After spending his 17th birthday in a hospital bed with a broken back and foot, Mace Hutchinson is home from the hospital recovering from his harrowing experience.
Discovered underneath an overpass by Ozark police after a 30 foot fall, Mace was then tasered 19 times by authorities who said it was necessary for Mace’s safety, and that of the officers who allegedly felt threatened by statements they claim Mace made after the fall.
Sara Sheffield, of KY3 News, the reporter who originally covered Mace’s story went to his home to follow up on his progress:
“There’s no way that they had to Tase me that many times,” he said.
Mace spent his 17th birthday lying in a hospital bed.
“I had a broken back, broken foot.”
Nearly two weeks later, he’s out of the hospital but still lying in bed, hardly able to move.
“It should be a couple months before I’m able to walk on my own.”

His family says what made his situation worse is that his surgery had to be postponed because he had been stunned by Ozark police 19 times.
“At least I’m alive though.”
Mace says he still can’t remember how he ended up at the bottom of the bridge. He says he knows he didn’t willingly jump.
“I know I’m lucky to survive that far of a fall.”
Police records say Hutchinson was aggressive with them, and tried to get up and get into traffic. Mace points out that he doesn’t weigh much and wonders why an officer didn’t just restrain him.
Police also say he yelled threatening remarks about harming officers. Those things combined were why they used the electric stun gun on him.
“He was saying things like, ‘Kill cops, shoot cops,’ Ozark Police Capt. Thomas Rousset said on July 23.
Mace says he doesn’t remember that and certainly doesn’t know how it would have been possible, with his injuries, for him to move toward the highway.
“There’s no way I could stand up. I had a broken back and a broken foot,” he said.
“I definitely want them to get punished, I don’t want them to get away with it.”
The Ozark Police Department did not return any calls inquiring on the progress of the internal probe of the incident that Police Captain Thomas Rousset told KY3 News, had begun.

If I was his mother I would go after those cops with every legal means available. I’m sure their lawyers know it’s a very WINable case. And it’s not just suing that police dept for the boy’s near fatal, victimization…it would be a service for ALL AMERICANS to follow through with this suit.
Take is easy, Mace. Be careful not to push yourself too soon. WE’re sorry this happened to you… Get well!

This absurd. I was a part time police officer when I was a paramedic. I carried a pistol, shotgun, an asp, and a can of pepper spray. Myself and two other officers restrained a knife wielding drunk woman without every drawing a weapon.
That woman was 50# bigger than this kid. Heck, if this kid did not have a weapon and had a broken back and foot then these ‘officers’ should be ashamed!

There should be a public panel where the public can vote to fire (and in some cases discipline) public officials who aren’t doing their job… serving the public. Incorporate that into yer liberty movement thingy….

if a 140 pound unarmed suspect is lying on his back injured, i dont care if he is making friggin bomb threats, just get out the handcuffs and recite to him his miranda rights and let him say what he wants on record. Then get the man an ambulance. That is all.

I just wanna know why cops lie? I seen the interview with the sherriff or whoever he is and he’s a freakin Liar!! anybody can tell that….Geeez, when these people are getting theirs, I bet the yell and cry and say please oh please, i’m sorry…But, ya know what guys and gals of the police force’s…You’re gonna suffer really bad, because of all the lies and corruption. How can you even live with the knowledge that you’ve done somebody wrong, unjustly, unfairly, unGODLY Wrong!!…..You police are suppose to protect the public, not be smartasses and crooks just because your wife is screwing your best friend….All of this makes me sick to my stomach and I almost wish I was never born. Right on, Jack. When I was with the LAFD, I can’t remember how many times we has to restrain people who became violent towards us or someone on scene until police arrived. We did this with NO weapons, just 2″ medical tape.

This is in response to “we all know nothing”. To a degree yer name says it all about this liberty thingy. The cop who tased that kid over and over again while he laid there paralyzed should get a MINIMUM of ten years in prison.
And I would be sure to send letters to the inmates of that prison, letting them know all about their new friend’s former occupation and what he was convicted for.

This is a real tragedy that seems to be happening far too often. What bothers me is how the department covers up for these criminal acts, and why the police cannot see kids as kids instead of an enemy or any real threat. We need to realize that there is a serious brain washing problem when police look at everyone as a potential serious threat like the military does, instead of civilians usually needing protection.
I and, I think many of you would like to support the police when possible, realize they have a difficult job, and would like to see a return to better relations between the police and the community. I would like to hear the whole story, however, if the police departments are going to hire war vets without retraining them to “protect and serve”, cover-up for their crimes, take federal money and federal training/brain washing, then there does need to be a strong aggressive prosecution of criminal acts regardless of who is doing them, and aggressive legal action against the government entities allowing institutionalized crime to continue.
I would like to see the federal government out of state and local police and more local civilian/community advisors to work with police on problems needing special attention instead imposing an overall militaristic approach to everything. I think the police see the Taser as a toy that they can use for instant punishment, but not cause permanent harm, and that has proven to be a very false assumption. Coming from Iraq or Afganistan, it would seem more like a toy and this is why a new mindset has to be established.
I agree with the idea of a Patriot Defense Fund to legally expose and prosecute the complete chain of criminals responsible for creating this situation, including those responsible for training our police in Israel or any other foreign location, and file civil suits making these crimes horrific for the criminals as well as the victims, and we need to drive anyone supporting criminal actions of government officials out of office and out of the country.
I am tired of arrogant criminals and liars finding it too comfortable here in America.

The police chief is in COVER UP mode. They will do their PHONY “investigation” and the THUGS/cops will be found to “innocent” they MIGHT throw the youngest officer under the bus, which will include nothing more than a week or two un-paid leave and he will have to do some bogus classes. ut even that punishment will probably be suspended.
Remember, they have to LIE and HIDE what their GANG members do or else they face lawsuits, and the police chief is not willing to lose any money coming in to his department so he will do EVERYTHING he can to COVER IT UP. He will insist it is the kids fault.

I wonder if the kid was on crystal meth or something? Did any of you see the documentary American Drug War – where they had footage of the kid on meth and he was saying all sorts of crazy things? Also, the 19yr old in this case states he can’t remember how he fell or saying any of the things he said. It could also be he was in shock and not on any type of drug.
I only say this as an observation, because the fact is the kid had a broken back and foot and there’s no way those jackboot perpetrators needed to use any weapon on that twig of a kid to get him cuffed and stuffed.
I truly hope justice is served – street justice, if all else fails.

Here’s how it probably went down….The kid didn’t ‘comply’, then tase #1. He still didn’t ‘comply’ because he obviously couldn’t, then tase #2. At that time kid starts wailing about mother fucking nazi pig cops and how they should be killed invoking 17 extra jolts by these (probably fat) shaved headed wanna-be coward Nazi bastards.
What we’re not covering here is our right to defend ourselves when physically attacked by anyone, even Nazi pigs. If a citizen of this country is attacked physically, we have every right to defend ourselves under the 2nd amendment. No one, not even a Nazi pig, has the right to harm someone physically soley based on a verbal attack. I don’t care what their fucking rules say.

At least it is amazing that the youtube video about this has made it up to 719 views in three days. That truly shows the public interest regarding an attempt of homicide by the US police force against a badly wounded kid.
It´s those pictures and those story that ruins the credibility of the former republic USA, additional to the so-called “war on terror” worldwide.

I’m really starting to doubt that the boy said anything like “Kill the MF Pig”,
I’m starting to think that the cops where bored and mental, and enjoy torching people, maybe they get some kind of sexual pleasure out it, it was a good thing that it wasn’t a woman she might have been raped, and kept longer before getting medical help, or even allowed to die.
Even if the kid did say things, it is obvious that he was out of it, and/or in Fear for his own life when the cops showed up obviously NOT to help him.
Every one of those cops should be put in prison for attempted murder and even kidnapping since they didn’t call for medical help, and instead kept him as a prisoner, under there physical restrain and torcher.
The boy will have flash backs, and will remember what happened, but it could take years before that does happen, and then I hope he has them charged and sued again for the things that he doesn’t remember.

Cops remind me of the “Crossing Guards” from elementary school.
I remember the Crossing Guards just loved to harass people for no reason at all, relishing in their new found power.
They would prance around with their iridescent orange, criss-crossed belts over their shirts, looking down at you through their noses, trying to intimidate you whenever possible. I even remember them physically grabbing people, and shoving them in line (assault) while screaming at the top of their lungs in your ear.
In retrospect, the Crossing Guards were probabaly part of some psyop program meant to select sadistic bully personality types for later use with the government.
I bet a lot of cops used to be crossing guards.

I’m guessing the poor kid never actually said anything to cops until he was rudely tased and attacked by the cop, at which point there was nothing he could do to retaliate or defend himself so he just began cursing.
The whole story that the cops gave people that the kid was shouting kill cops is totally a twisted version to make them look justified. Even he the kid was 100% able and shouting these things there wouldn’t be a justification to tase him 19 times.
This whole story is mind blowing and outrageous. The cops behaviors is probably worse than the ones that killed that one guy at the airport.
