LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY – A man died after Metro Louisville police used an electrical stun device on him to break up a fight.
A police spokeswoman told the Courier-Journal the man went into what she described as a “medical emergency” after a police officer shocked him with the stun gun late Wednesday night.
Police performed CPR on him until an ambulance arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said the man and his brother were fighting and the first officer on the scene called for backup.

The man, his brother and the two officers were not immediately identified. In September 2006, Louisville police shocked another man with a stun gun and he also died.
A coroner’s report concluded that man died of a condition known as excited delirium.

I finally figured it out…..the people that die from excited delirium, are just normal, and the excited delirium, is on the part of the cops that use these “less lethal” tools, they are the real Excited ones.

As a former resident of this shithole town, let me say I’m not surprised. First they fire on an UNARMED 16 yr. old black kid, killing him (And give each other a fucking medal for it!!!) Then they beat up anybody they please. Then they deal drugs in the high schools. (First hand knowledge) And now they are tasering “civilians” to death because they’re to dam spolied and lazy to do their jobs. People are dying so the damn cops don’t have to lift a finger and dirty their uniforms. Meanwhile the body count just got higher. Those pigs are scum and Abramson is their “fairy-in cheif.” Is this the progress that merger promised us… I think NOT!!! Abramson should be impeached! He lies like a Clinton! Louisville is becoming as backward as Cincinnati!

I too am a former resident of the town, but I read the whole story and have seen pictures of the guy that got tazed. He is a big brute of a scumbag, he had a weapon in his hand and he was fighting with the police. I believe they showed great restraint in this instance by only tazing him. He got what he deserved.

OK, so 1 out of a 100 is justified. What about the other 99? Unfortunately, there are too many pigs that use the taser for torture enjoyment or because they are cowards. Tasering women and children just won’t cut it.

The cops can only push so hard before people begin to fight back. A cop driving down the road in the middle of the night is a pretty easy target for a hunting rifle. I think if I were a cop, I would cool my jets because if even a tiny fraction of the people begin to fight back this way, they are gone in a day.
Cops stick together like thieves. (I always say a cop is a crook in denial) If people randomly targeted a cop every time they killed an innocent person, I think the the good cops would stop defending the crooked cops and you would have a more honest police force. Not suggesting you do that but when people begin to fight back in real ways or large numbers, the cops are going to remember who they really work for real quick.

If anybody out there is interested there is a way to defend against a taser attack. It’s called “Thor Shield”. You can read about it on On Thorshield.com. They will not sell to thr public.
If you’re handy you can make one yourself. You will need to know how to use a sewing machine or know a taylor.
Current always takes the path of least resistance, even in a taser or a stun gun. Aluminum foil is a perfect conductor.
TO make a taser vest you need to sandwich a piece of aluminum foil between two pieces of light fabric. After you sew them together, you cut out your chest and back shapes and stitch up the edges, attach velcro to the shoulders and sides, then it’s ready to wear. Costs about $10.00.
To prove it works, if you have a stun gun or taser, take a piece of tin foil and bring the prongs of the device to 1/4 inch of the foil and press the button. It will arch across to the foil. Then place the foil on your bare leg and do the same thing, you will feel nothing. You can use the device to punch holes in the foil and press to your leg, press the button and again you will feel nothing.
This protective device works because there is more resistance in the human body than in the aluminum foil. The current goes directly back to the source without touching you.
Try it.

i used to live there in louisville…! thank god i left. I new the mayor (JOHN celletti). Trust me when i say the cops are crooks. I left because i was railroaded, bigtime. But at least I got out alive…… don’t trust those politicians also. Unless you have a few grand CASH “in-hand”

I’m so tired of hearing about cops killing people with their tasers,They are too fuckin scared to get in the mix with someone.So the opt the easy way out..Maybe a few cops need to be on the recieving end for a while.I really believe cops fuckin hate the public.They wonder why cop killing is getting out of control,they need to step back and ask themselves why is this happening.They used to protect and serve.Now all they do is HARRASS AND KILL.FUCK EM’

You should not be allowed to be a police officer until you can go 3 rounds in the UFC. I am noticing a correlation between obesity and tazing. I am serious about my previous statement. All police should be at least a black belt in a striking discipline and grappling, and from a reputable school that injects martial arts philosophy. I think acroos the nation physical fitness standards for police are pathetic. I wonder if they know that the techniques employed by them make them look quite frankly like cowards and bullies not like concerned citizens trying to make a difference.

Unfortunately, today most cops are people that want power over other people. Putting on a badge makes you a big man and that means you can push others around. Most people that are OK with police brutality fit into two distinct categories. The first group identifies with cops. They would like to be able to do the same things cops do, so they live vicariously through their heros, the police. The second group that thinks aggressive, intrusive policing of the population is OK are the chicken shits of society that want a “big brother” figure that they think is protecting them from all the bad things in the world. These folks come from all walks of life and feel that it is their right not to have to worry about providing for their families protection. These people by far are the most numerous of the two groups. They look at the police as people that will protect them, if and when they should ever need protection. It relieves them of the responsibility of self defense for both themselves and their family.
Years ago, if a small group of hoodlums tried to bully and intimidate a neighborhood, the men of that neighborhood would have dealt with it. Now, today’s “men” want the cops to take care of it for them. They’re too busy watching their sports events and surfing porn on the internet to deal with the real world. We are living in a society that has willingly plugged themselves into the Matrix and wants the government to deal with the real world so they can concentrate on their self made fantasy world. As long as the have their favorite TV shows and sports figures, they could care less how free they are. America is in for a lot of pain and suffering.

I think if an independent non-profit company was put in place to investigate every police officers actions every week, then cops would do a much better and safer job. If cops were TRAINED on MORALS and ETHICS especially when using lethals or even “less lethals” and trained on the possible after effects like “excited delirium” aka death by cops stun gun or pepper spray (or as an excuse for murder in some cases). Cops have gotten out of control. I’ve been pulled over many times and harassed simply for being a 25 yr old male driving at night. One cop pulled me over because “you looked like you wanted to talk to me… you didnt look to happy when i came up beside you” lol wtf… I live in a downtown area and I’ve seen a guy getting jumped off his bike by two guys from my window…. now i was calling the police when a police officer drove by…. and he slowed down and turned his lights on them… so i hung up.. the cop didnt even get out of his car to take a story as a bike lies there in 5 pieces.. just sends them in opposite directions and drives off.. he stopped for MAYBE 15 seconds total and did nothing on the side of justice. I think as far as the stun guns go.. they need better training… a taser is NOT a NON LETHAL device… IT is a “LESS lethal” device… meaning it WILL kill… just less often. And if the cops paid attention in their training they would know that…. most cops fear things like AIDS and Hepatitis (very common for cops to get) when wrestling with crackheads n such.
Really, its a tough situation… the only thing you can do to fix it is MORE ACCOUNTABILITY from the ground up to the top levels. Right now a cop can shoot someone out of cold blood because he was having a bad day… if the cop has friends they will doctor the story, suspend him WITH pay (nice vacation) until it all boils over…. if it doesnt boil over then they move him to some desert city where nobody will ever realize he is still a cop. COPS ARE A LEGAL GANG.. just like any gang theres good guys and bad guys in it.. best to just be smart and figure out how to keep them happy when they are around. If shit gets out of control theres a reason we have a right to bear arms.. and its to fight back against a supressive government… and remember the military they have to defend them… are OUR familys… seems like too many people forget this these days.. anyways.. just food for thought
