’t any jobs to go to interviews for… who the hell needs gas? The ceos are getting bailed out faster than the assholes at unemployment are processing my claim!! I will have to give it to the food stamp crew though.. unfortunatly food stamp card wont pay my rent/utilities etc. Let the friggin chips fall where they may at this point. I’m ready because I have no choice. Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.. you’ll feel it also.

I think that this thinking is the complete illustration of an American idiot. The only reason Japanese cars have been and will be in more demand than their domestic counter-parts is because they are designed more efficiently, cheaply, and they last longer. Innovation has been stifled at home because of these big three. I say let them fall, and let them fall hard, whatever the consequences might be and make sure the greedy CEOs that have continued to practice bad business policies go under with their businesses. We should have done the same with the banks. I don’t think the printing presses can keep up with this mess, and it won’t be long before we’ll be using our money for the toilet paper we can’t buy at the store. Our country is being liquidated and you’re a piece of the assets that are getting sold off.
December 12th, 2008 at 8:20 am
HEY JENNY B, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS? WE HAVEN’T BEEN AN INDUSTRIAL BASED SUPER POWER IN YEARS. WE HAVE BEEN MADE INTO A SERVICE BASED ECONOMY (SLAVE ECONOMY) YEARS AGO. DO YOU KNOW THAT ALL OF THE COMPANIES THAT HAVE RECIEVED BAILOUT MONIES CONTINUE TO PAY OUY MILLION DOLLAR BONUSES TO THE “DUMB ASSES” WHO START THIS MESS. ON AVERAGE EACH COMPANY HAS PAID OUT 20 MILLION IN BONUSES TO THE SAME IDIOTS THAT GOT THEM INTO TROUBLE IN THE FIRST PLACE! WE MAY SUFFER FOR A WHILE BUT WE WILL COME MUCH STRONGER FOR IT. BY THE WAY, IAM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHOSE JOB IS ON THE LINE!
December 12th, 2008 at 8:32 am
sorry jenny b but we did know japan was going to attack pearl harbor and the same people that are bailing out your beloved auto companies are the same people who let pearl harbor be attacked….so right back at you american idiot
December 12th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Hey Jenny B, where have you been these last few decades? America is no longer a strong industrial base, hasn’t been for a long while. Heck, it’s no longer anything other than consumers spending monopoly money thinking they are rich. When other countries realize the ponzi scheme as many are now, they will no longer accept dollars. Your greenbacks will be worth zilch. Even if you can find a job, your pay will barely cover living expenses. Face it Jenny, you have been living a farce, a false American dream created by the criminal bankers. Your illusion of wealth is just that, smoke & mirrors. Sorry to break the bad news to you, but someone has to sooner or later.

Well, the ‘Walking Dead Three’ may get their hand-out after all. Seems Decider Guy is going to funnel money set aside for TARP and use that to allow the auto makers to keep making cars for people that cannot obtain credit, have no job or are losing their job, and are losing their homes in record numbers not seen since the Great Depression.
Rioting? Not too far fetched when people are being forced to survive while the non-skilled labour at the auto plants will get to continue their bad habits while living their decadent lives at over 30 bucks an hour. But that will be temporary. More bailout money will be necessary and much sooner in a scant few months.

how is the bailout going to help the BROKE 3 if no one else is buying
their vehicles?
Insult all u want but the yen is the strongest currency right now. we dont hav labor unions, we take pride in our work. Detroit mentality is sick. I love the real people in NC and i cant stand the fake idiots that move here from up north and they try to demand stuff. so many union people have no honor or appreciation for their employer.

Listen up Americans… Congress debating the Big 3 bail-out is a side-show!
Remember — the Banksters are making off with TRILLIONS!!! ($8.4 and counting!)

I see just as many imports on the side of the road as domestics, only difference up until recently the import did not have to or choose to release recall information.By the way if you noticed the corporate
greed lately, it will only get worse quicker without the union barrier. I’m not saying the union have done the best job all the time but the lower union wages go the lower non union wages go. Think about it if gm union employees make 15 an hour its no way parts plants will continue to pay 15!

If you loose your job, you go on unemployment. Employers pay the tax that pays the unemployed. However, if you do not find a job soon enough, you are no longer counted as unemployed. Or, you can take a job that you really do not want. Corporate America goes on. Government goes on.
If you are not able to pay your auto loan, your auto is repossessed.
If you are not able to pay your mortgage, you go into foreclosure. If you still are not able to pay your mortgage, you are kicked out of your house. All those years you made your mortgage payment, you also paid PMI — Private Mortgage Insurance.
PMI is paid by you in case you foreclose on your mortgage. So, who benefits from PMI? The banks! Yes, you pay the insurance for the bank in case you default on your loan. PMI is insurance for the bank. Its to cover them in case you fault. So, banks are covered, banks go on, America goes on.
You loose half your portfolio due to down market. You take your loose as bad news, but you take it. It was a gamble, it is a truth in playing the market. You take the looses with the wins.
So, … how come banks seem to not be able to fail? How come its fine for people to loose their jobs, their autos, their houses, their saving, BUT banks are somehow NOT allowed to loose anything?!
All the while, Congress is making sure to sign over the government to the banks, then leave us to pay the bills. All to banks that should have been allowed to go under. A failed business is just that.
A lot of good people work for auto companies. However, these are the same auto companies who have ALWAYS looked for a QUICK FIX while being fundamentally ran into the ground.
1. Big 3 could not compete with Japanese vehicles in the 70’s and 80’s so they lobbied Congress to impose tariffs.
2. Japanese got smart and built factories inside US to get around tariffs. Big 3 still could not compete.
3. So, Big 3 lobbied Congress to pass NAFTA to build autos in Mexico and Canada.
4. Popularity of SUV’s “save” Big 3 since they are a “quick fix” by having large margins. However, with all the corporate welfare that taxpayers spend for Dept of Energy grants to Big 3 to innovate better gas mileage, Big 3 just blow grant money … and smoke.
5. Japanese develop and build hybrid cars. Big 3 laugh. Along comes $4/gallon gasoline! Big 3 fail.
Well, the price of gas may have dropped back down to $1.50/gallon, but the damage is done. All the while, all the capital that was thrown at pretty much any company who asked has dried up. The Big 3 could have and should have got a hold of and spend this money on developing better products, but they did not.
So, we’re now at #6.
6. Big 3 continue to complain that ALL problems are due to workers wanting health care benefits.
Always looking for a QUICK FIX and NEVER keeping their eye on the ball. Attention Detroit: read the book by MIT “The Machine That Changed the World” to get a better idea of why you are FAILING FORWARD.

Wow you mean the people might rise up? They want us to ride up. They are DROOLING on us to rise up, they are taunting us to rise up.
The way to do it to take your local BofA down..Take it down Nationwide. Demand our money back.
That or JUST QUIT PAYING TAXES YOU SHEEPLE…DONT PAY TAXES
December 12th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Also, there is no money to bail them out,t hey already took all our money and hev forbid they spend thier own loot on a failing business when the can scoop it up for nothing in 6 months.
The poor people of Detroit are going to have a cold winter and those guys will do nothing about it but cry to Obama with their hands out.
December 13th, 2008 at 11:43 am
If were going to have any chance to save this country we need to spark a grass roots movement and begin turning people to our side.
The country is in turmoil and I believe more people will be receptive to a pro-freedom message. I know we just elected a communist but according to a recent poll 36% of Obama voters thought Sara Palin was Obama’s running mate. In other words they are fools.
So lets take advantage of the turmoil and use it for our benefit!
JPFO has a free video called “2A today for the USA”
http://www.jpfo.org/filegen-a-.....wnload.htm
What if we blanket the internet with this video for a start?
You guys are geniuses so finding a way to make this work shouldn’t be a problem, so spread the word!

Hey Alex why aren’t you mentioning anything about the west coast bank bombing on Friday the 13th. Isn’t 13 their number? Hal Turner said this is like the “shot heard around the world” as in the beginning of the American Revolution. I don’t see anything on CNN here where I live overseas nor anything on your site although a policeman was killed and two others seriously injured from the blast inside the bank where they had brought the bomb from outside the bank to inspect it. How dumb was that. So Alex my friend, why are you silent on this? I can understand the neocon media not wanting to report the story but you are not a neocon, right?

What a crock. The assembly line workers did not create the mess the big 3 are in.
The executives created this mess.
Just another scam to bust the unions and go back to slave wages.
