Is Swine Flu A Race-Specific Virus?
First death in U.S. is Mexican toddler, prompting questions about why only hispanics have died despite outbreak spreading to at least ten countries

The first swine flu death in the United States has been confirmed, but the victim is a Mexican toddler who caught the illness in Mexico before traveling to Texas. Serious questions must now be asked about why a virus that has spread across at least 10 countries and is suspected in many others has only killed hispanics, and whether a race-specific bio-weapon is being beta-tested.
Scientists are still baffled as to the contrast between the lethality of the virus in Mexico compared to the rest of the world. Despite the virus being confirmed in the United States, Canada, the UK, Spain, New Zealand, Germany, Costa Rica, and Austria, with probable cases also occurring in France, South Korea and Slovakia, the virus has killed only Mexicans.
We are also told that the virus which sickened students at a school in Queens is the same strain as the one found in Mexico.
How can it be that the only fatalities are Mexican hispanics nearly a week into the outbreak?
Race-specific viruses can occur naturally, but this is a rare phenomenon. Is the swine flu virus a synthetically manufactured race-specific bio-weapon being beta-tested in preparation for more deadly pandemics in the future?
The U.S. military-industrial complex’s interest in race-specific bio-weapons as a tool of warfare is not a paranoid conspiracy theory – it’s outlined in their own public documents.
“Advanced forms of biological warfare that can target specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool,” stated the September 2000 Rebuilding America’s Defenses report released by the Project For A New American Century – the ideological framework of the Bush administration.
In 2006, Armed Forces Journal, a mouthpiece for the military-industrial complex, carried a military strategy plan written by retired Major Ralph Peters which called for “ethnic cleansing” to be instituted in the Middle East so that the region could easily be dominated by the joint interests of Israel and the United States.

As far back as 1998, Wired Magazine, citing the London Times, carried a report detailing the fact that Israel was already readying race-specific weapons for this very purpose.
“Israel is reportedly developing a biological weapon that would harm Arabs while leaving Jews unaffected, according to a report in London’s Sunday Times,” stated the article.
“The report, citing Israeli military and western intelligence sources, says that scientists are trying to identify distinctive genes carried by Arabs to create a genetically modified bacterium or virus.”
Wikipedia – that bastion of credibility – claims that the story was debunked but fails to provide conclusive evidence.
Strong speculation that recently constructed bio-defense facilities in the United States are being used to conduct with race-specific bio-weapons has also come from credible sources.
A 1999 UK Sunday Herald piece highlighted a report by the British Medical Association which concluded that race-specific bio-weapons would be ready within 5 years, “enabling governments to target victims solely on their genetic make-up.”
“Genetic weapons capable of wiping out specific ethnic groups are no longer the stuff of science fiction, military and scientific advisers with the British and American governments have admitted,” states the report.
“Professor Vivienne Nathanson, head of the BMA’s health policy research, said: “Biological weapons had limited use due to the shortcoming of being unspecific in targeting. “However, genetic targeting is now possible. Probably in the next five to 10 years we will see the manufacture of relatively specific biological weapons which are lethal in small volumes.”
The article explains how FBI crime labs have stumbled across genetic markers specific to blacks, whites, hispanics and native Americans during routine work. The same markers have been discovered in Palestinians, setting them apart from Israelis.
“If you add together a number of different markers for different populations you can start to be specific to a target population,” states Nathanson.
Lest we forget the innumerable instances where pioneering eugenicists and members of the global elite have publicly called for the earth’s population to be reduced to “sustainable” levels.
Perhaps the most infamous example of this is Prince Philip, the husband of the Queen of England, who has repeatedly expressed his desire to return to earth as a “particularly deadly virus” to “cull” the surplus human population.
As Alex Jones documents in his seminal documentary End Game, this mind set is endemic amongst the elite.
So having established the fact that race-specific bio-weapons have already been produced and are ready for use, and having confirmed that the elite have repeatedly expressed a desire to use them, it’s necessary to ask whether or not hispanics are being targeted by the swine flu outbreak as a beta-test of these weapons.
Since the common flu virus does kill people every year, a handful of non-hispanic deaths attributed to swine flu will not disprove this hypothesis, which will remain a possibility unless we see a significant number of fatalities of non-hispanics.

If this current virus is race specific, don’t mean that there won’t be ethnic thinning in all types of the human race as they see fit. The elite will probably keep whomever fits their needs the most for specific areas and that will include pretty much every nationality of sorts.

There’s information from the Houston hospital that this little 2 year old was born pre-mature and had lung problems. He wasn’t the healthiest person so there’s something to be said about that. If they continue to push that he was a healthy 2 year old, that is wrong.

It came to me that the reason that the flu is attacking only latinos/hispanics is there is a setup.
The conspirators in this assault have planned to expose a “nutsoid” anti-immigration biochemist in order to discredit those that oppose the governments border policies.
There will be an entire little “terror cell” working from some basement in Laredo with totally inadequate tools to produce this kind of toxin, but the government will state that “somehow” they were able to do it.

You’re getting the two groups confused, Mexicans are a hybrid race. If a genetic weapon is created, it will be specific against a group of people, not everyone partially related. They could simply be testing this to see how effective it is, doesn’t mean this is the big one we’ve all been told to wait for. Next time, it may be blacks or arabs.

I think he does. Mexicans are mixed – part native American, part Spanish. They’ve previously targeted specific ethnic groups through the use of vaccines. AIDS in Africa, smallpox in the Phillipines, polio in the Australian Aboriginal population; this isn’t theory, it’s documented fact.

Most Spaniards are white, while Mexicans are actually for the most part American Indian, with a bit of white admixture. I’ve been to Spain, and I’ve been to Mexico, and there’s a huge amount of difference; the two countries are more different than the United States is from Britain. My suspicion is that a virus tailored to kill Mexicans would also kill many Native Americans.

This appears to be the piece of the puzzle in explaining why this disease hasn’t spread all over the world in any significant numbers. It isn’t unusual to see others who might be infected, since many Mexicans have white ancestory. This does explain the fatalities, as normally, flu isn’t deadly.

Consider this: (and I am a trained microbiologist and nutrionist)
1. In general Mexicans have a poor diet leading to depeleted antibodies in the immune sytem.
2. Failure to seek medical advice early after having been infected with a new virus can be fatal.
3. Slow response and inadequate medication can be fatal.
4. The use of face masks is not a good protection for Mexicans. In fact it may even be helpful in spreading the disease. When face masks become wet as a result of respiration through the fine fibres, theses same fine fibres become wet and in fact act as a catalyst to transfer the bateria inwards towards the nasal passages instead of makng a block. Typical bacteria measures between 0.5 and 0.9 microns in diameter. The typical surgical style mask can only filter particles greatr that 2.0 microns! Instead of drinking fluids to allow the mucous to thin and be coughed up easier, they take “cough medicine” and leave the crap in their lungs.

The point of the masks is not to filter particles from the air, but to trap the airborne respiratory fluids released by others from sneezing, coughing etc. Trapping the fluid droplets thus traps the active virus in the droplets on the mask. I would agree with the disposal of such items though, as they can harbor the active virus for a few hours after contact with infected materials

well, the virus seems to only kill mexicans, and it appears to be the opposite of a normal flu, a normal flu is dangerous for the very young and old, and those with weak immune systems.

If this is a race specific weapon, quite a large chunk of the population in Texas should be worried, as there is a HUGE Mexican community there, as well as most other bordering states. The same goes for Israel, if they attempted to create a virus to target Palestinians, well, they’d die to as they share more genetic material than they have differing.
Could it possibly be pigmentation specific? I’ve heard things about bio weapons being designed, or being thought up, that would target victims based on skin pigmentation.
Then there’s the dual virus scenario, maybe there’s a fatal virus in Mexico, and a milder one in the US, giving the people in the us time to build immunity, so when the fatal virus hits, they won’t be fatalities, tho they could very well still be carriers.

Native North Americans (Indians) are essentially Asians genetically speaking. It is thought that sometime in the distant past Asians migrated across a land or ice bridge to colonize the Americas. The majority of Mexicans have significant element of this “Asian blood” in them. It is possible that a virus has been engineered that is specifically targeted at Asian genotype. I’m not saying this is the case. We don’t know. Watch what happens when this flu makes it’s way (and it will) to the Asian continent.

Mexico has Europeans, Indians, Arabs, Asian and many mixtures in between. I recently watched a show on tv like Forensic Files or something like that where the perpetrator of a murder left a blood droplet at the scene. Although they did not have a DNA reference sample, the scientist could tell by the genetic makeup that they were looking for an individual who was Western European with blond hair and blue eyes. Pretty much narrowed it down now that they have mapped the Human Genome. I know that you can now submit a blood sample to some genealogical groups who can test your DNA and give you a report which tells you what percentage Caucasian, AmInd, African, etc., you are. I am sure this particular science has gone far beyond this. Nothing surprises me anymore.

First of all, in Mexico there are two different “races” of people. The Spanish immigrants and the native Mexicans like the Mayan decendents. This difference has evolved into class prejudice. However, the phenomena could support this wild theory, or it could simply be a health/diet/treatment problem.
If the upper class Spanich (European) decentends do not have the death rate as the less economic priveledged native Mexican decendents, that could still support a difference in the quality of healthcare/diet/treatment between the two classes.
Obviously, no one knows yet what could possibly be the root to the specific ways this virus is attacking Mexicans. This report is nothign more than what we typicall see from Alex Jones’ cronies. This document only questions the possibility not confirms anything.

I don’t dispute that genetic targeted viruses exist or that Israel has a bioagent that can target the Arab world, a much more genetically homogeuous race than Mexico. They do exist.
I want to point out that Mexico is very diverse, and that, for example, people of “pure” European stock are dying and falling ill in the same statistical proportion as the “prototypical” Mexican. Mexico is racially divided, to large extents, along a North/South boundary where Northern Mexico, devoid of the many Indian tribes, was colonized, not unlike the US, by Europeans while the South, heavily populated by tribes, remained very mestizo-like.
What we have today is that both white North and brown South are being hit hard, regardless of genetic code, European and Mestizo alike. I think I, being from Mexico, would recognize this reality better than most and yes, I can look at a person’s facial bone structure and know from where they are from, especially in Mexico. If you have lived in Europe for any amount of time you become quiet adept at this, pointing to which European or Middle East nation a person is from.

The fact that this “swine flu” has originated in North America and appears to be highly contagious worrys me. It very well could be bioengineered and not in the way the article suggests. Perhaps it is designed to mutate to become more contagious and deadly as it spreads. I’m sure many readers of Prison Planet are aware of “FEMA coffins” that just happen to be in liberal supply in the southern U.S.. As the virus spreads like wild fire, the southern U.S. would be affected first and perhaps most severely. If this is some Bilberberg/U.N. bioweapon then those living in the southern U.S. have much to fear.

This line of discussion is assuming facts not in evidence. there is no proof of any conspiracy.There is only speculation until the facts are known. There is a fact i didn’t hear anyone talk about and that is the 50 some specialized microbiologists that have all died at young ages under suspicious circumstances. The ones that died beyond the 50 number which is somewhere around 60 were not suspicious. These deaths occurred in the last couple years. As far as all the racist comments go, please remember that everyone wants to live with their own kind in there hearts of hearts. The Mexican strain is the deadly flu virus while a less deadly, but similar virus has been unleashed on America. They needed the death count to begin the fear mongering necessary to forwarding their agenda. This was done now for two reasons. First because in a few days the governments banking industry stress evaluation report comes out. It has been leaked that as many as eighteen major and thousands of other smaller banks are insolvent. This information will cause a major run on the banks. Once the public feels the economic instability and associates the government with the gov/wall street pozi scheme civil unrest will definately occur. If there is a pandemic people will either be too affraid or too sick to chase down the culprets.
Second. in order to make this manmade pandemic appear legitimate it has to first peak and then sort of go into a state of remission for a period of time before reemerging in the more deadly fashion.

In the ’80s South Africa was working on a bacteria that targeted blacks, so this is definitely not impossible. I remember during the SARS outbreak I travelled a lot between Australia and the US and hearing rumors how it was only affecting asians. Never heard one way or the other if that was true. I’m certainly open to the idea of a virus or bacteria attacking only one particluar race, such things happen all the time to other animals naturally, why should humans be any different?
Not sure what the value of biologically attacking Mexico would be, though.

At the attached link, you will find an articles printed by the Workers World Party. They put the emergence of this strain of the swine flu in the context of the huge and extremely profitable hog farming facility owned by Smithfield and operated by its Mexican subsidiary, Granjas Carroll de Mexico. The construction of this facility had been protested by the local Mexican residents and may be contaminating their ground water supply.
What is the take of this kind of information? Though some folks here are speculating the possibility of this illness to being races specific, what is the plausibility of this issues being a result of the NAFTA trade agreement and unregulated production and exploitation of the environment of communities on foreign soil.
Again, I would like for us to not start pointing the guns at each other and start targeting our common enemies. These capitalist, profit driven demon that control our trade and labor would create such a problem then exploit that issue by calling it a pandemic and not addressing to issue. Come up with band aid treatments and vaccine “solutions” to maybe initiate a plan they had in mind already.
Remember that the Mexicans are leaving home because the same land that these corporations exhaust with their hog farming facility, used to provide food and a livelihood for the people who are forced to migrate to the US for work. We need to confront the problem at its source. On one hand, we are losing jobs when Smithfield-like corporations go abroad to exploit another people, but on the other hand, to hell with hog farming and other practices that contaminate the land we live on and create terrible public health situations.
We need for them to shut that place down … and we need to boycott Smithfields! We also need to tell them mofos in the CDC to take their so called vaccines and shove it up their @$$. We are not going to deal the problem by trying to inoculate ourselves from something that is the result of poor practices! And if this disease is man-made on top of the Smithfield problem I say to hell with a government that doesn’t have any care for its people and is willing to murder/ endanger massive populations to protect the interests of corporations and the elite!
Don’t think that Mexico is suffering only. In the US, north Carolinian are suffering from a similar situation with hog farming that poses a serious public health risk. We need to do something about this BS! I say we shut them mofos down and take back our communities from these corporations.

Uhm the kid who died in Texas, my home state, was from Mexico visiting family.

This is irresponsible reporting at its worst. In the first place, there is no evidence that Israel is making a “race-specific” virus and in the second place such a virus would not be possible because genetically-speaking Arabs and Jews share the same genetic heritage in many cases. In fact, Jews have been found to belong to a variety of different haplotypes, many of which are common among Europeans and others are common among “semitic” peoples. Do the research on you’ll see this is the case. So, that accusation is just anti-Semitic nonsense even if that is not the intention of the folks who are reprinting this foolishness here.
Additionally, it is too early to speculate whether the so-called swine flu will only prove to be lethal to Hispanics. It is natural that there are more deadly strains there since that is where the epicenter of the outbreak occurred and there is probably more variety in the manifestations of the virus there as a result. It is also possible that many more people got sick than what is known, and that the majority did not die.
Prison Planet has published some interesting stuff in the past, but this one is way off base. It sounds like paranoic hysteria to me.

Like I said, the claim that Israel is developing race-specific bioweapons is totally ludicrous since many Arabs belong to the same genetic haplogroup as Jews and that Jews, in general, belong to tons of different haplogroups including some that are very prevalent among European populations generally. This myth was undoubtedly spread by some anti-Semitic moron. It’s sad to see that the folks at Prison Planet are raising it as a serious issue.
And, it is irresponsible to report that the swine flu is targeting just “Hispanics” in the absence of concrete evidence to the contrary. The epicenter of the outbreak occurred there and it seems natural that that is where the most deaths would occur, at least initially.

Listening to Alex’s Sunday broadcast, we learnt from a caller in Mexico, that 70% of folk were affected. so we can probably expect a high incidence worldwide. This flu bug came out of a test tube, they have admitted it! The thing that bothers me, is that a rampant flu pandemic is the perfect cover for mass assasination. Just for instance, folk that help Dr. Ron Paul with his H.R. 1207 ‘Audit The Fed’ Bill, might come down all of a sudden with a slightly more deadly version of this test-tube flu?…How would anyone know? it’s unlikely it would rouse any suspicions. AS far as Mexico having mixed races, well yes, but this is the case with most races, however the greater majority of Mexicans are of indigenous race (Meztiso (S), mainly native Indian, with a few having a little percentage of Spanish and some 100% Spaniard blood. (which are White Europeans for the ignorant amongst us.) So it would be an easy enough thing for them to concoct a ‘cocktail’ tailor made to target say all with indigenous blood (which tend to breed the most stats show) and are also the majority of the population. For those of you that think this is sci-fi, better google race-specific bio-terrorism, bio-weapons. This has been around for awhile now and is nothing new. I am willing to bet it has been refined to target the most specific of races/ environments. It would be interesting to see how many of the deaths in Mexico are of mixed, mestizo or full euro bloodline. Betting on a crap table, you will find few if any full euros amongst the fatalities. And it may not be just because they live in better sanitation. I think Paul Watson may be on to something, at the very least we ought to keep an open mind. My only gripe with this article was Watsons use of the tern “Hispanic” as this is not a race. He ought to have said “Mexican” but perhaps he was treading lightly on such an explosive topic. As it is some of you ‘ignorantes’ called the article “racist”. ya, go ahead, play the NWO engineered race card you Sheeple. Truth hurts and you may not like it but it does not mean it is not true.

Personally, I wasn’t calling the article racist, I was calling the posters racist. Many people are here suggesting that it is a good thing if Mexicans die, along with certain anti-semetic comments.
The point is, of course we should consider it, but at this point this is not warranted. Does Mr Watson have ANY kind of medical training? Is he qualified to make these claims? Where is his evidence trail? Does he even have information on the deceased and their ethnicity? What have the effects been when we compare ‘white’ and Mexican? He is fear-mongering, it is his job.
This would never be published if the website held itself to certain standards.

That’s just it, they don’t hold themselves to any standards. Consider a recent radio guest, Steve Quayle. That fella has been saying the end of the world is nigh for the last 12 years at least. One of his former associates, a guy named James Lloyd went so far as to predict (or prophesy as he called it at the time) that the U.S. would be destroyed back in like 2000 or something along those lines and that we would enter the Great Tribulation in the year 2000. Here we are in 2009 and the US is still here and as far as I know we are not in any more tribulation than what is normal. And yet people still flock to these hucksters.
Since I’m non-religious, I sort of just laughed at all of this silliness — I suppose it had some twisted entertainment value at least — but I imagine that it scared the hell out of the little old ladies it was designed to scare so they’d buy all of his worthless junk and all the rest of it. Personally, I think these types of individuals should be held liable for using such tactics to basically rob people just like the big tele-evangelists do.
To the extent that there is truth in some of this site’s claims, they are there own worst enemy by publishing junk like this since it tends to make thinking people question the whole.

No one, as far as I know, would deny that if governments could develop ethnic-bio-weapons they would, but that is not the point. I am not saying it is not possible. What you are doing is tantamount to using Operation Northwoods as PROOF that 9/11 was an inside job. You can’t do that, you need EVIDENCE.
I have no truck with Mr Watson suggesting this as a possibility, alongside other theories, but this is not what he is doing here. Here he is spreading unverifiable untruths in order to increase his readership. He has provided us with no evidence to justify this article. The only evidence thus far is that a flu epidemic, that started in Mexico, and has only killed Mexicans. There are soooooo many explantions for this, including diet, healthcare, awareness, virus mutation, mutation with a localised virus, etc, etc, etc. The fact he has decided to propagate the notion, amongst all these other possibilities, that this is a racial attack on Mexicans (even though the Mexican ‘race’ is non-existent), says a lot for the credibility of everything on this website.
The sad fact is he has succeeded in what he set out to do. That says a lot for the average intelligence of the prisonplanet readership. Some of you have already swallowed this hook, line and sinker, without even seeing a single SHRED of evidence.

This is a crock of BS. Where are the sources for the quotes. I didn’t see them. Secondly, if you’ve studied genotypes and haplotypes, you’d know that there is a huge variety. So, for example, Jews who belong to say haplogroup J (one of the many that is representative of jewish populations) also share the very same haplogroup with people who are Palestinian Arabs. Likewise, the R group which is one of the most common in Europe in general is also found in Jewish populations. So, making a race-specific bioweapon is not really possible since it would target a wide variety of people, who though they share a similar genetic makeup, belong to different ethnic groups. This is idiotic. It is interesting also, that only Israel, is really targeted in the article you cite for supposedly developing these race-specific bioweapons and that the quotes are likely taken out of context. This smacks of mindless anti-Semitism to me. Where did these quotes come from and what is the whole context? People are twisting the facts to make them fit their own little conspiracy theories. This site just gets nuttier and nuttier with each passing day.

Is swine flu race specific? Could be. Even though humans are anywhere from 99 – 99.9% the same, the latter being only in homogenous cultures, there is still enough of a gap in DNA to use racial physiology in a weapon. This is how certain racial groups are more prone to diseases than others. This is due to different allele groups and haplo-type subclades.
It is possible that the virus is race-specific, but the reason why Mexicans are dying is because their country is 3rd world and their cities are highly dense. If Mexico was a great place to live then we wouldn’t have hordes of illegal invaders infiltrating the country; instead they’re getting away from the failing country because it lacks in a number of infrastructures – such as hospitals and sanitation, and well…jobs. Now, if Mexicans in the U.S. start dying over others of different racial biology then it will start to look like a race-specific virus. But, realistically the world needs to shed some of its population. The more we breed, the more dense our population becomes and that leads to the emergence of new diseases and viruses. China could use a drop in their numbers.

If it’s impossible then why are there manufactured drugs on the market which targets a certain racial groups ailments. Then why can we not manufacture a race-specific weapon? This is because the <1% genetic difference can play a big signifigance in a peoples’ susceptibility to genetic mutations and diseases. You never hear of caucasians getting sickle cell, unless they have negroid DNA. To say that there is no difference in human populations is a fallacy to science and neo-humanistic rhetoric.

Dr. Neil Rau says that the WHO’s pandemic plan is based on the assumption that an influenza virus will act like the deadly 1918 Spanish Influenza and easily kill multiple people. But he says the swine flu is looking more and more like the more common seasonal flu.
“I don’t agree with (the WHO) because I think it’s a panic metre, not a pandemic metre,” he told CTV Newsnet Wednesday. “We have just frightened everyone that catastrophe is imminent and yet no one is actually looking at the disease.”
He says that the death of a Mexican toddler and the illness of a pregnant woman show the swine flu acting more like the regular seasonal flu “except it’s out of the typical flu season.”
At level five, the WHO pandemic level is only one below its peak of six, which indicates a global pandemic. Phase 5 indicates community level outbreaks in more than one country.
But Rau points out that the virus has been significantly milder in the U.S. and Canadian cases, and those cases have almost always been traced back to a trip to Mexico.
“If that flu-like illness is not deadly, I don’t know what the cause for alarm is for people who are not really sickened by this virus,” Rau said. “I’m really eager to know how much worse this is than seasonal flu.
“So far it’s looking like it’s not that serious.”
The swine flu is suspected in the deaths of more than 150 Mexicans. No one has died from it elsewhere, except a young Mexican boy who was visiting the U.S.
Compared to the deaths caused by seasonal flu this year, swine flu is considerably less dangerous.
According to a recent U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s weekly report, more than 13,000 Americans have died from seasonal flu in 2009 alone.
The worldwide total for seasonal flu related deaths is generally between 250,000 and 500,000 a year.
Rau says that there is much debate in the scientific community about if swine flu should be considered a pandemic virus or just a new virus.
He expects the WHO will increase their pandemic level to Phase 6, but cautioned people about overreacting.
“The word pandemic is a loaded word, we think global catastrophe, and I don’t think that’s what we’re in for,” he said.

When Alex first started out and called attention to government abuses like Waco and others, it was refreshing. But over the years, this site has veered away from that and has become little better in my opinion than the Jerry Springer Show.
I say that the article above is bad journalism because the writer questions the assertion that Wiki and several news sources made that the whole Israel thing was a hoax (as I believe it was) and yet he does not question the unreliable nature of the original story which itself was not verified and no sources were given. It’s one thing to censor information — as many news sources do for various reasons and which is bad enough — but it’s almost as bad to quote and lend credence to unreliable, unverified sources.
This whole thing is nothing more than wild speculation and is not news at all. Nobody denies that viruses can be engineered. But many scientists apparently doubt that race-specific viruses can be engineered and I’ve yet to hear any scientist suggest or demonstrate that that is the case here, discounting osteopathic medicine as serious science anyway. So, this whole article is total nonsense, which is why I abandoned this site a long time ago as a reliable source for anything (although I occasionally look at it out of boredom mostly).
Taking sources out of context to fit a set of preconceived views is not journalism anymore than the Jerry Springer Show constitutes journalism. I’ve not seen one shred of evidence that the avian flu was an Israeli-engineered bioweapon and I doubt that any will be forthcoming. Jones and Co. are really over the top on this one.

I think it is a little too soon for PP to suggest this. Let’s wait and see what happens. Mexico doesn’t have the health care system most western countries have. Also, this thing has been active in Mexico for at least a month and probably longer, it has just recently been identified for what it really is. That being said it has also progressed for a longer period in Mexico. Here in the US and other parts of the world it is just beginning so I am sure it will get more serious in the coming weeks. Hopefully with our better health system we won’t experience the seriousness and death it has in Mexico.

Can anyone provide a link from a scientist who says that this is an engineered virus? I mean not just saying it is rare for this combination of virus to occur, but them saying it is clearly engineered? Is this just conjecture, or are there hard facts that this is human engineered, or are we basing allegations of engineering on assumptions?
I’m not saying it isn’t, but there seems to be so much conviction that this is engineered and not natural, I would assume there is a wealth of evidence out there to verify it.

Not sure it can be easily done…
If you consider that two parts of the genetic makeup of the new virus strain supposedly match European strain, and one part is something that’s been around the US for a while… Well, people travel. It’s still pretty damn coincidental, though. Then again, so is development of life on Earth
But I sincerely doubt any scientist can honestly claim being able to make the distinction right now. If parts of it exist in nature, and there is a possibility of a particular mutation to occur in nature (yes to both, apparently), your guess is as good as anybody else’s at that point until new information (statistical, this time – man-made strain will at some point show by sliding off one bell-curve or another) emerges to tip the scales.
Unfortunately, this gets to the point where you cannot really determine if somebody’s claims are true or not until people start dropping in droves (and, most likely, not even then, since an artificially developed virus can mutate as well).
Personally, I hope this is natural occurrence. Of course, the cynical side of me laughs at that with derision, but sometimes you just have to be optimistic. Right?

Based on the fact that there have only been 9 deaths so far, and the illness was spread from Mexico, the scientist inside me says ‘that this is a flue virus spread from mexico’. All of this race specific waffle is a rather thoughtless reaction. I am amazed that the author of the artical above managed to fill up so much space with waffle, based on so little evidence.
Sure this thing has spread fast, but it will take years of study to understand something like this.
It is not a fact that this was a lab created virus, although there is the possibility. More evidence is needed before anyone can surmise so much, from so little.

Some very interesting theories, so I’ll shoot in just one more. I find it rather improbable that this is gene specific mainly because “Mexicans” are basically bi-racial and they would have to target either any ‘white’ or ‘asian’ gene. That would leave alot of potential victims on both sides of the borders not just Mexico. Since genes (and presidents don’t recoginize borders) I dobt that that is the case. Rather what if the ‘original’ virus were initiated in one area (in this case in Mexico), and because is was possibly a man made modifaction that would lose strength as it fanned out over the globe. This is just a test. But what did Obama say–”there is opportunity in crisis” Maybe it is just an opportunity for the Pharmo companies to make money!!

I just love how more than half of the comments here are completely off base from what the actual article is about. The assumptions that some people make baffle my mind…….I mean the fact that this became an issue of being racist or not is utterly ridiculous and talk about not being taken serious by the majority of the population? As for my own opinion, hell, it is a def possibility that this is a beta test for future race-specific bio warfare. So far, evidence doesn’t disprove the theory……but even if it does, that’s not really the point…..point is….there are far too many facts and instances throughout time that point to SERIOUS corruption in our ranks.

VERY possible……just think….looking through a microscope at DNA samples, each one representing a different race of human.
We can all agree that DNA strands determine how a person looks, to one degree or another. I mean, animals like cats and dogs are made up of skin, hair, muscle….all the same things we are, but what makes them turn out so differently from one another?
Well, as our science tells us, that’s due to each animals DNA.
This being said…back to the microscope…….
we’re looking……we know that DNA is the make-up of the body of a species……and as we look from one specimen to the next, we begin noticing differences, minor ones, that at first are too small to notice, increasing the magnification on the specific area as we look deeper and deeper into the structure of the DNA until finally, we have located the few differences between each of the DNA strands.
We realize that these must be the very differences that determine just exactly what makes a white guy different from a black guy. If these differences did not exist, then there would be no difference between anyone. We would all look exactly the same.
I would say, considering that we’ve been able to look at DNA and determine what family an unidentified body is from, even exactly who that person was, that it is almost obvious that we have already located the difference in the DNA of different races even earlier.
Once you have that knowledge, it’s only a matter of taking virus’s and modifying them so that they will only attract to that specific difference in the DNA of their choosing. Once this is done, you have yourself a race-specific virus ready for testing!

PS. This is a VERY scary thing. Consider that in order to test something like this….you couldn’t just test it on rats or some other animals to get results to prove it’s effectiveness. I mean sure you could do it with certain animals and make it try and attract to one specific type or another, but the only real way to know for sure about this sort of thing would be to test on human subjects, and you’d need a lot of them!
Know of any large groups of people willing to subject to this sort of testing? I don’t!
Thereby, adding credibility to the theory of this being a government beta test for their new weapon.
Oh, and in a few months or a year, when the military starts using race-specific bio weaponry in our little “freedom fight” OR the areas we are targeting all of a sudden start coming down with some new unexplainable virus and dying……we’ll have our answer!
Otherwise, it seems unlikely of this being a test, as they WOULD test if planning to use this in actual combat, and I get the feeling that this sort of technology is well within the range of possibilities of what our government can do. So if it’s a test, we will see the results in the not to far off future, if not, then this was just another virus, man made or not. The point is, this article was made, and this theory is being circulated, and that is what matters. It’s credibility is really irrelevant. It needed to be brought up and discussed and made aware of so that it is there, on peoples minds, in ANY capacity.

well that’s the thing…if you were to develop a race-specific virus, the testing period would be the time in which you would work out these types of “kinks” in your weapons potency.
Officially, I cannot say whether or not something like this would effect people that have only a portion of their DNA from the target species, but I would have to assume that after proper testing the answer is “No” and here’s why…
The differences in DNA that discern between the races would change if and when mixed with DNA of other races. Therefore, during testing, you would end up continually mixing DNA’s with one another until you can isolate the part that is specific ONLY to the target DNA.
It’s basically the same idea as originally finding out what makes the races different, DNA speaking. It’s just an even more thorough and precise investigation into the DNA strands.
I think though, to really answer your question, the real factor is whether or not the ones that are going to be using this weapon decide that mixed race people are a part of the target group or not. Let’s say the target is Arab. The ones making the virus would first figure out just how much of the population is likely to be purely Arab vs mixed, and to make a decision based on those results as to whether or not they will need to isolate the DNA further or not. Basically, if they figure out that there are enough of the target race that are mixed, they aren’t even going to bother isolating the DNA further, but if the target population is in the majority 100% Arab, then I would say that they would isolate the DNA further, just to make sure it is controlled better.
In other words, it’s too early to tell if what is going on right now can cross into multi-racial individuals, but it is an absolute possibility.
Though in my opinion, there are enough differences between each races DNA and every time you take 100% single race DNA and add a different races DNA to make new DNA, you will get brand new differences from each of it’s parent DNA’s. So that being said, it’s only a matter of what the creator of the virus wants.

The level is closed to 6 but they won’t close the mexican border? Yes, the swine flu has spread but why would you put more people in danger by allowing the infected person(s) to infect others? When e coli or salmonella was found in food, what did they do? Stop production and manufacturing before the consumers buy the tainted items.

Just a quick observation but which is the most “cosmopolitan” (most diverse in ethnic spread) city in the world?

So, if they are able to get a very large sample of ethnic groups DNA and isolate certain unique receptors in each race’s cells and verify this against their database then they would technically have a marker for each race.

I didn’t read all the posts, but the first 10 to 15 are real doozies. First of all, if and I mean if, there is a race specific weapon, I feel sorry for that particular race in the military. Which means there is a antidote. Which brings in the 80 some odd dead Microbiologists and Scientists. Now the dead Scientists, are a real fact, no if ands or buts. That said, if you just sit and watch Springer and Wilkos, you can see, that the elete love pitting one race against the other. This really scares me. I have 8 children who are at least half Native American. Some are on a rez and I went to the appalacians. I have been having a disturbed feeling for a long time that the powers that be could kill a lot of Natives all at once because most live on a rez. How fast would it go through Indian territory? I was in shock when I heard of the genetic flu targetting Indians. That puts my 12 year old son at high risk. How about the people who have Native blood not living on reserve. Would they die too? How much Native would you need to be before it gets you? Some of the comments here have been awful. I have beautiful children who’s ancestors have been on this land as far back as any one remembers. My children are as valuable as any race on this land. That is SAD. I heard the ones in Mexico died extremely quick and yet other places people- even old ones went home to recover. Isnt that strange?
