Iran plans to stage the first night-time maneuvers in its special petrochemical trade zone to boost civil defense capability for times of crisis.
“All programs of the drills have been finalized,” Caretaker of HSE Affairs at Iran’s Civil Defense Organization Mansour Rostamifar said, addressing a gathering of civil defense authorities.
“The drills are planned to be conducted by the civil defense organization after they receive the final approval,” Rostamifar added.
He said that the drills are aimed at boosting readiness for emergency conditions, assessing coordination and cooperation levels among HSE companies, and evaluating evacuation speed in emergency conditions and performance of firefighters’ directors and officers outside office time.
Earlier this year, Head of Iran’s Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali announced that Tehran has established an economic and a cyber defense base to counter and decrease enemies’ threats to the Iranian security and society.
