Lawyer says Guantanamo abuse worse since Obama

Abuse of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay has worsened sharply since President Barack Obama took office as prison guards “get their kicks in” before the camp is closed, according to a lawyer who represents detainees.
Abuses began to pick up in December after Obama was elected, human rights lawyer Ahmed Ghappour told Reuters. He cited beatings, the dislocation of limbs, spraying of pepper spray into closed cells, applying pepper spray to toilet paper and over-forcefeeding detainees who are on hunger strike.
The Pentagon said on Monday that it had received renewed reports of prisoner abuse during a recent review of conditions at Guantanamo, but had concluded that all prisoners were being kept in accordance with the Geneva Conventions.
“According to my clients, there has been a ramping up in abuse since President Obama was inaugurated,” said Ghappour, a British-American lawyer with Reprieve, a legal charity that represents 31 detainees at Guantanamo.
“If one was to use one’s imagination, (one) could say that these traumatized, and for lack of a better word barbaric, guards were just basically trying to get their kicks in right now for fear that they won’t be able to later,” he said.

Debt bondage: In the United States for instance student loans can be viewed as a
contemporary form of debt bondage.
The phrase “loan shark” came into usage in the United States late in
the nineteenth century to describe a certain type of predatory lender.
who designed their credit products in such a way as to make orderly
retirement of the debt difficult. Borrowers became trapped by their
loans and were unable to pay off the principal. The interest payments
dragged on and many borrowers became virtual debt peons. As Cobleigh
explains, “The real aim of loan sharks is to keep their customers
eternally in debt so that interest (for the sharks) becomes almost an
annuity.”[1]
To compel repayment, the first loan sharks secured their cash advances
with chattel mortgages or wage assignments. A chattel mortgage
entitled the lender to repossess household goods in case of default. A
wage assignment gave the lender an enforceable claim on the debtor’s
next wage payment. Because many employers at that time made it a
policy to discharge employees against whom a wage assignment was
filed, this instrument of security was especially effective in
coercing debtors to keep making their payments.
There, student loans are no longer dischargeable in bankruptcy and,
without a guarantee of an income allowing debt repayment, income tax
refunds etc are routinely seized as a means of debt recovery.
With most (New Zealand) households servicing increasing debt, it is
within the realms of possibility that those on low incomes could
become targets for unscrupulous loan companies to offer various forms
of debt bondage as a means of clearing the debt rather than facing
bankruptcy. ”
Debt bondage can hardly be distinguished from traditional slavery
because it prevents the victim from leaving his job or the land he
tills until the money is repaid. Although in theory a debt is
repayable over a period of time, a situation of bondage arises when in
spite of all his efforts, the borrower cannot wipe it out.
Remember that both Debt bondage and student loans are not
dischargeable in bankruptcy.
According to Anti-Slavery International, “A person enters debt bondage
when their labour is demanded as a means of repayment
of a loan, or of money given in advance.
Student loans can be viewed as money given in advance.
Sound crazy? The point of ’student’ loans is that value of the work done by
a bonded labourer (borrower) is greater that the
original sum of money borrowed or advanced.
A total of $30,000 borrowed in the 1980s was recently declared worth
$100,000 today, and rising steadily. Student loans are
given out to a lot of people with no guarantee that the individual
will secure a form of employment where s/he can earn a
living wage and repay. Students contemplating borrowing money for
education should think twice, and first be sure they
understand the dynamics of credit and the economy over a long period
of time.
Once an individual defaults on a student loan,
they are unable to obtain any credit, even if they are otherwise
credit eligible. Income tax refunds of up to $2,000 per year
designed for single parents with documentable very low incomes and no
assets are routinely seized by collection agencies
acting on behalf of defaulted student loans.
Youth face another form of indenture: bankruptcy laws already exclude
forgiving student loans, while millions of young workers are condemned
to unemployment or poor-paying jobs.
Fortune magazine reported, “Mary, 30, will be in debt for years to
come. She already owes every penny she earns. In the circular, crazy
logic of the global labor economy, she owes the money precisely
because she has a job. And she is bound to her job as a result of her
debt. Once it would have been called indentured servitude.
What does International law say about this?
Debt bondage has been defined by the United Nations as a form of
“modern day slavery.”

And it mentions the end of time…the end of time is when the Earth completes it circuit around the universe that is what Dec 2012 is the end of this circuit and then time begins again as we go around the universe yet again. If it is a big circuit like it is….. then why did they choose this point to call the end???

Wormwood is the name for the Black Sun in the centre of the universe also known as it truly is a huge black hole and the cosmic rays that explode out of it and come hurling at us are poisonous and make the waters bitter as it says above. It apparently pulses but this could be true or not but the pulse has been measured so maybe it is true?

If I was a sadistic prison guard, I would try my very best to get to Gitmo. I would imagine that this is what Gitmo is really about — torture — kind of like a University. Then, with my experience at Gitmo, I could get a job anywhere.
