House approves $700B bailout bill

WASHINGTON – With the economy on the brink and elections looming, Congress approved an unprecedented $700 billion government bailout of the battered financial industry on Friday and sent it to President Bush for his certain signature.
The final vote, 263-171 in the House, capped two weeks of tumult in Congress and on Wall Street, punctuated by daily warnings that the country confronted the gravest economic crisis since the Great Depression if lawmakers failed to act.
Bush was poised to make a statement on the historic vote.

The entire financial system is in the process of blowing up. Already there have been over $500 billion in bank losses, with over $1 TRILLION more to come! Conservatively over one dozen Banks have FAILED, with hundreds on deck. A handful of large hedge funds have blown up, with hundreds more on the way. Sure where does an American line up to pay this debt? I mean 700 BILLION isnt all that much really. I mean it probably could fund education, Health Care, Credit Card Bill of Rights, Alternative Energy such as Solar and Wind. But I say What The Hell lets feel what its like to make the WRONG descision. Lets just spend our way out of this MESS with nothing to show for it. Everyone else good with that? I am amazed at how quick certain congress-people can change their mind. Is the reasoning behind their decision a result of the new sugar coat on The Bill or did their pockets just get fatter overnight? The only one’s we bailed out were Bush and his friends.

We should’nt be suprised. But that does’nt mean we should’nt be pissed. I am pissed off. I have 4 years of college and the only job I can find pays $6.85/hour with 21 hours per week. My wife has a degree in accounting and she has been diligently job searching for a year since she got layed off (fired). We go to food pantries. We have 2 paper routes and we scrounge for aluminum cans 6 days per week. Our natural gas bill is $200.00 per month and we live in a little tiny house. We NEVER eat out. We do not eat meat, we eat beans and cornbread and pancakes. We buy our kids clothes (and ours) at Goodwill. Now I AM greatful for the food we have and shelter. I thank God for that and for our good health. But what I am pissed about is that there are millions of families going broke, unemployed, going without medicine, going without medical treatment, running out of unemployment eligibility, and these greedy fucking bastards are taking the last Goddamn scraps of American money because they didn’t make enough billions in profit. They shot down extending your unemployment benefits because the CEOs of the big corporations are not happy with 50 million dollar bonuses, they need 100 million dollar bonuses. So your little girl is going to have to go without boots this winter Mr. Smith, we need this money so Mr. Paulsons family can get 2 new Lear jets. Oh and Mrs. Johnson, your going to have to do without that insulin this year, because the Federal reserve needs that money so that their profit margin does not go under 15%. They have to make sure that the millionaires and billionaires can continue doubling their money all you unemployed workers in Ohio and the midwest, so thank you for not making a fuss about the bailout (suckers). And all you people getting ready to lose your house, I’m afraid you better start packing and boxing up your stuff because the Chinese own your house now and they contribute more to the campaign than you American saps do. So suck it up suckers, and dont think about getting uppity because the troops are on the streets of America now and they hope they dont have to shoot any of you.

We are now covering up predatory lending with more predatory lending. We cannot sit by and be idle at our desks just blogging and discussing while being robbed and held hostage by Wall St. Those times have to end. If you do not have money you cannot spend money. This is not rocket science. We have been warned and largely we did nothing. All the while we throw money at the Iraqi government with their 80 billion dollar surplus. Even the conservative establisment in the media is beginning to ask questions and that is a good thing because if we can get the Bush sheeple to wake up and see whats going on then we have a fighting chance. Stand up and fight like Alex says we need to get on all of the conservative radio shows like Rush and Hannity and Micheal Savage and start speaking the truth and make them stand down like Cheney made NORAD stand down on 9/11!!!! We need to run our own virtual planes into their buildings and make them run scared..if they dont have any support from the public and the military they wont have anything to back them up and they will HAVE to stand down and we will take back power.We need to flood the conservative market and get them on our side..

Good news is on the horizon. With the election of the most liberal senator in Congress we can expect positive changes to the way Americans view one another. An organization called Unity House will soon be lobbying for the job of bringing the nation under one roof. Once approved and funded by Congress one million educators will spread out over the nation with the task of promoting tolerance for diverse lifestyles. This will be done by the knocking on every door by groups of socially diversified educators. They will be spreading the word that we are all brothers and sisters that must learn to love one another. Each group will be made up of five educators. They will come from racially mixed and diverse backgrounds with a variety of mindsets with no lifestyle excluded. Another task this group will have is to find out if there is enough room available to accommodate a homeless person. If there is—free transportation with a food and clothing allowance will add another member to the family. Our nation has gone through years of civil unrest but it has finally coming to an end by having Americans tolerating, sharing and living together under one roof.

Since 91% of Americans said No Bailout, then it stands to reason that we can make a difference. On your postcard or other flyer, encourage others to take back our country by;
