Tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on a 2,000 page bill to give the federal government the power to micromanage the health care of every single American. The bill will no doubt pass. It will raise your taxes, steal your freedom, invade your privacy, and ration your health care. Even the Republicans have introduced their version of Obamacare Lite. It, too, if passed, will compel employers to provide coverage, bribe the states to change their court rules, and tell insurance companies whom to insure.
We do not have two political parties in this country, America. We have one party; called the Big Government Party. The Republican wing likes deficits, war, and assaults on civil liberties. The Democratic wing likes wealth transfer, taxes, and assaults on commercial liberties. Both parties like power; and neither is interested in your freedoms. Think about it. Government is the negation of freedom. Freedom is your power and ability to follow your own free will and your own conscience. The government wants you to follow the will of some faceless bureaucrat.
When I recently asked Congressman James Clyburn, the third ranking Democrat in the House, to tell me “Where in the Constitution the federal government is authorized to regulate everyone’s healthcare–, he replied that most of what Congress does is not authorized by the Constitution, but they do it anyway. There you have it. Congress recognizes no limits on its power. It doesn’t care about the Constitution, it doesn’t care about your inalienable rights, it doesn’t care about the liberties protected by the Bill of Rights, it doesn’t even read the laws it writes.

Storky, While I agree with you that a new Civil War in this country is NOT the right answer, I must seriously disagree with your comment that 80% want health care reform. If by reform, you mean that we the citizens want the Health care industry and the insurance industry to undergo serious change, then maybe I could agree with you. If by reform, you mean 80% of American citizens want to be forced into a government run program, that simply isn’t true. I would guess that about 20% of the population in America want to have the government take care of every aspect of their life, from womb to the tomb. This is the segment of society that doesn’t want to get off of welfare, don’t want to get a better job or any job at all, don’t want there kids to go to college, generally want a great big nanny society without having a clue as to what that means. A “Nanny” state makes each of us “SLAVES” to the ruling elite. While you might disagree with me on that, the amount of debt our government is racking up makes all of us “economic slaves” and will be the death of our national soveriegnty and our personal freedom. The enemy we face is so sure they will win this battle, they think they can convince you to take violent action. Don’t do it. Let them start this battle if that is what must happen. Keep this in mind, a true warrior doesn’t look for violence or bloodshed. He/she does all they can to work through peace first and foremost. Violence is the very last resort. Real warriors know this truth. Real warriors use violence as a very last resort, not a first. Finally, a real warrior, when faced with using violence to resolve an issue, uses only the force necessary to bring an end to conflict and bloodshed quickly. Unnecessary bloodshed is wrong, and prolonging a conflict so that more people can be injured or killed is just sick. This is how you know that our government isn’t serious about ending the war in Iraq or Afghanistan. The people in DC are not warriors. They’re politicians who just want more and more power.

Most who join the military don’t understand our constitution the law of the land. Joing the most powerful military in the world and killing women and children and the poor tribsemen that try to defend their land and way of life from invading armies does not take balls. Now when you were doing this killing did our U.S. congress declare war? Will you turn on our patriots and stand on the side of those domestic enemies in power? Notice that despite polls showing 60+% opposition to the Healthcare Bill, congress passed it anyway. Notice that despite polls showing 70+% opposition to the Cap and Trade bill, congress passed it anyway. Notice that despite polls showing 90+% opposition to the banker bail out, congress passed it anyway. Notice that congress doesn’t care what the american people think anymore. They know full well they are gone if the 2010 elections happen, but what if those elections were never meant to happen?
What if, right after the first of the year the Mutated H1N1 virus from the Ukraine makes it to America, and what if they enforce a pandemic martial law, and what if they decide it’s as good a time as any to devalue the dollar and instituite a bank holiday, and what if that Martial law was extended, and extended past the November elections, and what if they just decided the easiest thing was to wait till 2012 for the next set of elections, after all we’re in an emergency here!
What if this Republican Democracy was all just a sham? What if the reason congress is no longer listening to the people is because they know there will be no consequences? If they knew that it would be the perfect time to shove through a hugely unpopular agenda, wouldn’t it? What if the Senate doesn’t go along with this charade? What if they stand up and say, no, the will of the people is we don’t pass this agenda item? Martial law would also take care of that as well, the president could instituite any laws he wants during martial law, including Healthcare Reform and Cap and Trade. What if…

All you people who just like to complain and bitch, moan, groan, whine, etc, need to get off your backsides and get informed on the issues that matter to you, then formulate a campaign and run for office. Could you do any worse than those in office already? What do you have to lose? Stop complaining about these bastards and offer some real solutions to the problems. What, can’t run if you don’t have money? OK, start a campaign and ask for donations. Have a bake sale and raise money for your campaign. Take some of the crap in your garage and sell it on ebay and raise money that way. We don’t have to have alot of money in order to get elected. Like I said in another blog response take the time to read the following.
Health care does not mean end of freedom for sure. It could if… but it won’t because people are waking up and this will not be allowed .
Avoid falling in the traps of propaganda like they are doing with the vaccine of the swine flu.

You all are forgetting how lucky we are. “The opposite of government interference defined as freedom?”
What about your right to education? Or our right to the safe use of transportation.
Our government is here to ensure our freedom, not deny it.
The lack of faith in our system will be what tears us apart.
There are hundreds of constitutions that exist in this world based on our governing doctrine. The right to elect government officials to make intelligent, informed, considerate decisions is something that people have fought and died for for centuries.
To throw that away over partisan misunderstanding over a bill introduced to protect its citizens is futility it’s lowest manifestation.
Our surviving birth rate stands at #37 on a world total. The percentage of americans with cancer is skyrocketing.
It’s up to our government to remedy this situation for the health, prosperity and to ensure our freedom to live as citizens in this beautiful country.
Reform must be undergone. But attacking health care will only endanger the future of what we have worked so hard to accomplish.

The rest of us are not ready nor willing to learn this spiritual knowledge. I am ignorant of it. But humans now are in a most confused and practically non-existent spiritual stae. Very bad. More people are waking up knowing deep down that something is wrong but do not know what to do about it. I agree that in the end we shall win. Us at the bottom are much more adaptable then those at the top. In plain numbers, the authorities cannot get us all. There is already internal strife within the control mechanism. It is crumbling as I write this. But are we ready? Are we ready to assume the mantle of self control and responsibility? To help one another in the hour of need, which I think has begun already? Are the people ready for real change? It shall be tumultuous, fraught with fear and death and danger. It is always darkest before dawn, I sincerely hope the human species shall make it to the new dawn when leaders will really lead with wisdom and righteousness and people shall not fear nor hate another of different cultural heritage. We don’t just need our country back, we need our world back. We need our birthrights back, I’m not sure there is a person in this country who has known what it is to be truly free. Our idea of freedom has been an illusion for a long time now. There should no more argument or infighting amongst us anymore, we know who the enemy is, those in power. All we need to do is like previously stated is to refuse to comply and participate in a system that serves only to confuse and isolate us from one another and ruin our sense of individuality and our sense of duty to our families, neighbors(foreign and domestic), and friends. But nature does not permit a void, we must fill that void if ever we destroy our enslavers, with something akin to what the native americans had before our ancestors nearly exterminated them and their way of life. A loose, decentralized form of democracy wherein people managed their own affairs and helped each other and their neighbors. Apparently it worked pretty well for over seven thousand years. But a godless science and industry served only to further isolate us in the name of progress. We must figure a new way to utilize technology, government, and economics as we know it today, because it has brought us nowhere very quickly. May the GREAT ALL grant us the strength, sight, and wisdom to walk forward to a new dawn and a new day for ourselves and our brethren species and environment.

This bill does PROMOTE and in no way PROVIDES. The introduction of the so called Public Option promotes compition, which promotes fair prices, which promotes equal access to health care, which promotes the general welfare.
A government run system would be PROVIDING health care, but that isn’t being discussed in this bill.

This is the biggest day of freedom in all of history as the United States finally gives everyone free healthcare.
We will have free anti-smoking clinics, free weight-loss clinics, free alcoholism problems clinics and free vaccinations in all neighborhoods and trained experts to make sure everyone who needs these services complies with these freedoms being given to them.
Abortions will also be made free after it becomes law and whatever czar is setup to run this department rewrites the law to include abortions also – so nobody has to worry that isn’t included upfront – that is just to get the dumb religious right to agree, which they have because all the congress has approved the law and majority wins.
Anyone in minority voting districts where it’s too expensive to have large families will especially be pleased once free abortions are introduced a year or two from now so they can all have them so their standard of living doesn’t get any worse.
This is the happiest day in my life and I am so proud to be an American living under the same kind of free healthcare everyone else in the world enjoys.
Even China and Russia gave their people free healthcare, it was time for the United States to catch up to the rest of the world already anyhow, being it is always so far behind the times.

Ok. Don’t be intimidated by the page count, some Stephen King novels are that long so maybe you should just learn how to read instead of making snide comments that just show your ignorance. If you actually ever looked at a bill you might know that those pages are not like a novel. They are widely spaced and you can easily sum up a page by looking at it for a few moments. To give you a quick answer to what is right an/or good about this bill
1. It ends the non-capitalistic monoply that the medical corporations use now to fix prices that are far too high. It does this not only by creating a marketplace for individuals to shop and compare, but also by allowing for citizens to use the power of co-operatives to pool their buying power to leverage better prices. It also CREATES (doesn’t RUN) a NON-PROFIT (not Government) OPTION (not forced) that will introduce much needed competition to keep prices at fair, market levels.
2. It mandates that it is one’s duty as a citizen to insure themselves so that they are not a burden on others in the event they need expensive medical treatment because we do not deny treatment to people in this country because they can’t afford it. The current system does just that. We mandate insurance on cars for the same reason.
3. It ends long standing descrimination by insurers against the people who would actually use the insurance, the SICK, by forbiding insurers from refusing coverage or payment for services based on “pre-existing” conditions or other unfair criteria. It also limits the insurance company to only being able to DOUBLE your expenses because you are “old”, now the amount of increase in unlimited.
There’s my top three, and I think they are enough to support the bill by themselves, but there are other things such as expanding care under medicare and to veterans that are “good”.
That reminds me, veterans in this country are currently taken care of by an ACTUAL government run, single-payer health care system and I haven’t heard many complaints about THAT!

I can use VA anytime I want and I have private insurance…I will bet I have more time in the sand box (Iraq) than you.make it a combat zone do want to forget my Viet Nam era brothers. when you use the VA. and do not have a “rating” you pay for services based on your ability to pay. almost have a tax refund withheld because of a error by a VA clerk. so now you have your first complaint and the fact you would use the VA as example of how great this plan would only shows you ignorance on the subject. my experience will always overrule your theory of what you think. ….you know I was sitting down the other night watching a show I haven’t seen for years…and I don’t know why they ever did away with it….but now in the current state of events….I can see why the show was cancelled after five seasons. It was called THE A TEAM. You remember em! Those guys who would let bullets fly but never seriously hurt anyone….there was BA…FACE…MURDOCK…and then HANNIBAL all wanted for a crime they didnt commit. They were SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE.
And as I glare over the current happenings….I wonder what the A TEAM would say about all of the stuff happening now. Would they go after the bad guys? Would they bust the doors down? Where are the soldiers of fortune today who would but stand up and fight against the tyranny that is suddenly taking hold of our country. Is out of fear that they don’t stand up and fight? I for one am looking for the A TEAM. If anyone can find them….and if they could help…I would HIRE them!
We are in a very sad situation right now….its getting ready to get very explosive….and I don’t think for one minute we will survive the night! The power is to great. Every family will pay $15k/yr for health care? One of the major parts of the bill is keeping medical expenses below $10k per year for families $5k for inidviduals, including deductables!
If you have health care now, you don’t have to change a thing!
It’s not run by the government and you are not required to participate! It’s an OPTION!
If the publically STARTED insurance option is going to be so bad, nobody will CHOOSE it.
Right now, you have to have auto insurance so that you are not a burden on others if you can’t pay for an accident you caused! That’s why it’s required! Right now, you are paying for other people’s health care through your premiums and deductables and you are actually fighting to keep it that way!
Could just one of you among the opposition to this bill give an actual, fact-based, thought out reason why this bill is not good for the majority of Americans?
(Hint: Fact based does not include the Bible or the A-Team, or anything on Fox)

The purpose of a representative Government is to decide what is the best for the nation.
I respect myself and you enough to feel that we shouldn’t pay more for our health care because emergency rooms are caring for so many uninsured people because we do not reject people because they can’t afford the care. Do you believe that you should be mandated to have auto insurance or do you feel that an uninsured driver should be able to give you huge medical bills that you can’t pay when he crashes into you and can’t pay for your care out of pocket?
If I lose my job and my current insurance, yes, I want there to be a fair marketplace where I can shop and choose an affordable insurance plan so that I don’t go bankrupt for life if I get sick.

There is nothing in the actual bill that directly effects veterans or the care they recieve through VA hospitals, but general expenses for VA hospitals will drop due to the increased competition and regulation in the medical market and federal medical expenses will actually DROP under the bill over the next ten years, which could mean more money for the VA hospitals, but we’ll see about that.
I think there was seperate legislation recently for more funding for VA hospitals and programs.

If you don’t have insurance, you will have an easy way to shop amongst the PRIVATE insurance companies that exist right now. Here are 5 concrete reasons why I support HR 3962
1. It ends the medical industries exemption from national anti-trust laws. Right now, insurance companies can and do have monopolies on health care in many states and therefor are able to keep prices inflated because of lack of competition. This bill ends that.
2. It establishes a free marketplace where people can easily compare private insurance company’s rates and creates a more direct competition between companies to lower their prices and earn my business.
3. It provides for citizens ability to form co-operatives to pool their buying power and use their collective bargaining power to get lower rates.
4. It establishes a non-profit insurance company that will compete with profit inflated insurance companies and drug companies and force them to accept more reasonable profit in order to compete.
5. It ends the ability of insurance companies to refuse you treatment because of a so-called “pre-existing condition”, which has been used by insurance companies to take your money without paying for the services they are supposed to. Insurance companies can also charge “old people” any amount of money for coverage just because they are old. The bill limits that amount to double the amount of a young persons premium.
There you go, 5 actual provisions from this bill that I support.
I CHALLENGE ANYONE WHO IS AGAINST THIS BILL TO LIST ACTUAL PROVISIONS IN THE BILL THAT THEY ARE AGAINST. SHOW THIS SITE THAT YOUR PASSION ISN’T JUST MISPLACE ANGER AND THAT YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.
