Some have cried themselves to sleep and others have had so much post-election stress that they have been excused from work and from final exams to process their candidate losing the White House.
But many liberals are finding it cathartic to take pictures of themselves raising their middle fingers in a bitter salute to President-elect Donald Trump when passing his building in New York City and posting it online.
It’s become a sort of tourist craze with visitors stopping by just to disrespect the inanimate object that has triggered their disdain. Even international tourists are getting in on the bird flipping. One posted a picture to Instagram, stating, “It’s 6 A.M. and I have just landed in the United States. This was the first thing on my agenda.”
Some were even more threatening, though not brave enough to show their face, telling Trump, “Happy Holidays, sh*t bag. May you be impeached or worse in the New Year.”
Even kids couldn’t resist adding their selfies while on vacation with their families:
The hashtag #NotMyPresident was abundant on posts, especially for one woman who used it and MANY others to get her double-bird across: “When you run into this and won’t let it ruin the mood.”
And still, others defended their vulgarity by insisting Trump has done far worse:
There are a bunch of others over at Breitbart.
