  • Kuwait: Iran strike reports exaggerated

Kuwait’s Parliament Speaker Jassem al-Kharafi says circulating reports about a possible military strike against Iran are ‘exaggerated’.

Kharafi made the remark in response to a question about a possible US or Israeli attack against Iran over its nuclear program, during a Sunday meeting with the editors of Kuwaiti media.

The speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly also predicted that Iran’s dispute with the West would end in a peaceful way. International efforts regarding the Islamic Republic’s nuclear issue will prove successful to some extent, he said.

During the past month, there has been a great deal of media hype internationally regarding a possible Israeli military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In the first week of June, the Israeli air force staged a maneuver off the southern Mediterranean Island of Crete in an apparent preparation for an attack on Iran.

The military exercise involved Israeli warplanes flying over 900 miles, almost the same distance from their airfields to a nuclear enrichment facility in the central Iranian city of Natanz.

The US, Israel and their allies accuse Tehran of trying to acquire atomic weapons. This is while Israel itself is widely believed to possess the Middle East’s only nuclear arsenal with 200 ready-to-use atomic warheads.

Iran, however, strongly rejects these allegations and insists that generating electricity is the sole purpose of its nuclear program.

To clarify its peaceful intentions, Iran has maintained cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, which has so far carried out at least 14 surprise inspections at the country’s nuclear sites without coming up with any evidence to support US claims on the issue.

Kuwait finally waking up to the fact that they were used!

The US could not care less about them, it’s not even a a country anymore, it’s just a base for US troops.

Iran is not going to wipe Isreal off the map! it’s going to wipe Kuwait off the map.

Bunch of idiots in Kuwait, use you little brains…….

      Wage slavery…. wikipedia….

      Know where you stand…
** 95% of americans are in the same boat…
** 5% of americans, are the wealthy elite…
** 1% of the wealthy americans have more money then the 95% americans combined…

GET RID OF THE 1% and you all have wealth,,, the river of cash flows in one direction,,, to ONE GIANT LAKE… Time for the lake to reverse and go back into the creeks and ponds… the lake only filled up, because the creeks and ponds cash was directed there…

I feel terrible for these poor Iranians that are constantly being barraged by this warmongering. These people are building centerfuges for “peaceful” purposes. Everyone knows that you need several thousand cenerfuges for…ah…HEY, what the HELL do you need several thousand centerfuges for if you AREN’T making weapons???

Wow, I’ve been duped! Boy it’s a good thing we have such a smart govenment to protect me. And those Kuwaites are definately safe and secure too!

I think that America should give up its nuclear program, and dismantle all of its weapon facilities before trying to bully other countries.
I think Iran should have long range ICBM’s to protect itself from AmeriKa.

    5. John Adams Says:

I’m happy to see that Jassem is publicy denying any intention to strike Iran. It is the Bushbarians and their sponsors who worry me.
Another mere coincidence *wink* that the drums of war are beating in tune to the election needs of the neocons?
Perhaps Obama would suit their needs just as well. In one month he has caved into warrantless wiretapping that abolishes the 4th Amendment, hired a WalMart honcho after saying that he doesn’t shop there, hired an economist rep of the Univ of Chicago school of economic genocide (Obama hails from the Univ of Chicago), and sold out to AIPAC.
I’d still take him over McNastys Machine- (McSame) who has sworn to carry on the traditions of the Bushbarians.
Oh what exciting times these are. I hope you have grains in the pantry and some gold. Just in case the power elite are shocking America prior to privatizing it. They have 36 countries under their belts now. Lots of shocking experiences in the past few decades.
They have terrorized me into investing in personal protection as well. A modicum of protection…against them.
Now I need some nausea medication knowing that Bush recently defiled Monticello with a speech about freedom. Though Bush is just a useful front man, it is convenient to simply say- Bush.
Vote for Ron Paul, our Founding Fathers and the Constitution that allowed the world to experiment with freedom. Sleep with a free conscience.
How about a political party called the Founding Fathers? Now that talk about the Constitution is considered to be riddled with ‘terrorist’ implications.

    6. Jigz Says:

Once the US leave the Iraq soil, within 5 seconds the Iranians will start to invade its neighboring countries.. one will not get anything from the other if the other is not giving anything.. that’s what you call relationship.. scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours.

US has been the world’s middleman.
      Wait till China wakes up.

      God help us all.
