Dozens of people were in a state of panic in the U.S. state of Virginia after playing cards with threatening messages were found last weekend. One of the cards indicated an attack would take place on Monday as it had “Death” written on it along with the date 8/15/08.
The threats were later traced to two teenage boys who allegedly wrote them after being inspired by “The Dark Knight”. In the movie the anarchist Joker portrayed by Heath Ledger instils mass panic in the fictional Gotham City by a series of terror attacks.
Justin Dirico and Bryan Stafford, both aged 18, were arrested on Tuesday by the police and charged with conspiracy to commit an act of terror. The felony carries a maximum sentence of 20 years behind the bars, reports ABC News.

Police say the two have confessed to leaving the threatening cards in public places.
Both the teenagers and their relatives insist it was just a prank that
got out of hand.
“The local police went overboard with this,” said Stafford’s father. “Terrorism? That’s ridiculous. You know how teenagers are.”
But police chef J.C. Martin defended the charge, citing the severity of public alarm it caused.
The boys are now waiting for trial after been released on bail.

This is the time when the cops should be sitting around the donut shop instead of screwing with kids. Somebody throw the cowards a donut, please?

Your response to these incidents are being accounted. Merely a rat testing the walls of his cage, his reponse to different foods. If the rat was to be set free to run on the floor, he would simply get lost and eaten by the cat.
Keep running on the wheel and you will stay alive, for now.

Richmond has a lot of problems with drugs, Murders and gangs. The police should be spending their time trying to deal with the real problems that are plaguing the city, instead of ruining the lives of some kids for a teen age prank.

Americans are so gullible now and easily controlled by fear that even a sad ass obvious prank because of a popular movie gets everyone riled up. You want to start tossing around 20 year sentences, how about you start with your corrupt top ranking government officials. Give these kids 2 years probation, community service and send them on their way.
