Israeli troops have opened fire on foreign activists in the Gaza Strip after launching a fresh attack on the region early in the morning.

The activists came under fire while they were helping Palestinian farmers in the southern city of Khan Yunis on Thursday, Press TV has learned.

There were no reports of injuries in the attack.

Tel Aviv announced a unilateral ceasefire in mid January in a bid to divert media attention away from its offensive but continues to hit targets in the Palestinian strip on a regular basis.
