Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) has been at the forefront of the attempt to push for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and last month presented 35 articles of impeachment to Congress.
Now Kucinich has released an Independence Day message which invokes the words of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address to urge support for impeachment and the restoration of the rule of law.
“Some Democratic leaders say impeachment’s off the table,” Kucinich begins. “So let’s set a new table for our nation, upon which we place the Constitution, and where we demand that all those who’ve taken an oath to defend it keep their promise and protect our nation from the threat within. Please go to kucinich.us now and sign the petition which calls for impeachment. This is the one petition that will make a difference because I will be personally delivering it to your member of Congress.”

“Two hundred thirty two years ago, our nation was ‘conceived in liberty,’ continues Kucinich, quoting Lincoln’s famous phrase. “We have once again reached a moment of truth, one that Lincoln recognized at Gettysburg, as to ‘whether this nation, or any nation so conceived or so dedicated, can long endure.’”
“Through the ashes of the Civil War,” he goes on, “Lincoln prayed ‘that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth.’ This 4th of July 2008, we face a different kind of war, one which is trying our souls, a war based on lies.”
“With the power of truth, the power of the people,” Kucinich concludes, “we can achieve a new birth of freedom.” As the strains of “America the Beautiful” swell in the background, he urges, “Be the answer to Lincoln’s prayer. Please pledge your support now for restoring the rule of law in America. As we once again celebrate Independence Day, let us celebrate freedom from fear and pledge that this government of the people will survive in this land that we love.”
Meanwhile, President Bush delivered a July 4th address before a naturalization ceremony for new citizens at Thomas Jefferson’s home of Monticello that was repeatedly interrupted by protesters. According to news accounts, “shouts from protesters were heard during Bush’s remarks,” while a transcript notes repeated occurrences all through the speech of “Audience disturbance,” “Audience interruption,” and “Audience interruption continues.”

Let freedom ring. It’s time to take our nation back back from the Republicrat tyrants. Impeachment is preferable to violence.

i like what kucinich is doing ,,but sometimes i dont understand him??he talks about the constitution on one hand,,and on the other hand he is a big gun grabber..last i checked the second ammendment was part of our bill of rights and the rule of law through our great constitution?

In the words of Jack Cafferty, “Congress isn’t doing its job of keeping the executive in check, no one does anything – nobody seems to care. Its the worst administration in living memory” (paraphrased).
How can the American people keep so quiet about the crimes committed by Bush and his government – Glory to God! Never mind impeaching the President, but the people, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, openly let Bush carry on with his crimes, such as Congress and ordinary Americans!!
What has happened to America?!
Did you know Vladimir Putin, the ex-Russian President, had MORE respect than Bush!
Shame on America!

This is only the begining of the criminals who will be brought to justice for crimes against the Republic. Of course, unlike what they want to subject us to, we will give them full due process, proper treatment (no waterboarding in this republic!), and a fair trial by jury.

Are we living in the twilight zone because it sure feels like it.
I dont understand a lot of the people I talk to feel the president is awful but feel there is nothing they can do. Here we have a member of congress who is trying to and all Pelosi and the other cronys can say is this thing is “dead on arrival”!(absurd)
We have got to get everybody we can together on this to make these criminals accountable because if we dont our kids will wonder why we didnt do anything when we had the chance to. Pretty
soon it will be to a point where we cant do anything so get the word out and lets help these true patriots fight the evil in gov’t.

Actually Congress IS doing it’s job – making sure the executive branch goes unchecked and unchallenged with infinite power and stealing American jobs and freedom and smashing the Bill of Rights to pieces. Congress, except for a few, is therefore just as treasonous as can be and is also guilty of war crimes and civil rights violations. After all, Congress was very helpful in destroying America and the Constitution.
There is no limits on corruption, there’s too much money to be made folks!

For those of you that are unsure that crimes have been committed by thie President, Vice President and Congress itself, I urge you all to watch Michael Badnariks Constitution Class which can be seen here:Your Rights.
Before you can realize how these criminals are ripping you off, you need to know what it is that you are being ripped off of. The U.S. Constitution is meant to be understood in its “simplest form” not the twisted quagmire that the Federal government has created in its institution of over 3000 unconstitutional laws.
I would also suggest that you read Ron Paul’s new book which made it to number one on the New York Times Bestseller list called The Revolution: A Manifesto which is easy to read and concise.
You need to stop allowing the corporatocratic elite from owning you through fear and terror.
Accolades to Rep. Dennis Kucinich for his courage in exposing the Bush/Cheney cartels’ and members of Congress’s violations of the law of the land.
It is up to YOU to get up off of your butts and fight for your country!

Too little, too late. He should’ve started this whole thing IN EARNEST a year ago. Bush only has about 6 months left, and all this ballyhoo won’t do a damn bit of good. Kucinich is all frosting, no cake.

Koo Koo Ka Kucinich, who claims to have seen a real live UFO, voted not President, no, rather an Office far higher – Head of the Nibiru Welcoming Committee in the soon to be released Disney-Pomo Productions starring David de Rothschild as the Anti-Christ with Elizabeth Koo Koo Ka Kucinich co-starring as the Whore of Babylon Spectacular that they have in store and which they are priming people for.
Brangelina have been cast as the understudies just in case King David and Queen Elizabeth have a polo game or something scheduled for (remember this code *wink* *wink*) 12. 21. 2012.
I guess these thing just look plain silly to a body that’s not addicted to Adrenochrome.

Dennis Kucinich is one of very few US politicans that undersatnds what is really going to a large extent in the USA, and that of the free world. Members across the (global) liberty movement can disagree on certain issues but ALL need to unite around Dennis’s quest to forge ahead in the quest for true liberty. The impeachment of the widely despised pathological war criminal, G W Bush, will be a great victory for the liberty movement overall.

My guess is that Dennis Kucinich has been delegated long ago to test public opinion so that the various factions in the cleptocracy can decide which way to go. His actions produce “Nielson Ratings” for the corporate war media. The impeachment foray is planned to fail, and already it has been tabled. Only one more public reading in the House is to be allowed before it is laid to rest. When we sign Kucinich’s petition, we tell the media how prostrate the American public will lie before tyranny. Everyone should go to Kucinich’s website and sign his petition as a warning to the despots but at the same time step up efforts to get out the truth about 9/11, the Bush Administration’s treasonable subversion of the Constitution and International Law, and the criminal conduct of Congress under Nuremberg Article VII.

Who cares why Kucinich is doing this. The point is, the people now have an opportunity to support a legitimate Congressional motion to impeach Bush/Cheney. All we need to do is to follow up en masse, by signing the petition and, more importantly, pestering the heck out of our Representatives to support the move to impeach.

What I am about to say will be ridiculed but needs said anyway. One. There are higher authorities than the US Congress, the US Supreme Court and George W. Bush. In order, they are Putin and Company and the Good and Great God Almighty. Two. Since for decades we the American people have failed to put a stop to the growing madness in Washington, these two authorities will. Putin, still the real power in Russia, has described George W. as 10 times more dangerous than Adolph Hitler. His military commanders have repeatedly warned the White House to lay off Iran, Russia’s friend. Putin knows 9/11 was an inside job with more and worse treachery planned and that George W. has no intention of leaving the White House before declaring martial law and himself the new, improved Fuehrer. Russian nuclear forces are in a high state of readiness. For what? Connecting the dots is a simple matter. The Holy Bible makes it even clearer in Revelations Chapter 18 where we, America, are Babylon, destroyed by fire in one hour. It is all there in front of us, as clear as can be. But the few messengers pointing out this awful truth will be vilified and ridiculed until awesome nuclear fireballs silence their critics’ arrogance and silliness forever. Believe it or not, there is an end to this madness and it is coming soon….very, very soon. Be ready or be eternally sorry!!!!
