Posting a few paragraphs isn’t putting a discussion “in context”.

Posting an entire chapter IS putting it in context.

Where he says “depending on the society” clearly he’s implying potential world-wide responses to overpopulation. …. and in perfect example, CHINA has limited its families to 1 child each, or they have to pay huge taxes (fines/fees/whatever).

The argument made in the book that having multiple spouses is illegal and constitutional suggests that the government really could limit family size and not violate the constitution (at least as far as the corrupt bastards on the SCOTUS are concerned). It really doesn’t make sense that you can ‘only’ have one wife (although personally I wonder how anyone could stand more than one). Yet those laws stand.

Many people other than those authors have suggested involuntary sterilization in the context of sexual offenders. In the context shown in this article the authors clearly state that people abhor sterilization through contamination of their water. “Adding a sterilant to drinking water or staple foods is a suggestion that seems to horrify people more than most proposals for involuntary fertility control. Indeed, this would pose some very difficult political, legal, and social questions, to say nothing of the technical problems.” That hardly sounds like an endorsement by the authors.

I’m not so sure that what P Watson is doing is any different than any other newspaper in this country. I think PP wants stories written in human form rather than robot form like AP journalists, etc.
I think the “spin” you speak of is just his way of pointing out the obvious in the article which generally is him pointing out obvious governmental lies and frauds intertwined with some sarcasm, clearly.
This site os for clear thinking, oopen-minded adults and to be honest with you, i like the way the stories are presented. If you don’t like them, then just go ahead and FIND ANOTHER WEBSITE TO HANG OUT AT DUMBASS!

Just in case anybody thinks that nobody is taking eugenics seriously I would like to point out that there is a complete ‘EUGENICS FACTORY’ and ‘EUGENICS CLINIC’ modelled in GTA IV. I’m not sure if it made it into the actual game as I haven’t seen it in the Bronx district yet. But for those with the PC version you can use SparkIV to browse the data files to pc>data>maps>east>bronx_e.img and open the file bxe_acware01.wdr and the eugenics clinic textures are located in the file called bxe_lod_03.wtd

rubbish. he *did* believe in a population timebomb, perhaps. But that doesn’t mean he necessarily subscribes to all policies about controlling population.
