Production at Libya’s Amal oil field, one of the OPEC producer’s four largest, has not been disrupted by an uprising seeking to topple the country’s leadership, an official at the field said.
“There have been no disruptions to production from the al-Amal field,” an official at the field’s operations department told Reuters.
Amal is the third-biggest oil field in Libya’s east, and is one of the country’s top four oil fields. Three of the largest fields are in the east of Libya and one is in the west.
