Blagojevich wants National Guard helicopters to patrol gun control capital of America

The gun control capital of America – Chicago – where only the criminals are allowed to own firearms – has been hit by a fresh wave of crime and violence, prompting Governor Rod Blagojevich to call for National Guard helicopters to be used in law enforcement operations.
Blagojevich plans to form an “elite tactical team” to help the city fight crime, according to a speech he gave last week.
“Violent crime in the city of Chicago is out of control,” Blagojevich said at the bill signing ceremony. “I’m offering resources of the state to the city to work in a constructive way with Mayor Daley to do everything we can possibly do to help stop this violence,” said the governor.

Citing the fact that a child has been shot nearly every day since the end of June, Blagojevich called for National Guard helicopters to be used in high crime areas.
However, as police department spokeswoman Monique Bond noted, the actual number of homicides in the city is significantly down.
“2008 may end with fewer than 500 homicides and that it is expected to be one of the least deadly years in the city in the last 40 years,” reports NBC5.com.
Following questions regarding the use of National Guard choppers in the city, Blagojevich’s office attempted to pour cold water over the issue by stating that National Guard troops would not enter the city.
“The only way the National Guard would be involved, if they are involved, is with the use of tactical helicopters that are currently used in narcotics operations,” spokesman Lucio Guerrero said in a prepared statement.
The precedent for National Guard units and military personnel to be used in domestic law enforcement has been a growing cancer for the last three decades.
Documentarian and radio talk show host Alex Jones has has attended numerous military urban warfare training drills across the U.S. where role players were used to simulate arresting American citizens, confiscating their weapons, and taking them to internment camps. Actors scream out that they have constitutional rights as they are handcuffed and hauled off to the detainment facility.
Legislation has already been passed that paves the way for the U.S. military to engage American citizens on home soil.
The John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 allows the President to declare a “public emergency” and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to “suppress public disorder.”
Military-style drills involving unmarked black helicopters (the kind that the corporate media insists only exist inside the minds of conspiracy nutjobs) took place in Denver and Florida last month under the pretext of “terrorism training,” with choppers buzzing around downtown Denver and even causing damage to people’s property by flying well below legal altitudes.

I wonder how many good old boy bubbas that live in Chicagoland, and how they feel about this. I don’t own a gun now but if I did, as Chucky Heston said “from my cold dead hands”. That line was better than any he ever uttered in a movie. I wonder how much of the police state is hype and what is fact. The gun confiscation videos from New Orleans are pretty compelling.

Exactly, how convenient that they decide to strip away gun rights, and cause a crime wave so massive that they must declare marshall law to protect everyone.
Gun control, in certain iterations, does indeed work, but it’s less control and more regulation. Everyone has the right to bare arms. Personally, I draw the line at automatic weapons. Handguns, yes, shotguns, yes, hunting rifles, yes, anything beyond that should be regulated to some degree.
but banning guns only affects the legitimate owners, the crooks still have theirs, and have more ambition to attack as they know you don’t have a gun to protect yourself.
Problem, reaction, solution.

Get far out of the big Cities as soon as you can, and buy guns, ammo’s, food you can store long time, water, first aid supplies, and more ammo’s. It’s ok to drive an hour to work from remote areas, than live in the middle of the zoo. You will hate at first to drive long to work and home, but when and if the shit hit the fan, you will be thank full to take my advice.

This is all a political urination contest between the governor and

How about crime control? Why not address the reasons why crime is out of control and try to actually solve a problem? Why not build a wall around Chicago and call it a big jail? hovring over people’s house in INGLEWOOD,they didnt leave still about 6.30 this morning.there is sumting seriously go on and the people of this nation need 2 wake the fuck up quick.we have been talking 4 alots of years now and nothing have been done.if we want freedom and justice 4 all we have 2 fight 4 it bcoz they aint gonna give it 2 us(AND THIS IS REAL TALK).I truely believe that if we want our freedom we have 2 stand up 2 the evil that been ruling over us for decades.

You know what, maybe kids wouldn’t be getting shot if they weren’t running around the streets all day. Maybe it’s time to settle up with the unions and make public schools year round schools. Not only will this help with academics but it will also help keep kids off the streets, though teachers and schools shouldn’t be raising the kids either it would be a helpful situation on both ends.
I’d like ot know where the hell are the parents on this? We need to start holding parents accountable for their own kids. If you wanted kids / or had kids, you instantly signed on for the responsibility for them. If you can’t control them you shouldn’t have them and they should be taken from you.
What we need is that if your kids are living with you, you are accountable for their actions.
Your kid shoots someone, you both go to jail.
Your kid steals you both pay up and go to jail.
Your kid is in a gang, your in a gang and equally accountable.
For all others, if your dealing drugs, guns, or just being a retard, you deserve to have the hammer brought down on you for making your own streets a worse place.
It ridiculous that things have to come to this level. Chicago is fucked and I’m glad I don’t live along side it anymore.

The Illinois governor has been involved in many scandals {google his name and the word scandal }and I believe has answered for none. Which should be no surprise to us but maybe he is cutting a deal that by helping with martial law, he will be further above the laws that he has already broken and probably will break if he sends in the national guard. The Illinois Gov named Rod needs his own padded cell because this idea is crazy.This deranged gov wants martial law. Rod has been involved in several scandals so far , google for more info, but seems to ignore Lisa Madigan.I think the people of Illinois demand he resign on the front of the state capitol. I would gladly show up in support.I believe he also had to pay the state back in the past for taking helicopters to places for non state business. I guess he really likes helicopters.Lets start a petition to urge him to resign or put in add in the paper to inform the public. This is too close of a push to martial law. The steps taken are always incremental , but in hindsight are major and big steps.

Folks while the NWO and global gov’t are real threats I think we need to calm down a little here. Choose our shots wisely and know that they are going to do these things despite what your reaction may be. Running into the streets pointing at every helicopter in the sky screaming NWO will only strengthen their fear tactics and create more reason for them to shut down our freedom entirely. I worry that we may choose the wrong time to try and make our move. When you fight a war and you ambush the enemy you don’t shoot at the guy on point. You let him pass and wait for the rest of them to come into view. I believe that Marshal law may well be upon us but going nuts about helicopters in Chicago is only putting the flame closer to the wick. We need to wait till we see the whites of their eyes or all our efforts will be for not. AJ sometimes I think you need to step back and pick the shots more carefully. What if this kind of article sets someone off and they do something stupid that decides all of our fates for us? It will only take one over the top reaction fueled by reports of strange helecopters that will undo everything and set forward their endgame plan.
I know we are short on time but we really need to be careful how we approach this thing. We need organization and leadership not hysteria and disorganization.

Helicopters are already used in many urban areas, some residential Miami areas, you know not to leave your doors unlocked or go outside when you hear that police chopper. No for fear of the police, but of the punk cutting through your backyard looking for a hiding place.

Our Governor Rod Blowdabitch is a Nazi. A citizen in Illinois can not get a CCW permit. The problem is chicago is one big sewer that needs to be thoroughly cleansed of its scum starting with the crooked politicians and cops.

I agree with David Lee’s comments of stated here on July 21, yesterday. We the people need to let the point guy’s pass by to get to “their” real fighting force. We must pick our battles wisely, and not rush into battle. This would only play into our enemy’s hands.
By the way, the mayor of Chicago has publicly stated that he wants a surveillance camera on every corner of the city.
I’ve never seen a camera that could not be taken out with a
paintball gun while wearing a ski mask.

You can’t believe everything you read on the internet, the same way you can’t believe everything you see on the evening news. Mayor Daily has openly spoke about this, and he doesn’t think it is necessary and quite frankly doesn’t want the Governors help. For those of us that actually live in Chicago, we can draw on a map the 4 streets that make up the 1 mile square neighborhood that most, if not all, violent crime is committed in. Mayor Daily wants to target that area, not the entire city. You know they’d have to call the troops home in order to declare martial law. Chicago proper has at least 4 million people, not counting the millions of illegals, transient populations, and suburban commandos. The U.S. population of 18-44 year olds, by state, is estimated to be approximate 112,000,000 persons. Of those, a little over two million are either active military or in the Reserve/National Guard. C’mon people – wake up! 2 million soldiers? This story is nothing but propaganda. If we can’t take over Iraq, how the hell are they going to take over a city the size of Chicago. Gangs, organized crime, religious zealots, etc…

Daley and Blagojevich both suck! I live in Illinois and in a suburb of Chicago. Thank god I’m in DuPage instead of Cook. There have been many shootings here, but the city has had a very rich history of criminals and guns going back to the beginning of the last century. The governemnt here is bullshit. They haven’t been able to pass a state budget for the past 3 years, the state is broke, yet Rod can fly back and forth from Springfield to Chicago every weekend to be with his family on the taxpayers money. Chicago’s politicians are so corrupt, we have the highest sales tax rate in the entire country,10.25%. WTF!!!! During budget talks they were talking about raising taxes everywhere else, but yet all those assholes got raises. Todd Stroger employs nepotism and gives his family raises, Daley has been in power for way too long. The outskirts of the city suffer while he worries about making downtown look pretty. Then with his stupid handgun ban they only allow crooks and criminals have guns, and most of the cops don’t care about the crimes, all the city cares about is giving tickets to take your money. They have cameras with microphones everywhere and they just keep adding more. They have cameras at busy intersections to take a picture of you running a red light and sending you a ticket in the mail. They also just proposed putting cameras on street cleaners and snow plows to take pictures and ticket the people that leave their car on the street when their a restrictions in place for street cleaning or snow. It’s ridiculous. Chicago has always been a liberal city, but why they let these people get away with it is beyond me. I can’t vote for Cook County officials because I live in DuPage, but I work in Cook County 6 days a week and see what goes on. I go to city garages and see city workers getting paid to literally stand around and bullshit with other city workers. . . more of my tax money at fucking work. . .complete bullshit. At least the people of the city didn’t take part in any of the last terror drills they had last year.

As a Chicago resident for the past 15 years, I can personally attest to the fact that this once great city is turning into a nightmare-ish, Orwellian police state. Earlier this year I approached a “camera” red light intersection. Knowing there was a camera at the intersection, I tapped my brakes 3 times in an attempt to slow down, but being a good defensive driver as well, I checked my rear-view mirror and saw a car bearing down on my tail. So, being the safe driver I am, and having less than three seconds to react, I had no choice but to go thru the intersection. I missed the 3-second amber light and ran through the red 1/10th of a second after it changed. (You can actually go online, see the video and all of this pertinent information.) No one was harmed, no damage was done, and in fact, I probably helped to avoid an accident. Despite all of this I was found guilty of running a red light even though by the state constitution, my accuser was to meet me in court. I was ordered to pay $90 and when I refused, my fine doubled to $180.
After 4 months of threatening extortion letters from my wonderful city government, I was contacted by a law firm to collect the debt. I was informed that I either pay the $180 or face civil action to include legal fees which could run as high as $1500, have a LIEN placed on my house, my vehicle (any vehicle) impounded, my driver’s license suspended and, oh, they would also see to it that my credit rating was severely harmed as well.
Well, since my plan to sell my house and bug out to some place far away from here fell thru with the Fed-induced recession, I was forced to pay the extortionist money to this God-forsaken hell hole of a city. All for simply being a safe driver and trying to avoid an accident. It doesn’t matter what you do or say, if they get you on camera, they’re going to get your money. After all, THEY have ALL the POWER! From now on, I am slamming on my brakes at EVERY light with a camera at it in hopes of causing a rear-end collision. I will then SUE THE HELL OUT OF THIS CITY FOR CAUSING ME TO DRIVE IN FEAR OF FURTHER EXTORTION!!!!! Nuff said? On with more police state news…
About 3 months ago, I was driving with my girlfriend to Dominick’s to get 25 gallons of reverse-osmosis water at around 11:30 PM. We were out and I won’t drink the tap water in this city. This is the irony of the situation because as I was sitting at a RED light, with my seat belt on and my girlfriend doing the same in the seat next to me, one of Chicago’s “finest” pulls up to the red light approaching from the other direction. Tapping her brakes, she proceded to drive through the RED light. Disgusted at this sight, since I had just forked over $180 of my hard-earned money for doing MUCH less, I glanced to my left with that same disgusted look on my face. I suppose this offended my master, because she immediately made a U-turn and pulled me over (I was STOPPED – at a RED light, mind you…). With their guns drawn, they approached my car screaming to show my hands.
In shock as to what was happening because I had done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG, I complied, and they opened my driver side door. I was told to get out of the car and I was immediately handcuffed. When I asked her why I was being handcuffed, she replied, “It’s for my protection.” Hmmm… You’re the ones with the guns and I’M the one being cuffed? OK, Ma’am… whatever YOU say! After being questioned as to where I was going and where I was coming from (ahem…. “Your papers, Please!”), I was accused of being a cocaine user and having been down to the 10th precinct in the past.
Now, being a law-abiding citizen, 4 year veteran of the US Army, college graduate, and self-employed health fanatic, I have NO idea where the 10th precinct is and have NEVER in my life done cocaine. In fact, I’ve never been handcuffed (against my will, anyway) in my entire life, and I haven’t done ANY drugs whatsoever since 1998 when I had a bad experience with pot at a Christmas party. So suffice to say, I was completely baffled as to why I was being treated in such a manner.
My entire body was searched as was my girlfriend’s, and they did a 4th amendment-defying search of my entire car as well–all without asking for my permission, mind you. Finally, the female “law-enforcement” officer who had pulled me over actually recognized me from a party about 8 months prior that we had both attended via a mutual friend and un-cuffed me. They had a good laugh and I was on my way. I was shaken at the time and felt it in my body as I trembled driving away. But, in retrospect of the entire situation, I am enraged at the shear number of laws that were broken, not by me, but by those who have sworn to protect and serve me and who are paid by my tax money.
And it’s only getting worse. There will be nearly 300 red-light cameras in this city by year’s end, the street sweepers are now affixed with ticket and revenue generating cameras on them so police no longer have to write tickets, and there will soon be camera vans driving the “Rush Hour” traffic lanes nailing illegal parkers one by one in a split second–and most likely one minute after the rush hour starts. Orwell was so prophetic and so spot-on about everything he wrote. Is it any wonder why you can’t get 1984 on DVD in this country. Nope, it’s NEVER been released on DVD in America. Ever wonder why?
It’s time for the APATHETIC, INTELLECTUALLY LAZY people of this once-great country to come together, come to the REALIZATION of just what the hell is REALLY going on here and fight the power like they’ve never done before. Because if we don’t do it now, while we still have SOME semblance of a constitution in place as our “law of the land” it will be too late once it is suspended and our rights have all been taken from us by the criminals who control the reigns of power in this country…. and the world! As for me, I AND my tax money are SO OUTTA here once I can get my house sold!

By posting this comment I am exercising my First Amendment rights as guaranteed by the United States Constitution, which more or less seems to have been repealed by all these homeland security laws, patriot act, etc. I suppose I will be investigated for making my pro-constitution post. But folks, I think you will see great parallels in history between the rise of Nazi Germany, and our post 9/11 country. Remember that Hitler, too, was elected by the people… And that our country is adopting the same tactics used by the Gestapo.

Violent crime is the side effect of civilians who can not lawfully own guns. No matter how many choppers or military personnel they bring in wont make a difference. The only thing that makes a difference is when every law abiding citizen “could” be carrying a gun and you don’t know one way or the other, only then are the criminals to afraid to perform their criminal activities as they have no idea if they will be shot when they try to take away grannies purse. One other factor the gov fails to see is that they employ normal citizens and make them military. Their own men will be their weakest link since they are in fact just normal citizens with normal families that will be affected by gov stupidity. What are the chances the military “men/woman” will execute their orders when the orders are perverse and against the law in itself. Just who are the terrorists anyway?
