Jamie Dimon, the boss of blue blooded US investment bank JP Morgan, has launched a foul mouthed attack on ‘banker bashers’.

Asked about his defence of Wall Street and criticism of regulation, Dimon described himself as ‘an outspoken defender of the truth’.

Speaking to the New York Magazine he said: ‘This is not the Soviet Union . . .  This is the United States of America. That’s what I remember. Guess what . . . it’s a free. F***ing. Country.’

Dimon, dubbed the King of Wall Street, has seen the gloss taken off his reputation in recent months. In May the bank revealed a shock £1.2billion trading loss incurred by a group of traders in London.

This group included Bruno Iksil, dubbed the London Whale because of his huge gambles on complicated investments which could yet cost the bank up to £4.5billion.
