Homeland Security Department Sees No Terror Tie in Plane Crash

Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) — Federal authorities see no terrorist or criminal ties to the crash today of a plane in Austin, Texas, a Department of Homeland Security spokesman said.

“We believe there’s no nexus with criminal or terrorist activity,” said Matt Chandler, the spokesman. He said authorities don’t know the cause of the crash. Department authorities are coordinating with other federal agencies and Texas state officials.
