Legal bid to stop CERN atom smasher from ‘destroying the world’

Critics of the Large Hadron Collider – a £4.4 billion machine due to be switched on in ten days time – have lodged a lawsuit at the European Court for Human Rights against the 20 countries, including the UK, that fund the project.
The device is designed to replicate conditions that existed just a fraction of a second after the Big Bang, and its creators hope it will unlock the secrets of how the universe began.
However, opponents fear the machine, which will smash pieces of atoms together at high speed and generate temperatures of more than a trillion degrees centigrade, may create a mini-black hole that could tear the earth apart.

Scientists involved in the project have dismissed the fears as “absurd” and insist that extensive safety assessments on the 17 mile long particle accelerator have demonstrated that it is safe.
The legal battle comes as the European Nuclear Research Centre (CERN), in Geneva, prepares to send the first beam of particles around the machine at the official switch on, on September 10, although it will be several weeks before the first particles are collided together.

Does anyone know what time it is due to be switched on? So I can perhaps be at school and have a vaguely exiting few minutes waiting for the count down instead of listening to ‘man-made-global-warming’?

It’s such a shame most people have no understanding of what they are DOING at CERN. No one understands magnetics and torroidal physics. What’s sad is that what will happen because of CERN will be largely unknown to most people. None of us have all the answers on what they are doing this for, but Nassim Haramein has revealed the most on it. The search for a “God Particle” is idiotic, and he proves it.

Sure, you can ram particles into each other at the speed of light, just as you can drive a car into a brick wall at 100mph… just because you CAN, doesn’t mean you SHOULD! Everyone is looking at the worst-case scenario. If things don’t completely go pear-shaped, maybe they’ll just vapourise themselves instead and leave a big crater in the middle of Europe.

Who gives these scientists, governments, and corporations the right to carry out experiments that might or will affect every human on this planet? From “combating climate change” to these dooms day devices, these things affect EVERYONE!
It doesn’t matter to them that they might be wrong, it’s all about trying it anyway.
I feel the need for a global consensus to do these experiments, which would mean that they would probably never happen. And that’s quite alright in my book.

The big bang theory is a complete and utter load of crap. No such event could ever have happened. It completely violates the laws of conservation energy. It is a fanciful, atheistic ideology invented in some demented so-called scientists brain. If someone came up with the theory that the Hadron collider simply appeared by a chance interaction of chemicals who would believe it? And yet these demons claim that the minute order and intricacy found on all levels throughout the universe all came about by chance!! Fantasy!! Complete fantasy!!

Steve Williams, unfortunatly the first particles are going to be released on September 10, and we are not going to start our shooting war(s) until the 11th. Though some say the first beams will not do anything you never know. Personally, I rather see the missiles fly, I might survive that, not likely, but possible. I have never heard of any one crossing a singularity who survived!!

Actually, Big Bang theory is NOT an “atheistic” invention. In fact my feeling is that it was a cop-out used by physicists to mollify the creationists like YOU, who insisted the universe was created by a superpowerful being.
By leaving the possibility for a “creator” the Big Bang is the closest thing to religious bullshit in science. I personally don’t believe in a “Big Bang”, and there are in fact several competing theories that have been postulated, for example plasma cosmology. However, for now at least, Big Bang cosmology is the accepted explanation for the observed characteristics of the universe, and until a better theory comes along it will have to do.
You seem to believe the entire universe was created as is by some fantasy being. As such, I can only conclude you are a retarded idiot.

There are three possible outcomes to any experiments preformed at the LHC;
1. Nothing new happens, I.E., no new scientific data, stemming from a possible misunderstanding of quantum mechanics.
2. A second “scientific age” could be sparked and we could be one step closer to the control of gravity, time, matter and the “anti’s” of said phenomenon
3. We could destroy the universe with a second big bang, or if a exponential black hole is created we might suffer the same fate.
Either way you slice it, they will do this. Its taken too long for them to get the LHC up and running to pull the plug now. But if you want a sony play station 4, we better step aside and let the nerds figure it out.

Sure we have the technology to destroy the creation, but scientists still haven’t found a way to destroy the Creator, and ultimately it really isn’t a choice that we can exercise, whether to destroy the earth or not. God will bring to ruin those who are ruining the earth, and He has created it even to be inhabited. The earth will not be made to totter even to time indefinite.

You know, this is really funny. We are sitting here talking about someone making micro black holes and saying they are not dangerous because they are MICRO. Um…they might start out as MBH, but when they start absorbing light and matter and each other they won’t be micro anymore. And just exactly HOW do these so-called qualified scientists know there is no danger? Isn’t a black hole created when a star is compressed? That’s what makes it so dense. So, now we are going to compress an atom. So okay, the gravity will not be on the scale of a star at first, but as it absorbs more energy and such it will increase. A whole bunch of MBH(micro black holes) can become MiBH(mini black holes)which can become BH! Don’t say I don’t know what I’m talking about, because neither do the qualified scientists! They have taken precautions? How do you prepare for a force of nature??

Not to mention that this would require infinite energy, and we see that energy is still all around us and not stuck in some non-existent(zero-size), infinitely massive black hole.

According to some “physicists”, CERN armed with its latest expensive contraption (the LHC) is conducting superduper experiments so advanced that they might accidently create a “blackhole” which could swallow the Earth and its super intelligent inhabitants in a blink of an eye. OH NO THIS MAY HAPPEN IN A FEW DAYS!
Luckily, a bunch of heroic “physicists” have launched a suit against CERN to put a stop to this dangerous experiment, and save the world in the process. Phew! That was close.

Unfortunately the “science” that the LHC hypothesis is based upon is the most probably quite deeply flawed “Godless” Einstein/Lorentz notion of contradictory ‘relativisms” due to their refusal to view Gravitation as the 5th dimension.
In their childishly stupid 4 Dimensional (adding Gravitational space to Temporal time as a single dimension is a fundamental error) universe, Gravity is made into an isolated “local field” or belittled into some sort of a “weak force” due, they postulated, to some form of a “Gravity Particle” (The “God Particle” which the LHC is trying to find), when in fact, we know from the Black Hole thesis itself that Gravity is in fact the Universal Attractive Creative 5th Dimension of All Love Itself that is more powerful than the inertia of any mass of any size (nothing is immovable to it) and faster than the fastest speed of any quanta of energy (capture speed is beyond the speed of light), and the very mass-neutron microgravitational binding force that is released when atoms are split (infinitely powerful in infinitesimal quantities), and the transcendental upper dimension that distinguishes and defines all that exists from all that does not.
They theorize that “they may have made briefly present microscopic black holes” in prior small scale Hadron colliders, but the simple fact that they still must say “may have” proves the science that they have no clue what they are doing.
