An Infowars reader has passed along an email sent to VFW commanders by the Assistant Adjutant of the Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars indicating the U.S. Army TACOM (Tactical Army Command) is demanding an inventory of all weapons held by VFW posts.

| Email sent to VFW commanders Inventory form |
|
“While you may have had possession of this equipment for 20, 40, 60 or 100 years,” the email states, “it still belongs to the U.S. Military.”
The email arrived with an inventory attachment where all weapons are to be listed and the document sent to the Department of Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars. “This form will then be bounced off of the central database of all Texas VFW Posts at U.S. Army TACOM to verify serial numbers of each item that has been issued. This is a very extensive list and goes back to before the VFW was founded. So if you have a cannon from the Spanish-American War — it’s on the list.”
Many VFW halls around the country have decommissioned military weapons on their properties along with uniforms, statues and flags from every era. It is a common practice for VFW honor guard units to use M-1 rifles made into blank firing devices for salutes at parades and funerals. Weapons held by VFW posts are generally kept under lock and key in storage rooms.
TACOM is not simply interested in blank firing devices and antique rifles and pistols, however. “Weapons and Equipment consist of but is not limited to, Rifles, Pistols, Mortars, Artillery, Tanks, Vehicles, Aircraft, Missiles, Aircraft Carriers (sic), etc, from any period.”
According to the email, any attempt “hide” the items will be dealt with severely. “Please do not try and hide this as all weapons and equipment not accounted for will be reported to the FBI and BATF as stolen military equipment,” writes Dan West, retired Sgt. USMC. “I am hopeful that I need not remind anyone of the severity of punishment that can be administered or the legal bills resulting from individuals or elected officers of the Post having possession of stolen military weapons.”
The inventory of weapons at VFW posts is further evidence the government does not trust veterans, even with antiquated and non-functioning military equipment used primarily for display and historical purposes.
Last month the government took the unprecedented step of requiring soldiers at Fort Campbell in Kentucky to disclose all of their privately owned weapons and gun licenses.
“Military officials insist the policy is not connected to a recent controversial Department of Homeland Security report that warned disgruntled veterans could pose a national security threat. Rather, the inventory of private guns is aimed at stemming what the Army claims is an increasing number of accidental discharges by gun-toting soldiers,” NewsMax reported on May 5. WorldNetDaily reported that Fort Bliss in Texas had informed soldiers who live off the premises to provide descriptions, serial numbers, calibers, makes and models of any of the guns they own privately.

The rights we have to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are NOT granted by government. These are natural rights, for all humans. These rights were noted in our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. NO ONE CAN TAKE THESE RIGHTS. It’s true that various factions try to ignore these rights, and to destroy them, ie bush. cheney, pelosi, and some of you think obama.
I hate guns, but I love the 2nd Amendment. That’s a paradox, but that’s the way we live in this country. People who have guns assume responsibility for the weapons, to be safe with them, to teach gun safety to kids, etc.
Even if bush co/and/or obama try to destroy the Constitution, the rights and duties are still ours. Hold onto the Constitution. Keep to the high road, even as many of our “s-elected” officials are trying to see how far they can sink in the muck of treason.
We have a right and a duty to keep liberty and justice for all.
The challenge is to keep to the course of law, legally, bloodlessly, and immediately.
As for the gun inventory, this means nothing unless they start at bush’s ranch and dallas home. And someone please get cheney’s itchy finger off the nerve gas that’s located in the Tri-Cities of Washington State. These guys are like the Wicked Witch. When they are “charged” for treason and war crimes. they will try to take out as many Americans as possible.

They are not worried about all the government weapons they have ripped off, sold, etc..they want the patriotic organizations to submit, turn in the old crap they were given, then tell the members to turn in their weapons also, and I know as a life member in 3 veterans organizations, they will do it, because they are basically asleep, and still swilling the BS, and the party line, and do NOT want to be controversial..I wish I had never paid the Life membership dues, as most members are REMF’s…

This is actually great news. It means that in less than a year we will likely have an opportunity to take this to the field. And in the field, we will win as people will have to make a choice. Many now don’t have the ability to make an informed choice, but hopefully another year will make the difference. Especially with the inevitable government actions to follow. Actions such as high unemployment, hunger, hyper-inflation, martial law, etc. Good times to come.

What do you do now, call the Stasi, Gestapo, NKVD or whatever American equivalent is handy and have U. S. Marine arrested, tortured, give a false “confession” “in-camera” to satisfy your bloodlust and hatred for people who prefer to just be left alone and not pillaged, poisoned, dumbed-down, oppressed, overtaxed, underpaid, and have a healthy pride for what America was created for in the first place?
If you are perusing this site, aren’t you aware of the history of Zionism? Assuming you’re not Israeli trolls (if you are I-trolls, did you have a “happy anniversary over the bombing of the U.S.S. From The Friends of Father Coughlin book, page 62:
From the American Hebrew magazine,
“Out of the economic chaos, the discontent—and it was a legitimate discontent, be it noted—of the Jew evolved organized capital, with its working instrumentality, the banking system.
“That was a great achievement—and achievement almost as great as the evolution of organized government out of the selfish operations of the barons and their super0baron. Gradually, in every country in the world, the government of the barons and the government of the Jewish banker effected an alliance that constituted up to the outbreak of the great war—and apparently still constitutes— the dual force that controls the destinies of nations and of individuals everywhere.”

THEY NEED TO GIVE ALL THIS GUN GRABBING s--- UP, …WASTING TAX MONEY…..AND THEIR TIME
——————————————————————————————————————–
In the last three months of 2008, that’s right, three months, Americans bought enough guns to outfit the Chinese and Indian armies, combined. Actually, that’s just reflective of the NICS checks, which don’t cover sales by private parties, and buys by CCW permit holders. There were also 1.5 BILLION rounds of ammo sold, which explains why I’m having trouble finding .45 ACP lately.
———————————————————————————————————————
You also bought 1,529,635,000 rounds of ammunition in just the month of December 2008. Yeah that is right, that is Billion with a “B”.
This is an evaluation of overall firearms and ammunition purchases based on low end numbers per Federal NIC instacheck data base Statistics. The numbers presented are only PART of the overall numbers of arms and ammunition that have been sold. The actual numbers are much higher.
———————————————————————————————————————-
Firearm and ammunition manufacturers paid more than $98 million in excise taxes in the fourth quarter of 2008, up 31.2 percent over the same period in 2007, according to figures released earlier today by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Excise tax collections are a key economic indicator for the industry. The taxes are calculated as a percentage of wholesale receipts, paid quarterly by firearm and ammunition manufacturers, and earmarked for state wildlife conservation and habitat restoration programs.
A total of $345.2 million was collected in excise taxes in 2008, up 13.9 percent from the $303.2 million collected the previous year. These statistics are based solely on U.S. civilian sales and do not include sales to military, police, etc.

This is proof they have plans in the works. They are scared of the uprising and they should be.
This sounds like the beginning of a mass weapons inventory so they know the location of every piece of hardware, when the time comes they will move in and (try to) confiscate all weapons.
I live in West Texas and, as everywhere else ammunition has become scarce as well.
Next they will contrive some excuse to try to take all the weapons. Then the revolution is on!

That is fact. Read articles in Armytimes.com. Since we’re under Martial Law (and it has yet to be fully and formally announced by Obama anyway), the Constitution is suspended. This is how Obama seems to be getting away with murder, literally. That fool has done more s--- in just 50 days than in the history of this country, and that’s the loophole. Since the Constitution is suspended folks, none of us has to live by it either. Some game they got going here. Make all of us think we have to go by the law which has been usurped and suspended, and only they know it. Wake up sheeple, your ass is on the line. Gone is the country as you know it. Why would the Government want to account for things from the first 2 world wars? Especially when these items were most likely written off the books many, many years ago.
In the past, when an occupation, conflict, war…whatever you want to call it ends, most weapons are destroyed or sold off so that they will not have to pay transportation costs of returning them. So this VFW Inventory makes no sense at all.

So much for the “Russian” Revolution.
And please, an athestic Jew is obviously no longer a religious Jew, but he is still a Jew as far as his nationality goes. Yes, some folks don’t know the difference. But there are those of who are educated enough to understand the difference. Is it necessary to differentiate every time the word “Jews” is used in any form of debate? Apparently so.
Yes we know that there are religious Jews who hate Zionism, but they generally live in fear of retribution, or worse, from their fellow atheistic Jews. They know what the cost of speaking our against their brethren. Decent, non-atheistic Jews are treated like 4th class citizens in Israel. And everyone should know be now that a person DOES NOT try to evangelize any Jew in Israel.
So there is nothing “knee-jerk” in wanting to espouse the truth about the continuing “revolution,” unless of course one has a vested interest in promoting, propagating and spreading the “revolution” and protecting those who fund it and relish its fruit. These people are enemies of God and the whole human race.

According to Thomas Paine in Common Sense, we are all children of Adam and Eve, and therefore all liable to make mistakes. That’s why Paine hates monarchs, who are assumed to be due “honors” just for being born into a family of “no-ability,” as Paine writes it.
That’s why any lumping of a group, such as Jews, makes no sense. All people can make mistakes, and no group of people are immune from giving in to temptation.
That’s why we have the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the “code” of behavior.
Government is a necessary evil.
Yes, it’s true that the US gives tons of money to Israel, and that many US legislators who should know better often vote to keep the money flowing for killing people. (Hillary Clinton is an example of someone who seemed to have the right idea, but her support of the Israeli assault on Palestine shows that she is not her own woman, and that she cares nothing for peace. However, to equate a person’s religion with a political movement is risky. So, to ZIONISMisnotJUDAISM, I would say you are on the right track, and thanks for your comments. Anyone who focuses on namecalling, ignoring the argument, etc, isn’t worth worrrying about.

As for dafadre; you are on the wrong side and now you are a scarred little chickencrap because you are threatened by righteous patriots who know how to take care of business and defend America from all enemies foreign and domestic (like you).
Alex Jones is one of the greatest Americans that has ever lived. The Lord has sent him as a prophet to warn the American people and the world about the coming anti-christ new world order tyranny. I ought to know – I am one of the ones who prayed for someone like him. After that the Lord told me to go get a mirror. Anyone who speaks truth to lies is a prophet.
Why don’t you all go get a mirror – look at all those prophets!
The only way anyone should turn in their guns is one bullet at a time.

Muhahahah! This country is awash in weapons and worse than that is how every single last person in this country has been conditioned by Hollywood to be a crazed killer. Personally, when I storm the castle I’m not planning on carrying a gun. I’m going to wear a hockey mask and carry a chainsaw!

Death is too good for these criminals. Make them poor where every wage they earn is liened on to pay for their theft of our finances. Make them work in force labor camps 12 hours a day,6 days a week. thats the best way I think you can truly hurt these elitists. They will beg for death, but it will never come. having to work for food and shelter wearing rags to cover their nakedness watching their misery painted on their faces is what they should endure. Until there is nothing left of them except an old withered empty shell of human existance. Til their bodies can no longer make little rocks out of big rocks, til they can barely stand on their own two feet, and they finally succumb to old age and God takes them. I feel sorry for them when they stand before Christ Jesus and be judged and have to account for all their misdeeds. I just hope while working in a hard labor camp, that they turn to,Jesus and ask for forgiveness and recieves him in their heart.

Aircraft carrier?
How precisely does one walk off with an aircraft carrier?
“Yeah, ok… So I’ve got an aircraft carrier I “borrowed” as a souvenir from Operation Desert Storm… It’s floating in my backyard pool. Makes for a great conversation piece during BBQ parties. So you want the ship number? No problem. It’s painted right there on the bow, plain as day.”
Well, this article is more than a little bit scary. The government trying to continue to track down where each and every bit of firearms are located… This is not good news.

Has anyone really thought this through? The VFW raffled off hundreds of thousands of firearms over the years. Most of these guns were donated by the military for such purposes and many of your grandfathers and uncles picked up cheap rifles which you find at gun shows every weekend.
When this is played out there is going to be a huge database of these “stolen” guns. Federal charges could be filed against anyone who has one in their possession no matter how legally they were obtained. Grandpa give your dad an M1 that you shoot on the weekend and were planning to give to your son in a dozen more years? Makes you think about what’s in your gun safe doesn’t it….

This plan worked to keep disidents to a minumum.

Any soldier stupid enough to comply deserves what he gets. And what you will get is One in the back of your head. The soldiers fight to protect this country and defend it’s constitution. In this CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, this type of action or request is treason. Notice I said CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC and not DEMOCRACY. The traitors like to blab on about America being a Democracy. It is not and never was, democracy is the worst form of government. These orders are treasonist.
DO NOT OBEY, REMEMBER YOUR OATH! Take no oath to any sitting President!! Domestic enemies of the constitution are within our gates.
Remember operation Valkyrie, and believe something like this could happen here.

One thing that’s kinda funny around here….being Buffalo NY. I was at the local Dick’s Sporting goods trying to buy rounds (7.62×39, 9mm, 7mm mag). They are literally out of ammo except .22! They have been limiting all buys to one box for the last few months, but there is none at all now.
I spoke to the guy at the counter after he noticed my Don’t Tread on Me shirt (bought from Alex). I talked bout “The Great One” going after our guns and he told me that there are some fishey things going on there at Dicks. Basically, for some reason, they aren’t allowed to get any type of ammo shipments and their rifle shipments have been limited to only shotguns and .22’s. No more shipments of center-fire rifles any more!
Don’t know if it means anything, but just found it strange. Also, I bought a 300 Winmag from them a couple of months ago. After the background check, I went to the register up front to pay. The cashier immediately asked me for my name, address, phone number, and zip code. I refused and she called the manager. The dope explained that they had to have that info for their nightly audit. I still refused to give the info to him explaining that they already took such for my background check. He was adament and I told him to keep his gun and bought one elsewhere. Again, it may be nothing, but it was all strange as no other store has asked for that info before.

BWJ,
I have a friend who owns a pawn shop in AR said that, due to demand, it is basically a flip of a coin as to where the guns get shipped from the manufacturers. So it would seem reasonable that the same may apply to ammo. Other than a shortage of brass and a few attempted federal tries at removing spent military cartridges from being recycled for public use, that’s all I know.

Whoever wrote that letter needs to be taken to court. There’s a lot of threats against private citizens in there regardless of the legality. It is however unfortunate however that most of these decommissioned weapons if not ALL were decomissioned and legally given, donated of sold years ago. If the person who wrote the letter (who is likely connected to some collector and doing this with profit in mind) has any authority they need to cite that authority in the letter and make it available. The fact that no authority was cited makes it very suspect. No doubt a retired Sgt drafting up a letter is NOT a suitable Authorty, nor would some jackass active duty colonel be appropriate authority either. Someone is scamming and needs to go to jail.
I did this kind of work for years and know this doesn’t pass the sniff test, something is wrong, I bet someone s running a scam. The letter as presented is in fact worthless and the supporting documents (if there are in fact any) are also likely worthless). I could easily verify and get access to any authority cited but there isn’t any I’d bet.

These news stories are made to create a visceral response- Visceral means -dealing with crude or elemental emotions or having to do with the response of the body as opposed to the intellect, as in the distinction between thinking and feeling or literally, in a manner that affects the viscera or gut; In a visceral manner; in a way that affects one’s inner core or produces overwhelming emotions. In other words these stories are made to create an endorphine or adrenaline response — so little sheep, repeat the words SWINE FLU – PATRIOT ACT – MARTIAL LAW – NEW WORLD ORDER – VIRUS – TORTURE – OBAMA – FEMA CAMPS – f---ing blah blah blah blah. Hmmm… Shall we all sing that goofy Don’t Worry, Be Happy song from a few years ago?
Yes, don’t fret. Having around 15 trillion dollars outright stolen from us is no cause for alarm. The banksters are initiating fascism using brain-dead goons across the land to enslave us, but that, too, is no cause for alarm.
Everything is just hunkydory! And … let’s not forget peachy keen swell.

The real question is whether or not the VFW is part of the military. I think it isn’t but maybe someone can correct me? If it isn’t, then it has no obligation to respond to demands from the DoD. As well, if the VFW has any sort of policy on abandoned property, I think that would work in their favor, as the DoD seemed to have forgotten about this stuff for so many years. Also, just because I have a serial number for something does not mean it is mine. I think they should let the DoD call in the FBI, let the FBI get a warrant and do their thing.

Dear readers, the Veteran administration is starting to report Veterans with PTSD as terrorists to the Department of Homeland Security. With HR1207 and Obama’s escalation into the middle east and the “graveyard of empires”, a flash point cannot be far away. Are we going the way of the Soviet Union?

hook line and sinker….
note is not from TACOM (Which incidentally is “the Army’s Tank and Automotive Command”) but from a VFW individual -1 for source.
Nothing proves the Army (nor Navy, Marines, Airforce) is collecting anything…responses go to the VFW. My guess is someone in the VFW wants the info…. just the facts I see here so far.

June 11th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
The simple answer from the VFW should be, “You give me the list of what you think I have been issued, and I will see if I have it on hand.”
Just because the VFW post has something, that is NOT proof that it is govt. property. Possession is nine points of the law or whatever.
Let the government prove that they have it in their inventory, and that it is not private property.
For example, Baton Rouge has a P40 Warhawk on display, which was purchased as war surplus by a private individual many years ago and found stored in crates, then donated to the city by his heirs. It is NOT U.S. Govt property.
Over the years, the government has sold an untold amount of weapons and equipment as well as “loaned” weapons and equipment to the VFW and other organizations. Many citizens have donated war souvenirs and purchased weapons and equipment to patriotic organizations and museums. It should be up to the government to show proof if ownership instead of private organizations and local governments surrendering everything they have to the government.
Anyone who complies with this demand to render unto Caesar everything they have in their possession is a fool.
