SOUTH BEND — Anti-abortion activist and commentator Alan Keyes was arrested just after noon today on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
Keyes was arrested along with a group of 10 to 20 other protesters, who were pushing baby strollers with dolls covered in fake blood.
Dr. Alan Keyes is trying to land himself in jail. As part of the protest against President Obama’s commencement speech at Notre Dame, Dr. Keyes has called upon fellow protestors to join him in trespassing on the University’s campus “until the South Bend jail is filled to overflowing”.
He’ll be in South Bend Thursday for a press conference, with a protest planned for Friday.
On May 1st, protest organizer Randall Terry was arrested for criminal trespassing after being warned by University police that the second he stepped foot on campus, he would be arrested for trespassing. As you may recall, Terry and six other protesters pushed carriages containing dolls covered in fake blood.
University spokesman Dennis Brown said the no-trespassing order issued by Notre Dame remainsin effect forever unless the university decides to rescind it.
