Grandmother who objected to gay march is accused of hate crime

After witnessing a gay pride march, committed Christian Pauline Howe wrote to the council to complain that the event had been allowed to go ahead.
But instead of a simple acknowledgement, she received a letter warning her she might be guilty of a hate crime and that the matter had been passed to police.
Two officers later turned up at the frightened grandmother’s home and lectured her about her choice of words before telling her she would not be prosecuted.
Mrs Howe, 67, whose husband Peter is understood to be a Baptist minister, yesterday spoke of her shock at the visit and accused police of ‘ wasting resources’ on her case rather than fighting crime.

Actually the “more people have died in the name of religion” is a blatant historical inaccurracy. Read the “Black Book of Communism”…more people were murdered or died in wars in the 20th century because of “isms” of one kind or another than in all of human history prior. Some of this is due to population density, granted, but these utopian ideologies that teach that MANKIND is basically good and they just need the right kind of state programs to evolve are big murderous lies.
Also, attributing the horrific abuses of the Roman Catholic Church in the medieval days is a falacious arguement because the medieval Church of Rome had more in common with the religion that originated in Babylon (then to Pergamus and then to Rome); incorporated into the practice via the absorbtion of Saturnalia in the 4th century. There were dedicated followers of Christ at that time; among them were the Waldenses…all murdered for their refusal to accept Rome’s practices. In addition, the Inquisition and the Crusades were about MONEY and LAND not devotion to God or any principles associated with Him.
Regardless of your position in reference to the comments made by G_L above, you do your perspective no favors when you are so blatantly uninformed.

All Christians can be offended by the second example, because they could have been the victim of that crime, they are no different from the victim. The first crime was directed only
at the victim because of what he had done, not who he was.
We already differentiate between crimes based on intent such as:
1. Manslaughter, second and first degree assault and murder.
2. Assault and assault with a deadly weapon, or assault with the intent to maim, or assault
with the intent to kill.
Bottom line, if your not trying to infringe on anyone’s rights, what do you have to worry about?

I have an urgent message for you, more important than any message you can hear. But God has provided a way for each to escape the lake of fire. All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust in Him to save you as a sinner). You must admit your lost sinful condition to Him/that you’re worthy of hell, and ask Him to save you by placing complete trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation(an example in the Word of someone doing this- “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13).It is not even partly by yourselves that you can be saved, but only by the merits of Jesus Christ!

This article distorts the facts. This woman did not just “witness” the rally as described. She went down there to harass people at the rally. She printed up antigay leaflets attacking gay people and then handed them to the people. When people said rude things back to her she went crying demanding that such rallies be permanently censored. She is an advocate of censorship, not of freedom of speech. She was investigated and no charges were filed, So to imply she was accused in a legal sense is also wrong.

I can see that the world is like it was in the days of Noah. I can also see that good is being called evil, and evil is being called good. Not any of this surprises me, it has all been foretold in the Bible. It also tells us where all the evil goes in the end. Gays are no threat, they are in danger of the coming Judgement of a Holy God, as I posted earlier. And you are right, the Bible nothing to do with public policy, It s God’s Holy Word to reach man and tell them of the sin and their only way to appease God, by repenting and turning to God(Jesus Christ) for salvation…It is entirley up to you to decide what you are going to do.
