Why the security was focusing the camera on that person?

He also looked pretty calm for a person knowing they were about to die. Maybe he knew, maybe he didn’t. I’m no expert on such things, it just seemed odd to me as well.

Can’t say as I have watched any of those videos. The only time I ever felt calm in a situation that had imminent death was when I had given up all hope of living and just decided to enjoy the ride remaining. At those times, amazing things have happened each time so far. Amazingly enough for me to still enjoy those wonderful moments whenever I get an opportunity to dance on that thin wire between life and death. Those have been the most beautiful moments of my life actually. But, I can’t say that I would have appeared calm in his situation. But then again, since I quit being a broker, I quit being suicidal.

They probably put the “blowing themselves up to bit” out of their mind and concentrate only on getting to the target point and pressing the button.
When I go to the dentist for a filling, I don’t think about having a 70,000rpm titanium steel drill bit being dug into my teeth. I concentrate on not having to worry about that dental treatment for another six months.

I concentrate on the drill! I have very sensitive teeth and no amount of pain killer can stop the pain. I thought it was normal and never said anything, but when I was a kid one of the dentists I went to told me they were very sensitive and asked if it hurt. I wasn’t moving or anything, just thought it was normal to hurt that much. I have no idea how they can tell if your teeth are sensitive or not. I just know he was right. And it did no good to know that either. It hurt just as much, and the satisfaction of me knowing I wasn’t being a wuss did me no good whatsoever!

why do you guys think its same person in both shots?….watch it carefully. the first person they are following is wearing a dark suit and with a piece of luggage. then before the explosion they cut to a different camera entirely and its a different person. come on, ive got a hangover and i can still see that.

Not only are they not the same person all the other people including the security are gone just before it blows but 2 seconds before they are there strange indeed. There is too big a time lapse obviously edited at least.

That video has been edited… at 37sec the lobby has people along the left wall, at 38sec it shows one single person in a white shirt and nobody else along the left wall and then a huge dust cloud.
Guess we will find out later what specific people had to be silenced, and others who were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Seriously more and more of this crap keeps happening, and it somehow always turns out to be goverment.
They attempt to hollywood up these videos and do a really see through job everytime. Cant wait to see the neew “enhanced” version of the fake moon landing, complete with a non waving flag, only one shadow (instead of the 2-3 from the stage lights) and some moon dust getting kicked into the atmosphere when they walk.
Im sick of this false video proof they are feeding us with some false flag operation.
Have you seen all these iranian kids inside the building getting tear gassed because their leeaders are pre-determined? This is the american way!
All the lies and deaths to cover up the truth, its so sad.

Man, all of you…. Really? It’s good to be discerning, but come on… Let’s try not to get so wrapped up in stuff that we lose sight…
Now, what is common for the media to do is zoom in on the part of a video they want you to focus on. It’s a common practice. The “tracking” of the camera is not by the security at the hotel, but by tvOne’s video editors. It cuts buck, showing the original (unzoomed) view, so we can get a better grasp of the explosion.
@IcallBS: There does seem to be a cut there, I agree. Before the cut someone is moving from the right side to the left in the bottom. However, after the cut I see three people along the left wall: a man in black suit (closest to the explosion); a man in a black suit across from a guy wearing white near the luggage cart. Then a fourth person,wearing white, crossing the lobby. My question: was the video provided like that or is it more editing on tvOne’s or CNN’s behalf?

Obviously not in real time! Between 38 seconds and 39 seonds must be off by a minute or so! Looks like they are trying to blame this guy for the bomb!
Also, I heard this hotel had top notch security! Where is the check point prior to this lobby!
I say this man is not the bomber.

In most hotels top notch security is a bit different than in a nuclear lab. I’ve never been to this country, but in all the other countries I’ve been to, the hotels that were secure by hotel standards still had to fall far short of real security or else no one would put up with it. Guests tend to be one-time users if you start searching their luggage and shit like that.

i am skeptical is grainy low quality video in 2009.

Interesting side note:
The icon visible on the floor [ +38 seconds ] at center image is a circle with a dot in the center.
Although this icon could mean many things to many people… this design is viewed by some to be ‘ The Sun Icon”.

@neon: It’s not grainy or black and white. The problem here is that we aren’t seeing the raw, first generation of the video. The tape was played for press who recorded that showing. Then other agencies recorded off of live feeds broadcasting it or from other showings… as you can see quality is lost. In the coming days the investigators might release that raw video. Until then…

There is a one minute cut there (as shown by the camera’s time coding)… probably for brevity. And yeah what a strange way to carry a bag! You can definitely see those guards are suspicious.
@James: You never seen a report filed from a Treo?
If all you have to transmit breaking news is some crappily compressed footage you have on your BlackBerry, you still send it back to your editor and the agency makes do until something better comes along.

I agree… have since seen better quality video from other sources, and you are correct.
They subsequent video i have seen although still low res is neither b/w nor grainy.
as far as “The Sun Sign” icon…. in the better quality video it appears to be a star within a circle…although the video quality prevents me saying for sure.
having said that.. I am still skeptical of low quality cctv footage [especially in a hotel like The Marriot] in 2009.

I can’t really tell if its reflections from lighting or what, but I see about 8 or so yellowish circles around the star burst looking thing in the center. I’m not too great with symbolism though…

Where the hell did the guy in a the white shirt/Black pants and the second security guard dissappear to at 42 seconds?
There must be atleast 10 people in the lobby at 40 seconds, then I see only 2 people at 43 seconds. WTF!!!
Also, if you like at my video link. Why is the man hugging the bag he’s carrying. I have to say upon further review. It does appear to be a bomb. Which is probably the reason why the two security guards are starring at him walking by.

Theres something wrong here, this video is on a blackberry and sold as the video from cameras inside. There are gaps in this footage, these guys could have delivered the bombs and left them to detonate.

this is my assumption from looking at the video. the guy walking with the luggage roller is the guy responsible for the blast. there are bombs inside the luggage he was pulling along with him. If you notice the camera cuts to blast after he disappears into the shadow, probably enough time for him to get far enough to detonate. the blast was big but it didn’t look like it was that huge.

When President Ziaul Haq of PAkistan was killed in a plane crush (on board a T33 military aircraft) the US ambasador to Pakistan was also killed, but that was just to show the world that USA or CIA was not behind the killing.
The fun part of today’s world of internet and cell phone camera is that all those age old tricks that British taught the Americans do not work any longer, simply because some odd person is now equiped with a cell phone camera, internet You Tube, etc. in every incidennce.
Please try some new tricks and if you have run out of all tricks then please let the wolrd live in peace and stop the antiques.
