TEGUCIGALPA, July 5 (Reuters) – Honduras’ interim President Roberto Micheletti said on Sunday Nicaraguan troops were moving to the mutual frontier and urged Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega to respect Honduran sovereignty.
He gave no further details about troop movements in Nicaragua which shares a border with Honduras to the southeast of the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa. His comments came as ousted President Manuel Zelaya attempted to fly home a week after he was ousted in a coup. Zelaya is a left-wing ally of Ortega and Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez.

Go to Google Maps and view the troops movements. I saw massive amounts of troops armed with leaf blowers moving Northward. Some of the Cement trucks appear to have bog down in the mud. A Roach Coach had sprinted ahead ,but has since fallen back into the pack.
Silt fence has been deployed around a camp and a soccer game has begun.
More as the satellite pass over again.

I think they are doing that because they don’t want refugees (illegal aliens) to come over.
Maybe they can teach the U.S. something.
July 6th, 2009 at 5:23 am
problem..? Micheletti didn’t respect the Sovreignity of the ELECTED leader, whom the people seem to like.
If Nicaraugua decided to help Zelaya re enter his own country, well, I am not surprised and Micheletti needs to duck and run I guess.

amicus curiae,
I am from Honduras and one thing I can guarantee you is that 75% of the country HATES Zelaya. He is beyond corrupt! He also tried to change our constitution by force and when he did that the Congress threw him into exile. Micheletti is just taking charge of the country and has done admirably. He is not necessarily the best candidate but has stood by the Hondurans desires.
I just urge you to be more informed before rushing into judgments. Honduran people are very peaceful but if it comes to our human rights I can assure you we will fight with all our might.

“Soraya Reply:

From my understanding and correct me if I am wrong, (obtw what do you do in Honduras and where is the statistics that suggest you are correct, as in please show us a valid poll or source link, if available, or are you getting paid or have some interests that may be biased, as don´t tell us you work for Texaco or Chevron or some other sock puppet position…etc.)
Back to the use offorce, as is it not true Micheletti Regime is the one who used force and exiled President Z. was it not, as a referendum and poll was being conducted, much in the same way President Ortega and Chavez did much in the same way, more or less, imho from my understanding, no force at all, the people decided by a vote, the way hope we all would support…do we not?
Not someone who wants to represent the NWO, not the constitution, as the people write the constitution and change it, not some group who disagrees with what the people say and choose and desire for their country and their leader, as hope every country allows the people the right to do this at, no force like in the US or other places, like take it or leave it, your with us or your the enemy.
So like to see everyone who stands for freedom and democracy and the right for a nation to live free from the persecution of foreign influences that supports personas like the Somosa Regime or Pinochete, or any of the others, as I suggest the US base in Honduras( was in not formerly British Honduras?) be ask to relocate and Mexico, El Salvador, Belize, Nica., Venz. and Guata. surround the place and ask them to drop the arms and surrender to the Presidente elect Zelaya for the rest of his term and those who acted out of line, without mentioning names, if any, be reprimanded and dealt with, no bloodshed at all.
Guess most of the freedom defenders are too busy preparing for the battle at home and do not have time to go enlist and volunteer in Honduras,
Please direct us to a source besides you on this one, in a closing reminder and long live the resistance to tyranny!

REAL STORY OF HONDURAS NO COUP!!!
Sometimes, the whole world prefers a lie to the truth. The White House, the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and much of the media have condemned the ouster of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya this past weekend as a coup d’état.
That is nonsense.
In fact, what happened here is nothing short of the triumph of the rule of law.
To understand recent events, you have to know a bit about Honduras’s constitutional history. In 1982, my country adopted a new Constitution that enabled our orderly return to democracy after years of military rule. After more than a dozen previous constitutions, the current Constitution, at 27 years old, has endured the longest.
It has endured because it responds and adapts to changing political conditions: Of its original 379 articles, seven have been completely or partially repealed, 18 have been interpreted, and 121 have been reformed.
It also includes seven articles that cannot be repealed or amended because they address issues that are critical for us. Those unchangeable articles include the form of government; the extent of our borders; the number of years of the presidential term; two prohibitions – one with respect to reelection of presidents, the other concerning eligibility for the presidency; and one article that penalizes the abrogation of the Constitution.
During these 27 years, Honduras has dealt with its problems within the rule of law. Every successful democratic country has lived through similar periods of trial and error until they were able to forge legal frameworks that adapt to their reality. France crafted more than a dozen constitutions between 1789 and the adoption of the current one in 1958. The US Constitution has been amended 27 times since 1789. And the British – pragmatic as they are – in 900 years have made so many changes that they have never bothered to compile their Constitution into a single body of law.
Under our Constitution, what happened in Honduras this past Sunday? Soldiers arrested and sent out of the country a Honduran citizen who, the day before, through his own actions had stripped himself of the presidency.
These are the facts: On June 26, President Zelaya issued a decree ordering all government employees to take part in the “Public Opinion Poll to convene a National Constitutional Assembly.” In doing so, Zelaya triggered a constitutional provision that automatically removed him from office.
Constitutional assemblies are convened to write new constitutions. When Zelaya published that decree to initiate an “opinion poll” about the possibility of convening a national assembly, he contravened the unchangeable articles of the Constitution that deal with the prohibition of reelecting a president and of extending his term. His actions showed intent.
Our Constitution takes such intent seriously. According to Article 239: “No citizen who has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President. Whoever violates this law or proposes its reform [emphasis added], as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, will immediately cease in their functions and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.”
Notice that the article speaks about intent and that it also says “immediately” – as in “instant,” as in “no trial required,” as in “no impeachment needed.”
Continuismo – the tendency of heads of state to extend their rule indefinitely – has been the lifeblood of Latin America’s authoritarian tradition. The Constitution’s provision of instant sanction might sound draconian, but every Latin American democrat knows how much of a threat to our fragile democracies continuismo presents. In Latin America, chiefs of state have often been above the law. The instant sanction of the supreme law has successfully prevented the possibility of a new Honduran continuismo.
The Supreme Court and the attorney general ordered Zelaya’s arrest for disobeying several court orders compelling him to obey the Constitution. He was detained and taken to Costa Rica. Why? Congress needed time to convene and remove him from office. With him inside the country that would have been impossible. This decision was taken by the 123 (of the 128) members of Congress present that day.
Don’t believe the coup myth. The Honduran military acted entirely within the bounds of the Constitution. The military gained nothing but the respect of the nation by its actions.
Finally, we have decided to stand up and become a country of laws, not men. From now on, here in Honduras, no one will be above the law.

The people who hijack these countries are consolidating their power with Hollywood thug actors (venezuela) and indefinite rule from wall st. by proxy. S & central .america are getting sick of american death squad rule. Honduras had the cohnes to run this idiot back to miami. Those who fight the bastard’s rule wind up like Noriega, their personal residence smashed in an pictures of hitler /bags of cocaine etc on display on 6pm news for the american/world sheep.
July 6th, 2009 at 8:26 am
Noriega was supposed to be free now does anyone care ? What did he do to piss em off so much.
July 6th, 2009 at 8:35 am
Congrats to the hondurans that stand up to self serving Presidents that want to continue their reigns without regards to the rule of law. With the UN and other global powers isolating them, Honduras may become the sole properitor of a free working democracy in the Western Hemisphere.

This makes me sad, after being to Nicaragua last summer I fell in love with it, now its going to be nice and de-stabalized. I was hoping to go to Honduras next time I headed south. I don’t belive in the military doing what’s right for the people, or that generals do anything not out of self interest. Its a hard thing to take in. Let’s just hope innocent people don’t die for nothing here.
July 6th, 2009 at 9:12 am
The Honduran troops are closing in on an enitre pack of chupacabras. Thats what this is really all about.

“NO MORE LIES” and “will travis”
Ha ha. Hey guys, why no mention of the fascist Micheletti and the Honduran military kidnapping young boys and forcing them into the military? Why no mention of the media lockdown? The suspension of natural rights? The violent kidnapping of three different ambassadors and the foreign minister Patricia Rodas? The fascists are just trying to divert attention from their own depravity, by stirring shit up with Nicaragua.

July 6th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Notice how the NO MORE LIES troll completly distorts reality. Hondurans overwhelmingly support a new Constitution being drafted.
Zelaya announced his intention to shut down the US military base in Honduras and convert it into an airport. He has also raised the minimum wage by 60%.
This is the same base where Oliver North trained his terrorist “Contra” army, tasked with destroing the progressive Sandinista govt., who committed all kinds of barbaric acts against Honduran citizens. Major drug-running HQ also, right?
Carry on, Troll Brigade.

Note how the NO MORE LIES troll claims the presidential single-term limit is a very precious thing to Hondurans.
This is in truth an Elitist mechanism, designed to prevent any real challenge to the staus quo from developing.

I honestly know absolutely NOTHING about Nicaragua but I do know much about the US CIA and other covert ops that kill entire countries and if I didn’t know any better I would guess that the CIA has their hand in what is going on there now.
Nothing in global politics happens by chance and this looks to me like the method of operations utilized by the US goons.
The US needs friendly servers to them in order to finish this GLOBAL GOVERNMENT!

Is there a media black out in Honduras, as in no TV, Radio or internet, heard there was from a brother and just wanted to know if so, and if so, who here would support it?
July 6th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
“NO MORE LIES” and “will travis” Funny how you keep posting the same worn out propaganda on these sites. How hard is it to cut and paste the same thing over and over. It don’t matter if you post a lie 100 times it is still a lie and a coup is a coup no matter what you call it. “Rule of law” are you retarded? I guess death squads are “social workers” to you too. If the people really wanted this coup then why are they all out in the streets protesting. and why is the military everywhere shooting people? If the Honduran people were really for this the tanks and troops would not be necessary. You bastards at the CIA have a warped view of reality.
July 6th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
Experts in CIA are the fighters for western values, aren’t them?Which values?Stollen land,
Ponzy-Madoff style wealth and overall inequality, high degree of education for rich and ignorance for poor and cult of militarism and death under the patriotic banners. They’ll never go away while capitalism is
feedng them ,infact they in return are protecting it everywhere. That’s the reason for
them to instigate ‘color revolutions’,unconstitutional putches , nationalist or secessionist riots and ‘international terrorism’
Capital is dead but people who own it acting like ‘living dead’ and going to kill anyone by any means. And they do have aplenty.

Ask the 500,000 or so people waiting for Zelaya’s return at the airport.
By the way, NO MORE LIES, remember how the fascist Micheletti talked so tough about how they had an arrest warrant for Zelaya? How they would lock him up if he returned to Honduras?
Why then, did they not allow his plane to land?
Here is a link detailing Honduran boys being kidnapped from their homes and forced into the military.

There were no troops at the border…

Today my family members returned from Teguc…
The told me in detail how the troops attacked the Pro Zelaya supporters…

The current Honduran Constitution…
Was written by the rich…
Serves the rich…
Protects the rich…
All this nonsense about a written document can not be changed…
Ask the million plus Hondurans working in the United States…
Why they are there…
Ask them what they think about their wonderful Constitution…
Ask the several million Americans losing their homes and jobs…
How they feel about America…
The rich own the world…
When someone wants to change the status quo…
They are killed…
Or exiled…
