Israeli troops and Hamas fighters clash in Gaza City

Israeli soldiers and Hamas militants fought gun battles in the streets of Gaza City for the first time this morning, with Israeli troops going house to house searching for Hamas fighters.
The fighting came as Israeli forces seized control of large parts of the Gaza Strip, dividing the territory and forcing tens of thousands of people to flee their homes as the death toll mounted under relentless artillery and gunfire.
The Israeli defence minister, Ehud Barak, vowed today to press on until Israel achieved its objective of “peace and tranquility” for residents in the south of the country, who are still enduring bombardment from Hamas rockets and mortar rounds.

“Hamas has sustained a very harsh blow,” Barak told the Israeli parliament’s foreign affairs and defence committee. “But we still have not reached our objectives, so the offensive continues.”
Palestinian medical officials said at least 12 civilians were killed this morning. Some of the heaviest fighting was reported to be taking place east of Gaza City, in the Zeitoun district, with three Palestinian children killed by an Israeli tank shell. Israeli forces killed seven members of a Palestinian family in a strike on their home in the Beach refugee camp.

Well it doesn’t appear to be too much of a clash, it’s more like Israel coming in and just pushing everyone around. Watching Press TV from Israel, I can see the death toll is well over 500 and over 3000 wounded. Being official numbers released, I’m sure the real numbers are even higher since media cannot enter Gaza and see for themselves. I’m surprised neighboring countries haven’t intervened.
I also notice the depleted uranium is now being discussed as I mentioned it would. Welcome cancer and birth defects! The death and mayhem continues onward!

“peace and tranquility” huh? Isn’t that what RIP means? Thanks Bush for supplying the weapons! This is the old stuff they need to use up.
I think Hamas has been responding to having its borders closed and having no negotiations. If the Israelis are upset about the rockets I think they can (if they choose to) negotiate and open the borders. I’m not surprised about the rockets; what if you were being strangled to death?
But the Bush regime wants it all to be one-sided so the Israelis don’t have to negotiate. The democratically elected Hamas government are “terrorists” and the Bush “war-profiting” regime selling weapons of mass destruction is “good.” Something is terribly wrong here.

Well, from what I gathered, Hamas did NOT want to be in a position of running the government… it just sort of happened when they were freely elected. This was from their website online, in english, as I can not read arabic.
Anyway, this will war effort will more than likely end up like the war’s America has had in the middle east…the US goes in with superior weaponry, manpower, etc… and then they end up being over there 10 years, because the people will not give in.
I honestly think it’s admirable, that a people faced with such a War machine, would fight it out… I doubt that if Iran invaded the US, that the million god ole boys out here with guns, wouldn’t go out and start hunting… any nations people, will fight when attacked.
The NWO wants submission, not aggression. Israel wants them to toss down their weapons, and be peaceful, while they give up everything, their lands, their elected government, their religion. Does this sound familiar? Everything will be ok, if you hand over your weapons, your leaders, your land, and trust in us.
Resistance is against the NWO’s plans, and the NWO has found out that it has to *resort* to Hitler like genocide to break a people so steadfast in their faith. This seems to now be a new road map for the NWO, go in and pound an area, nation, region, with massive firepower,and superior technology, with wars and death until that people submit, and if they will not submit, kill as many of them as possible until they HAVE to submit.
Similar techniques were used in the crusades long ago…except now, instead of forcing a people to accept religion, they are forcing us to accept a FALSE PEACE, by giving up any of our rights and freedoms, for a FALSE sense of secuity.
Propaganda programs have not worked as successfully as the NWO would like, because of things like Religion, and sites like this, you can not easily control a people who are awake…you cannot easily control people who are strong in faith, mind and body. The only way to control such people, is to make the consequences of rebellion against the NWO so costly, that anyone would eventually bend on their knees to submit, because of the horrors that have happened to them, their families, and their nations.
Mark my words, the conflict will not end quickly, nor will it end, until the Palestine state is NO MORE, regardless of the civilian casualties, because the quickest way to break someone’s reserves, is to kill everyone they know and love, military and civilian.

A pity the Palestinians aren’t fighting back more. I’d like to see a report showing some Israeli division being wiped out or routed because of some massive attack of rockets, mortars, irregular infantry and suicide bombers. The Palestinians have nothing to lose, they’re going to be wiped out slowly if they do not begin taking greater steps to defend themselves.

well use common sense people, Hamas is a close ally of iran, now knowing that iran isnt led by radicals who dont put forth common sense into their foreign policy, would it make ANY sense at all for the government themselves to actually fire rockets at the force that is on the verge of blitzkrieging them back to allah and ruining everything theyve been working for? wouldnt you save your ammo till it was actually needed? thats not western thinking thats common sense, hamas has been trying to organize and equal cease-fire so their people can actually have food and become part of the world again, but israel is constantly throwing their efforts into the mud with an “all or nothing” mindset. An Iranian reformist daily newspaper has criticized Hamas “for risking lives of civilians, amongst them children, by hiding its forces in nurseries and hospitals.” This is reported in today’s Palestinian daily Al-Ayyam. The Palestinian daily adds that in response the Iranian government has closed the newspaper. The following is the story in today’s Al-Ayyam: Headline: “Iran closes a reformist newspaper, for publishing a report criticizing Hamas” ”The Iranian news agency “Irna” reported yesterday, that the Iranian Culture Ministry has closed the reformist daily newspaper “Karjo Zaran”, because it published a report that included criticism of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). On December 30 the paper published a statement of a reformist student organization, that has criticized Hamas for risking lives of civilians, amongst them children, by hiding its forces in nurseries and hospitals. The UN announcement that 51 civilians have died in the conflict in Gaza must be understood in the context of Hamas’s declared ideology to use civilians as human shields for Hamas fighters. Indeed, Hamas continues to emphasize and promote the religious ideology that death for Allah is an ideal to be actively pursued. The goal is to convince Palestinians, including women and children, not to fear death but even to face it at the front to protect Hamas fighters. Hamas’s placement of its military installations and fighters among civilians reflects this ideology, and has led to these 51 deaths. A Hamas representative in the PA legislative council this year expressed pride in the fact that women and children are used as human shields in fighting Israel. Other than than complete genocide, I believe the Israelis are massing this war against humanity to start a larger war. They are dying to suck another country into this. They are just waiting for an Arab nation to make a move so that they can cry bloody murder against them. This might end up being the war the Presidents want – a war with Iran. They are dying to take them out at all cost. Then they can systematically take back the whole of Palestine, Gaza, the West Bank, Golin Heights and parts of Lebanon. THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT LIFE OF DEATH IN BATTLE. While the Jewish soldiers wet their pants at the thought fighting a people who are willing to die for their beliefs, die a real man, protecting his family and nation even if all he has is a butter knife. The big myth is that the Jewish people are fighting for their survival.

The Americans that support Israel and the genocide, are the same ones that cry fowl play about Darfar and abortion. The Arabs whether Christian or Muslim are fighting because they have nothing else left to protect them from completely getting wiped off the map by the Jews. I am only stating the facts here.
The best weapon a Palestinian can own at this time is their faith and a video camera. Once the world see the real brutality, the pictures of dismembered bodies of children, dead horses in the streets, the destroyed buildings (remember Lebanon) there would be a growing amount of hate towards Jews and the state of Israel, and cause people to put into question their support for Israel. It would put enough political pressure needed to make the difference and cause many people to wake up not only about this, but about the past. When people start to question everything, they began to investigate. They they will learn about the USS Liberty, Rachel Corrie, The Belfour Declaration, Our Constitution, the NWO, 9/11, the banking, the schemes such as the 10 billion pay off to Larry Silverstein, which I am sure is in some Israeli bank about now and lets not even talk about Madoff who ripped off so many people. He will get a slap on the wrist while OJ got 15 years for some dumb petty stuff in Vegas. My God I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

The word “devil” is just greek for deceiver. The word “satan” is just hebrew for adversary, as in adversary of mankind.
Jesus was totally aware of their deception as he addressed in many times, and their prime MO, “The love of money is the root of all evil”. How easily people are bought off…then and now. Jesus was well aware of the Cabalistic Satanic system of the Pharisees, as he addressed it in John 8:44 calling them “children of the devil”.
The Pharisses had brought back this Babylonian Religion from the Isrealites captivity there under Nebacanezzar around 600 BC. They called it the “oral tradition” which is a translation of the meaning of Babylonian Talmud that was latter at least partially put into writing several centuries after Jesus. I also believe that the “Protocals of Zion” was part of that oral tradion, although it was not put into writing until the 1800’s. But it is not Jewish in origin. It is the “Mystery Babylon” that was written about by John in the book of Revelation.
