A new poll shows more Americans are against gun control schemes that gathered steam after last year’s school shooting in Connecticut, but that’s not stopping gun control groups from using the anniversary to push their cause.
According to lefty mouthpiece the Huffington Post, the gun-grabbing groupMoms Demand Action is releasing a scary ad apparently showing a school classroom pre-shooting. According to The Hill, the national Obama groupOrganizing for Action is pushing “anniversary events” at the local level — which sounds oddly festive if you think about it.
The biggest problem these groups have – and it’s a big one – is that more Americans are disagreeing with them as reason takes over from the emotion that followed the shooting.
According to a CNN poll released Wednesday, 50 percent of Americans oppose stricter gun control laws up from 27 percent in January. That’s a 23 percent increase in the people who think Second Amendment rights are more important than the illusion of safety gun control laws provide.
