In a move completely ignored by the corporate media, the state of Hawaii has introduced resolutions in the Senate and House to initiate a study by the Insurance Commissioner to determine how best to deny gasoline purchases to uninsured motorists.

| Hawaiian government wants motorists to use a special ID card in order to buy gasoline. | |
In order to do this, the Hawaii Senate and House concur that “motor vehicle insurance companies issue motor vehicle insurance cards to insured drivers and to require that the card be either scanned electronically or examined by the sellers of gasoline in order to purchase gasoline.”
If these bills pass in the regular 2010 session, residents will not only need the state’s permission to buy gasoline but will in essence need permission to work and buy food, that is unless they walk or ride bicycles to work or the grocery store.
Since the September 11, 2001, false flag attacks, the federal government has worked overtime to impose national ID schemes on the American people. The September 11 whitewash commission recommended “national standards” for “identification documents,” including driver’s licenses in 2004.
“There needs to be consistent standards to ensure the integrity of both the document and the issuance process,” said commission member Jamie S. Gorelick, a former Clinton administration Justice Department official who is a member of the CFR and linked to numerous globalist foundations and the CIA (see this Muckety relationship map).
Christopher B. Cannon, Utah Republican, told the commission the government needs to “take something that everyone accepts now and have it standardized in a way that it really identifies the people who are holding onto it.” Skeptical lawmakers characterized this as a stealth national ID plan brought in “through the back door.”
“I’ve always been concerned about a universal ID card or system, somewhat like in Nazi Germany,” Rep. Barry Goldwater Jr. said at the time. “That’s scary. We value our privacy and freedom and are very concerned about the power of the U.S. government.
Hawaii’s proposal is obviously not a national or state ID scheme. It is, however, yet another way to get the proles to accept the idea that they need to be carded for essentials in order to fight against deadbeats who do not buy state mandated insurance.

once again… one of the many reasons why we took those islands over- besides being a strategic air force base, the islands are the perfect place to run experiments before they’re instituted here. reinstate a sovereign Hawai’in nation!

What if you don’t drive but are borrowing a friends car and need to fill up on gas? How about if you need some fuel for a lawnmower? This is stupid.

This confirms my suspicion that I have held for years: Auto insurance is not to protect US, but to introduce another layer of non-tax-creditable costs to us, and to introduce more taxable income (thereby more taxes) to the insurance agents/companies. It is a stealth tax once removed.

I got a ticket on the highway, for making an “Improper lane change” on an open highway. The SS-er CHP officer asked for my financial liability info. I was out looking for employment so I could get insurance. I didn’t have any, so they gave me a 1300 dollar ticket. Well, it’s been a year, the unemployment rate in my city is around 25 percent. I’m homeless and crashing in a friend’s house for now, thank god for him. I still don’t have a job or my license, because I can’t pay that goddamn ticket. Not to mention I owe 25,000 in student loans. I want to start a citizen’s militia in my county for lack of a better thing to do, so we can take care of our own. Out of love. To defend the people who can’t defend themselves, to help my community. I have an able body, and well, the wage slave owners don’t want it. I’m just disillusioned now, and am losing hope, for my country, and well humanity as a whole. I know good people exist. People who want freedom. People who want a good world for their kids. If anyone can help me think of methods to get people behind me. please let me know.

What if the person purchasing gas isn’t driving a car, they walk up with a gas can. Would they have too then prove that to the gas station management and or the Govt. that they are purchasing the gasoline for use in a lawmower or jet ski or boat? There is no possible way for the Govt. too justify doing this, or enforce the law.

Wow, what a way to further fuck up tourism in Hawaii!
Especially on the neighbor islands most tourists rent cars. Now they will undoubtedly need to bring documentation with them each time they go to the gas pump. Maybe they can be tazed from not having their traveling papers in order?

A less convoluted way to fix the uninsured motorist problem is (1) raise the gas tax to the point that what an average driver pays in marginal tax in a year is roughly equal to the cost of the minimum required insurance (2) Companies bid on blocks of drivers, so that – for example – State Farm ends up providing basic insurance to everyone whose license plate starts with the letters A through F, Progressive covers G through M, etc. The state government give the premiums collected from the extra tax directly to the companies. (3) Every driver is free to purchase extra coverage from any company if they want to. This plan isn’t perfect, but it’s better than trying to force the poor clerk at the Stop-N-Rob into being an unpaid deputy Insurance Commissioner.

So if you don’t have auto insurance, does that mean that you can’t buy gasoline for the OTHER things that need it? Like lawn mowers and generators? This is getting ridiculous!

I lived in Hawaii for 15 years…..it was known as the Socialist Republic of Hawaii — that was the only thing I HATED — too many relying on goverment to take care of them instead of doing for themself…..so what better place to expirement than there? “Aloha” means ‘put your faith in government….they will take care of you’. Welcome to the new America….where usurpers become presidents and tax evaders lead the IRS………

I don’t think so. The US including Hawaii isn’t even capable to issue such a card. The computer systems in the US are far behind of those in any other countries. The banks are museums.
Laughable.
We buy the way don’t buy AIG or any other insurance here because it is just 3-6 times more than a very well known Gekko company.

Hey, why not? These sheeple have already submitted to some of the strictest gun laws in the Country. Let’s confine them to their houses. Put’em all on Welfare, since they won’t be able to drive to work. How can they run away??? They are already on a prison, just like a giant ‘Frisco Bay, but with a nicer climate!

The economic meltdown in the United States has severely impacted the once prosperous tourist economy of the Hawaiian Islands. Jobs are disappearing everywhere. As a result a high percentage of drivers do not have insurance, which is required by most states. Drivers insurance is expensive and faced with choices of food and shelter priority expenses; the law requiring auto insurance has become burdensome. They should look as a no fault driver’s law where no fault can be issued to anyone involved in an accident. This would radically reduce auto litigation and the need for auto insurance. Road-beware.
