Gore: U.S. Climate Bill Will Help Bring About ‘Global Governance’

Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance.”
“I bring you good news from the U.S., “Gore said on July 7, 2009 in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by UK Times.
“Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.” President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the Earth’s temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.
Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it “will dramatically increase the prospects for success” in combating what he sees as the “crisis” of man-made global warming.
“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.” (Editor’s Note: Gore makes the “global governance” comment at the 1min. 10 sec. mark in this UK Times video.)
Gore’s call for “global governance” echoes former French President Jacques Chirac’s call in 2000.
On November 20, 2000, then French President Chirac said during a speech at The Hague that the UN’s Kyoto Protocol represented “the first component of an authentic global governance.”
“For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance,” Chirac explained. “From the very earliest age, we should make environmental awareness a major theme of education and a major theme of political debate, until respect for the environment comes to be as fundamental as safeguarding our rights and freedoms. By acting together, by building this unprecedented instrument, the first component of an authentic global governance, we are working for dialogue and peace,” Chirac added.

Former EU Environment Minister Margot Wallstrom said, “Kyoto is about the economy, about leveling the playing field for big businesses worldwide.” Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Harper once dismissed UN’s Kyoto Protocol as a “socialist scheme.”
‘Global Carbon Tax’ Urged at UN Meeting
In addition, calls for a global carbon tax have been urged at recent UN global warming conferences. In December 2007, the UN climate conference in Bali, urged the adoption of a global carbon tax that would represent “a global burden sharing system, fair, with solidarity, and legally binding to all nations.”
“Finally someone will pay for these [climate related] costs,” Othmar Schwank, a global tax advocate, said at the 2007 UN conference after a panel titled “A Global CO2 Tax.”
Schwank noted that wealthy nations like the U.S. would bear the biggest burden based on the “polluters pay principle.” The U.S. and other wealthy nations need to “contribute significantly more to this global fund,” Schwank explained. He also added, “It is very essential to tax coal.”
The 2007 UN conference was presented with a report from the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment titled “Global Solidarity in Financing Adaptation.” The report stated there was an “urgent need” for a global tax in order for “damages [from climate change] to be kept from growing to truly catastrophic levels, especially in vulnerable countries of the developing world.”
The tens of billions of dollars per year generated by a global tax would “flow into a global Multilateral Adaptation Fund” to help nations cope with global warming, according to the report.
Schwank said a global carbon dioxide tax is an idea long overdue that is urgently needed to establish “a funding scheme which generates the resources required to address the dimension of challenge with regard to climate change costs.”
‘Redistribution of wealth’
The environmental group Friends of the Earth advocated the transfer of money from rich to poor nations during the 2007 UN climate conference.
“A climate change response must have at its heart a redistribution of wealth and resources,” said Emma Brindal, a climate justice campaigner coordinator for Friends of the Earth.

“Climate Change” must be “code” for Peak Oil and Peak Natural Gas, espoused by those in science and industry but never by governments and the major media.
Why?
Because the international elite already have acheived and maintained a “global governance” decades ago via global finance and capitalism, that allowed them to quietly rule most of the planet. Why fix something that isn’t broke – unless they already anticipate it breaking?
A decline in hydrocarbon energy production would threaten that system, hence the apparent radical global changes in “business as usual” proposed by the global elite. They seem to fear losing control during this transition, which would explain their new focus on control of the public.
Elitist proposals for the creation of “clean” energy is not about reducing carbon generation, its apparently aimed at replacing vanishing hydrocarbon energy.

On the one hand, he has the right to talk about any matter he wishes, but on the other, he cannot take action to install a world government. That is treason. Their is a clear case against him. I do not know that Kool Pres Obam has done things because I find them on the Obama change web site. Oh here it is. Obama is liberating the Afganistan women so they can become voters in America. It says here that Sonya Sotamayor is going to do something (lots of legal talk) to make them citizens and then they can mail in their votes from Afghanastan. You know like Hugo Chavez helped out the vote in Honduras.
As for the Patriot act I beleive it was very generous of him to reach across the isle to you patriots on this website and extend you rights. Well that is what is says here on Obamas change Web site. Global governance was passed in May 1974 when the UN passed the ONE WORLD ECONOMIC ORDER that has tied all the world’s economies together, but they don’t want any of us to know that or to even look under the hood of Resolution 3201 and 3202 and Duties and Rights of member states, nor all the updates to this resolution since which is about a foot deep of paper if you printed it all out. Environment preservation/protection/sustenance these are good things, but when they put price on the carbon, it’s a whole different story. They want to torture people further with all these taxes.
If they are really serious, then new renewable sources of energy will deal with the high emissions.
Why not spend money in renewable energy so that renewable energy becomes affordable and readily available, instead of giving trillions of dollars to the banksters.

There is no shortage of oil period. That is another Rockefeller CFR/Trilateral Commission lie that keeps oil prices high with the illegal OPEC cartel. There is so much crude oil out there that if it was not kept off the market gasoline would be 25 cents a gallon again. Rockefeller made all his money keeping oil prices high because the oil market had crashed in the late 1800’s due to a glut of crude oil.
Global Warming is a global fraud. Climatologist Joe D’Aleo of the International Climate and Environmental Change Assessment Project says new data “show that in five of the last seven decades since World War II, including this one, global temperatures have cooled while carbon dioxide has continued to rise.”
And two more studies – one by the Leibniz Institute of Marine Science and the Max Planck Institute of Meteorology in Germany and another by the University of Wisconsin – predict a slowing, or even a reversal of warming, for at least the next 10 to 20 years.
“The most recent global warming that began in 1977 is over, and the Earth has entered a new phase of global cooling,” says Don Easterbrook, professor of geology at Western Washington University in Bellingham.
He maintains that a switch in Pacific Ocean currents “assures about three decades of global cooling. New solar data showing unusual absence of sun spots and changes in the sun’s magnetic field suggest … the present episode of global cooling may be more severe than the cooling of 1945 to 1977.”
They are in a hurry to pass this idiotic legislation before they have to start yelling about Global Cooling and the growing ice in the Antarctic like they did in the 1970’s.
