Former Democratic candidate Mike Gravel says President George W. Bush should be taken to The Hague for war crimes rather than being impeached.
In a Monday video conference with Press TV, the former Alaska senator said President Bush does not ‘deserve’ to be impeached for invading Afghanistan and Iraq, which has resulted in the loss of ‘millions of lives’.
“An Impeachment just means you would only take away his (Bush’s) presidency. Well, he is almost done (with) his presidency. What really needs to happen is that these people have to be held accountable for the crimes they have committed,” the 78-year-old Democrat said referring to the US president and Vice President Dick Cheney.
(Article continues below)
“If you impeach president and vice president, Nancy Pelosi is going to become president; that is not going happen,” Gravel added.
Gravel is an outspoken advocate of impeaching Bush and Cheney over the disinformation campaign they have led in support of their go-to-war policies.
“There is a lot of very good news that makes me tremendously hopeful that we as a nation are starting to wake up and insist our congressional representatives act to make impeachment happen now,” he had said in a statement in January after congressman Dennis Kucinich announced plans to introduce articles of impeachment against President Bush.

Every single individual that agreed to work on this administration, domestic or foreign, are also criminals and murderers and should all be taken to The Hague. That would be a lot of people!!!

Rumor has it that Dick and Bush are leaving the country to where they cannot be touched by U.S. or International law. Dick is moving to Saudi Arabia (Dubai) and Bush is moving to Paraguay. How convenient, and right after the elections. Bush is leaving his powers to the next President, and I believe this is why Pilosi and Conyers are reluctant to proceed with impeachment. Has anybody thought of why Obama and McCain are traveling out side the U.S. during an election campaign? My guess is that they are telling us and the world that they are both on the same page to carry out the Bush agenda and trample the constitution even further. Both have promised that they will back Israel in the event that if Iran fought back in defence of an Israeli Attack, that the U.S. will then invade Iran.

If we go to war with Iran. I can’t see Russia not getting involved. They have been flexing their muscles and WWIII is on. The Lord knows what exactly will happen.

Can’t we prosecute our own criminals instead of sending them to some other cabal to deal with?
July 27th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
Bush and Cheney will leave the country. The American sheeple will go back to sleep as the next Diebold/Federal Reserve elected “president” will pacify the nation. People will forget and George and Dick and all the others will get off because the American people are cowards. There should be armed crowds in the millions marching with nooses and bullets towards Washington. We’d take one week to set things straight and then everyone’s job, housing, tax situation would improve 300% but it’s not going to happen. We prefer to get screwed over and complain because that’s what cowards do. They do nothing… except wave flags and support phony wars.

I suppose if you are just very bad informed, maybe working as cheap gun for the corporation, the flag and all.
Surely our leaders will flee when the going gets tough, they will die there, just a change of scenery, not free of paying with life.
Cheney middle of the east? likely to go first.
There is simply no escaping this one.
One cannot keep precious goods and habits in face of total breakdown modern life, even farming will be extremely dangerous with such amounts of people lacking basic needs like food.

Making a run for the mountains sounds like good advise.

I like Mr. Gravel’s idea way better than impeachment. I would not want that bitch (Pelosi) to be President of anything, let alone our Country.

I think a lot of you are missing the point.
The Hague is the seat of the WORLD COURT, an agency of the UN, and something that tries to govern us all ILLEGALLY..
Gravel is a NUT which I tried to tell you during the presidential primary when you all were talking about DK and MG being like Ron.
Well please get over it! DK and MG are UN suck ups!
We do NOT want to bring ANYONE to the Hague. Why do you want to encourage the very agencies we are fighting??????
Don’t you listen about the dangers of INTERNATIONAL LAW? Or are all of you brainwashed to world government so badly you can’t see????
Hypocrites! Maria, RayB, et al!
July 27th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
The world knows that Bush son as Bush father and Cheney and more are guilty of war crimes but will anything be done ??? that is left to see.
July 27th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Don’t forget the Nuremburg trials after WWII: there were even a few who ran the state propaganda machine who were prosecuted and sent to prison. Limbaugh, O’Rilley, Hannity et all take note.
We do need to prosecute those who have led us into this mess. That also includes members of the most treasonous gang, AIPAC.
To let them simply slip away shows the rest of the world we could care less about our government, our nation, and take no responsibility for their actions. The rest of the world will then realize they too can act accordingly and civilization will begin to resemble that of the middle ages.

How is he protecting Zionists? He talks about them and how they’re fake jews and part of the Illumanati. You guys seem to be the ones who seem to be off since you think it’s only the Zionists when it’s an interconnected web of coconspirators involving people of many different organizations.
July 27th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
Bill Schultz..Will you get over it already, ALex Jones is NOT pretecting zionists. I think he is soft on the Catholic church because of his friends, but he still does fairly well with the RCC as well.
I think his Christainity is a JOKE, but when it comes to the zionists and the NWO as a WHOLE, he does pretty darn good. Lets be fair, the guy CANNOT do EVERYTHING, expose every minute detail of every issue.
If I had to grade Alex on what he does do here is what I would give.
The NWO as a Whole = A+
True Chsitainity = F.. Mixes new age and Falsee bible teachings, and his own imagination, lusts and desire for a witches brew of HORROR.
The Catholic church involvement = C+..He has many hollywood friends that are catholic so he steps very lightly here.
The Zionist involement= B+ and getting better all of the time.
The Real solution = C-.. He is blinded by his own lusts, ego and lack of knowledge so he only see what he wants to see.
False hope for America =A.. His lusts and desires won’t let him see the REAL and ONLY solutions. But I think he is beginning to see a little clearer on this one, but SLOWLY.
Works hard = A++..His intentions to stop the NWO are REAL an Genuine. And while I have great concerns or issues with most of what he says when it comes to Christianity & what Christians should do, it is clear Alex works his butt off and should NOT be ignored when it comes to the NWO.
Now granted I believe Alex gives himself much more credit for things than he deserves and has a big ego (no matter how much he denies it), and I think that turns a lot of people off from him, but the truth is, Alex does deserve crdit for the many good and right things he does do.
I think it is wrong for people to accuse him FALSELY for theings he doesn’t do or claim he doesn’t do thngs he does do, such as this whole Zionist avoidence. This is just FLAT OUT WRONG.
Most people who claim it is JUST the Zionists are DEAD WRONG. I agree the Zioinsts play a MAJOR role and are even at the TOP of this evil food chain, but they are not there nor did they get there alone.
July 28th, 2008 at 4:21 am
alex is a patriot… a real hero. he was raising hell about the NWO long before most people caught on, and he’s never backed down.
as far as who is ultimately behind the scheme to create a prison planet… it doesn’t really matter as far as i can see. the rubber meets the road in our communities, and that is where we either stand or submit. at a national level, yes, he’s been shining the light a long time. neo-cons, neo-libs, police, congress, military, intelligence agencies, corporations, banks… he’s been all over it.
tracing the secret societies, church involvement, space aliens and the other esoteric aspect of it doesn’t move anything forward, so perhaps he’s left those trails to others to chase… they’re all out of reach as far as i can see. but when it comes to our own governments, we can reach them.
style points… he’s difficult for many to take. so be it. since 9/11, others have stepped in to talk to the more timid masses in terms they can understand. alex, you or i can’t be everything to everybody.
i honor him for what he’s done over the years, for his fearlessness, for his determination and inner strength to keep the story alive.

To NH. We are definitely not missing the point. Yes, The Hague is the seat of the World Court and it is an agency of the UN. But they do not try to govern the US illegally or legally. The only danger the World Court presents is that guilty Americans may be called to task for their many illegal activities. That can only be seen as a good thing.
July 28th, 2008 at 6:44 am
Let Bush be tried by the same world govt that him and his nazi family helped create. It is a good idea because it would be impossible for him to get a fair trial in the US. He would be exonerated by the judicial system or else pardoned by the next president. Bush and Cheney need to be tried as criminals and receive execution for punishment.
July 28th, 2008 at 8:02 am
Let’s not forget to include dear ol’ Karl Rove, a true example of walking, talking evilness if there ever was one. And, of course, Don Rumsfield who has a double whammy of not only for his part in promoting the illegal and immoral war in the Middle East, but also for deliberately foisting the deadly chemical aspartame upon the world. Also included should be the various US military chiefs who went along and supported the wholesale murdering and permanently poisoning with DU that has gone on in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We wouldn’t want Dick and George to feel lonely at the Hague as they nervously sit in the defendents’ docket.
July 28th, 2008 at 10:14 am
NH is actually VERY right regarding the World Court. It is also true Bush and his crew would not be tried in the US courts but that is onoy if we left government as it is right now.
We can NOT count on our VERY corrupt congress, or most of our corrupt state governments. The ONLY way these THUGS and THIEVES could truly get what they deserve is if the PEOPLE (not politicians) tried them using our rules of law according to the constitution and not the NEW laws they illegally changed and created to protect thier crimes.
Those of you who THINK a “world court” is the answer either do NOT understand WHO and WHAT the World court really is, or do know and are trying to convince us that World government is the answer and are using SLIDE OF HAND to send people in the WRONG direction.
The ONLY reason the Nazis were tried and convicted is because they were made the enemies because Hitler steped a little to far than what his masters wanted, not only that the World court needed to show they were needed. So the Nazis were just the SCAPE GOATS for the REAL NWO plan. Now that is not to say they were nto guilty of the crimes, I am just saying that even this trial was just a STAGE for the World Court performance.
The world court would NOT do anything more to the Bush crime family any more than the US congress would because they ALL work for the SAME MASTERS and the Bush crew are only doing what the NWO wants them to do.
The UN just PLAYS the good guys but look at what they REALLY do and fund and that should show you that they are just as CORRUPT and EVIL and are part of the WORLDS problems, and NOT the solution in the slightest.

Gravel. Craig.
All these puppets are setting the stage for the NAU solution, seems to me.
If the extent of the infiltration can be widened to include a majority of both houses, as percieved by the refusal to impeach, then could not the UN or World Court, presume that said representative majorities reflect a criminal populous, and that the nation needed to be invalidated and replaced.
