England has become the most crowded major country in Europe, official figures show.
The number of people crammed in has overtaken those in Holland, long the most densely-populated major nation on the continent.
A count released to MPs showed England now has 395 people per square kilometre.
Crowding has increased because of high immigration into England while the Dutch population has fallen or remained steady.

Last night MPs who are campaigning for ‘balanced migration’ said the figures were a milestone in the immigration debate.
Beyond Europe, England’s population density is among the highest in the world. Of countries with a population of at least 10million, England ranks third in density after Bangladesh (1,045 per sq km) and South Korea (498 per sq km).
The English figures were in a Commons written answer from National Statistician Karen Dunnell.

The vast majority of land in the UK, +60%. is owned by 5% of the population. +30% is urban and suburban.
Yes it is crowded for most of us in the cities being stuffed in them. At least our betters have plenty of elbow room.

I’m from the UK, and I was only discussing this with my mother the other day. It’s now impossible now to find work. All the immigrants pretty much get everything. There’s about 20-30 people applying for the same job. I’m currently in my second year of a degree, and I’ve been looking for a job for the last 3.5 months. IT TAKES THE PISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t tell us about it.
Our motorways double as part time parking lots. Our schools have a hundred languages and the actual English speakers get bottom of the heap and are coming out illiterate.
Our hospitals are expanding all the maternity units as the asians and eastern europeans breed as no tomorrow.
Our public housing gobbled up. You get a house if you are born in Kabul but not if in Cheltenham.
You walk down even a small town main street and hear every language bar English.
In some towns eastern europeans are at least one in ten some even more. In cities – many of our biggest will be are or over 50% ethnic.
We are invaded and occupied and over run and it won’t stop anytime soon. All three parties are exactly the same – more immigration, more cheap labour, bigger and greedier profits for the few. Let the native Brits live in shacks, uneducated and dying as long as a mega buck can be made.

Overpopulation is the biggest crisis we will face today and in the future if we don’t wake up and limit births in ALL countries around the world. We need to completely stop ALL immigration because the host countries and their citizens are ruined by it due to belief and language differences. This planet can only hold so many before we start ruining the environment and packing everyone in like sardine cans. We have now reached that point.
Many here and on other alternative websites think population control is a conspiracy by the rich. I’m sure there are some twisted screwballs in the rich who may think that but the reality is we have surpassed our healthy population level and its time to wake up. A lower population will always give you a higher standard of living.

We don’t need more people, its not that we don’t have enough land, we don’t have the infrastructure to support so many. Also the national identity is rapidly disappearing. My part of rural Scotland (Yes, not England) is becoming overpopulated by ‘white flighters’ from the north of England. Apart from seeing the migration first hand while working in the electoral registration office, I also see it in daily life. They rarely admit that they are fleeing multi-culturalism though!

Now the British, whove conquered and overrun dozens of countries through genocide and war, are complaining when their bigoted little country meets its karmic fate. Im sorry, Im british and love british culture, and its sad that its dwindling, but thats the way the world turns. Its not the immigrants fault its the government that wants to turn you all against each other. And as some of the other comments have mentioned, its not the immigrants but the elite who own most of the land. At least you dont see young immigrants bingedrinking and puking on the streets, but when you see a chaste woman in islamic clothing youre all up in arms. Get over yourselves!

USA is the most “overpopulated” country as each american uses like 10,000x the resources the average person uses in, say, Zambia.
Therefore, each reduction in american population means we can provide for 10,000 Zambians. So which one is overpopulated, really?
people say developing world is “overpopulated”! That there’s too many people for the resources! But indians, chinese and africans etc etc use far less resources per person than any developed nations.
“overpopulation” in the developing world? when they live on $1 a day?
Clearly if the world is “overpopulated” the people to lose would be those using the most resources ie yanks and europeans……….

The myth is that people think we can keep increasing the population forever. Doesn’t common sense tell you that in a world running out of clean water, clean air, food and land that doubling the population every 30 years is not sustainable? Why should we see how many people we can cram in together? We could start controlling the number of children we have and the entire world would be better off. I don’t understand the push to increase the number of people on this planet.

over population occurs for one reason…people can have babies(as many as they want) any time and for whatever reason….there is one simple way to correct this…offer subsidies and and incentives for couples that have only one or two children and not the other way around…on top of that impose higher penalties on unwed couples and those having more than two kids…period…as far as england or america or any other country having loyalties to its third or fourth generation residents please do not expect this to ever occur unless the society imposes a point system rule that offers certain incentives and privileges based upon that certain citizens length of time in that particular country…for example a citizen in a certain country whose grandfather fought for the counrty and laid down his life and then had children who contributed to the infrastructure of that country would be given a point value of five whereas a mexican ,kenyan.ecuadorean,russian,chinese etc who just arrived two days ago would have a value point total of .1 and vice versa for their country…..the higher the point a citizen has the higher the benifits…he has earned them from time value…his benifits are provided by new immigrant arrivals who pay a premium in all services in order to join that particular society…..after all it was that third or fourth or more generation citizen whose family helped create a society that is attractive for the immigrant to want to come and live and be part of….technology can make this possible and safeguard this system…most importantly people want to feel that their past has an intrinsic value and is more than just sentiment…that time is well spent and their future is safegaurded…otherwise the cycle continues and empires or hamlets, large countries and small…rise…only to crumble…why continue to repeat history…a brave new world ? not without a system based on time, space and recognition of the common man

To those complaining about poorer countries-you forget people in the developing world use far less resources simply because they do not have access to as many as we do here! as for the uk, the country is indeed overpopulated. Scotland is almost as big as England, yet comparing population statistics would surely be a shock to many, with 5 million in scotland compared to 50 in england. It is absolutely crazy. The uk is a great country, but really far too easy to get into. We will use up our resources far too quickly as a result if we dont act now. We are only an island after all, and simply too small for the mass immigration happening on our doorstep right now.

Well said about everyone growing their own food, city life does indeed seem to be our major downfall. If we simply made the effort, and everyone tried to grow something to either use themselves or give to the needy, there would be no hunger. Its too bad things like hate/racism, conflicting religions/beliefs, and disagreeable governments get in the way of making this planet a happy one. Just like all animals, we love to hate, or fight. It seems we will always have it around in some form. Other than terrorism and blowing ourselves up in the name of religion, pollution from our city life destroying the planet is perhaps what we really should be worried about for keeping the human race intact at this stage!
